Which would you rather do? I have a pretty cheap way to do either;
>Golden ring in Iceland for one day, then camping and BBQ on a glacier in Greenland for 2
Or
>Fossil hunting in Svalbard, then visit the almost abandoned Soviet mining town

>abandoned
>Soviet
I reached a preference pretty quickly
Definately the second one
Both sounds nice.
I'd also go with the second one, but it obviously depends on price too.
Neither one sounds cheap but if there's a considerable price difference, I may choose for the cheaper regardless because both sound really nice.
So, how much for each?

Both trips are nearly $1,000 including flights.
Svalbard would be two days and a night, while Greenland and Iceland would be slightly cheaper and 3 days, but with that I'd need to coordinate two different tour companies. Normally I wouldn't book a tour but there's polar bears and I don't feel like dying.

They both sound awesome, but the second one sounds more unique so I'd go with that. Could I inquire as to how you can do this for so cheaply?

I was lucky enough to get stationed in Europe for the military. I've always been /trv/ at heart but it sucks having to save up thousands for plane tickets, here if it isn't Ryanair it's still cheap. Now I've got some savings, plus living expenses are mostly paid for.
I plan on seeing Europe too because you can just hop flights all over on the weekends, but this trip could be more memorable.
