Hi. everyone in 4chan, I am Japanese .
This is first time I use this web site and i am sorry for my bad English.
What do you guys think of Japanese stationeries?
Is it good or not? You can buy these useful stuff in your country? What Japanese stuff is good for souvenir you think? Have you ever bought any of these in japan?

If you have a time, please give me answer.

アメリカで買うのは結構高いけど。。。お土産だと若い人だと喜ぶかも。
たぶんお菓子とかのほうがいいと思います。

M8, don't be condescending just to try to flex your Japanese ability no one cares. Clearly his or her English is quite fine, and saying "I'm sorry my English is bad" is just a very humble Japanese thing to do.

You know how gaijin get mad when they try to speak Japanese to Japanese people and Japanese people default to English anyway?

You're doing that. Stop being a knob.

>mfw im fucking japanese
you're kidding right? you're right, their english isn't bad at all. i'm just typing in Japanese so it'll be easier for them to understand. please, point out what's condescending about that.

>Implying Japanese people don't appreciate it when you continue along in Japanese because they didn't actually want to speak English but were just being nice

Konnichiwa, my name is Ken-Sama.
I’m a 27 year! I draw Anime and Manga on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art.

I like ancient weaponry! I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.

I speak Japanese fluently, even the Kansai dialect, and I write fluently as well.

When I get my Japanese visa, I am moving to Tokyo to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Studio Ghibli!

I own several kimonos, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Japan, so I can fit in easier.

During my trip, I will try to buy a kimono, a katana and some manga from the famous Akihabara district.

Wish me luck in Japan!

>"I'm fucking Japanese"
>absentmindedly goofing by mixing casual 〜かも with stiff 思います。

Telltale rookie mistake man, should have been more careful if you wanted to LARP as native Japanese after being called out. Clearly you have good Japanese ability, but this NOT something Japanese people will do. It sounds strange to mix politeness levels in a single thought like that. (Your obvious goof aside, your English is clearly too 100% effortlessly perfect with none of even the very slightly off, subtle telltale speaking/writing patterns that even very advanced Japanese English speakers will still use). Yes, of course there are very very few Japanese who can type perfectly, but the chances of them being on this cartoon porn forum on this thread at this time...come on do I have to spell it out?

And even if you were Japanese (you have proven you are not). So what. They asked the question in English. Answer in English. If they don't understand then use Japanese.

>i'm just typing in Japanese so it'll be easier for them to understand. please, point out what's condescending about that.

Did they ask you to hold their hand? Is it so much to just answer an English question in English? Your answering immediately in Japanese is really just as much as to say "Yeah, English? Don't even try."

That's what's condescending about it.

And again, given that you're a foreigner, you're doing that thing that foreigners hate when the situation is reversed.

Anyway, OP:

>What Japanese stuff is good for souvenir you think?

People usually really like Japanese exclusive snacks like green tea KitKat etc. Maybe a daruma or maneki neko.

>Telltale rookie mistake man
Gonna admit, that gave me a good chuckle. What are you, some sort of self righteous weeb detective? Do I need some sort of affidavit to prove I'm Japanese cause I don't care much for formality on fucking 4chan?
Holy fuck, and you're calling ME condescending? Damn, you got me, you are ABSOLUTELY right. I'm a big fat liar and bilingual people don't exist. Why don't you pull your head out of your ass and realize nobody's 100% perfect with both languages that they speak? But hey, I'm the condescending douche for being raised mostly on familial/informal Japanese, right?

Mind your own fucking business next time.

im murrikan living in nihon and gotta say the japanese stationary is terrible
its so god damn expensive that i imported my stationary from murrika and still saved money over buying japanese stationary.
>>
>Thread completely derailed by weebs arguing about who writes better chink speak

>>1210254
yeah im learning japanese and find the most arrogant assholes are the weebs who never left their mom's basement pretending to be experts on the language
>>

I am Canadian.

I can usually buy Japanese stationery here, because lots of Asians live here. We even have a few Daiso stores.

If you're going to gift any Japanese stationery, try to give something that's not easy to find.

For example, I love Sarasa pens. I like any pens with a point that is less than 0.3mm. Here in Canada, you can usually only find 0.5mm or bigger. It's hard to find anything smaller.
>>
>>1210200

I really like stationary and pens and markers. I think they are a nice gift. America has some stationary, but it is not used much. They are maybe used on special occasions and holidays.
>>
It's nice but German is better. Japanese stationary is common worldwide so it's not a great present.

If your recipient is a weeb give him some anime merchandise, otherwise a pretty bottle of sake/shochu/whisky.
>>
People always ask me for Japanese knives (for making food) when I go there. They have some really great ones in Tokyu Hands (the ceramic ones) which are not so expensive so I would opts for something like that if they're in to cooking.
>>

I like this picture.

ive worked in hotel business for years. depends on who you are visiting but in general your clothes really stand out here.

if you are visiting someone young your clothes look like they are from the future. they are very impressive. even some cheap crazy shirt would be nice. doesn't have to be a designer brand.

if you have a business trip stationary is cool. but it might not have as broad of audience. I guess we would need to know who you are visiting?

I've noticed most Japanese business travelers go right for the american cigarettes.
>>
I would honestly give hiroshimoot like $1000 to ban all weebs from /trv/.

You guys are absolutely autistic. Worse than Aussie shitposters and leafs combined.
>>
>>1210200
I actually really like Japanese stationary. Currently the pen I am using is a 0.25mm pen from some shop called MUJI. It writes very.
>>
Had a Uni Kuru Toga for a while and I absolutely loved it, also have some japanese stationaries I bought in San Francisco, paper quality is so good I feel bad about using them. From Mexico.
>>
>>1211530
I would match your $1000.
Gas the weebs. /trv/ purge now!
>>
>>1210241
found the condescending weeb autist
i loled pretty hard thanks
>>
>>1210200
I have had only good experiences with Japanese products. I know Pentel is probably shit tier japanese stationery, but ive only had good experiences with it, its great to me. I think some nice, quality, unique Japanese pens/ mechanical pencils would be a good souveneir, especially for a university student or something like that.
