Dear fellow numbnuts ja fukwads,
I'm flying from Amsterdam to Cancun via Atlanta. Do I have to re-check my bags, go through US immigration and customs et cetera nonsense manouvers? It will be the same airliner in all the flight legs.

There are cheap flights from Brussels to Cancun with Jetarifly/TUI.
Also, don't go to Cancun, go to any other place in Mexico, but not Cancun.

Maybe... kinda depends on the set u but yes you will more than likely have to go through customs rigamarole at the luggage carousel and then just hand it off to the connecting flight crew right on the other side of the wall.. pain in the ass I know so my suggestion is run the devil at landing to get in front of everyone else cause the TSA lag can cause you to miss your connection..

Thanks for the info. Layover time is 3 hours, hopefully that's enough. Naah, I have booked my seat in the rear part of the plane (near the galley so I can try to smother my huge thirst)...

>For example, a flight between the United Kingdom and Mexico may well enter the airspace of the United States, and nearly all flights from Canada to Latin America pass over the US. All flights traveling through the airspace of the United States are expected to provide passenger details, even if there is no intention to land in the United States on the way. If your name is on a no-fly or other watch list, then your airline may deny you permission to board your flight.
Man, the Nucksters have it bad.

Dude, even in Schiphol as close and connected as it is to downtown Amsterdam I wouldn't think about leaving the airport if I only had that much time
