Hey guys.
So lately i've been thinking about backpacking in australia for a year or two.
Has anyone on here done that or do you know anyone who did so?
What was it like? Would you recommend it?
And how much do you work and how much do you tzravel when you're down there?
I am doing this tomorrow, flying into Melbourne, have no plan, or idea what the fuck I'm doing, sure it will work out

where are you from and how much did you pay for your ticket?
U.K, £450.
Where are you flying from?
I'm flying in early April. Got a working holiday visa and plan to work in Melbourne for 3 months, buy a motor cycle and then drive up the east coast slowly towards Cairns. Spent 560 eur on the airfare.
Have fun spending all your money in a month and being completely disappointed!
Fuck off we're full.

>being disappointed
Why? You are the first one to say something negative about it. It's refreshing and interesting to finally hear a different opinion.
Hey guy from London here again, just thought I'd stop by and tell you that you should upgrade your plane seat out of economy if you can budget it, holy shit.

I will barely even have the money for an economy seat since i plan on visiting some people in colombia for 6 months after a year or two in Australia before going back to my home country.
I'll just resist the spicy food before going into the plane and it should be fine.
It's important to remember that Australia is pretty expensive in general than the States or the UK. Our minimum wage is much higher than the States, for sure. Working on farms is very popular, and it's pretty easy to stumble into some easy cashinhandies around smaller towns, especially if you've some labour skills.
