Anyone has been in Malta? Especially in February, for a spontaneous trip since we didnt plan normally to go abroad for that week.
Seems very cheap, nice landscape for videos and pictures.
Do we need a car or can we take the public bus without any problems?
Any stories to share? Are there " party locations "? And how open minded are the people there?

the whole island is very touristy, people are very open minded, as it's a huge tourist destination, you can take the public bus usually, on gozo you can basically walk everywhere..
St Julians is lovely
Yo, Swede living in Sliema.
I would go to Malta in April-May, since it will be hot and not too packed with tourists.
Paceville in St. Julians will have raves, stripclubs and cheep booze.
You shall go for a hotel in near Sliema, close to party, food and culture.
Buses go pretty much all the time, and most of the stuff to do is in the Sliema area, so you can pretty much walk where ever you want.
How old are you? What do you like? I can give you some tips
Thanks guys! op here.
We will be around 5 people, so a car is not recommended, even if its not high season? ( public transport )
We are 22-26 years old, 2 girls, so no strip club unfortunately i guess hehe.
We wanna do a " travel " video from malta, so locations like the blue lagoon and similar stuff would be nice.
I'm going 25th Feb to 4 March staying in Valletta; hoping the weather will be somewhat decent
They drive like shit here, i guess you can decide about renting a car when you get here.
There will be boats going to Blue Lagoon daily.
Then if you are in that age, partying in Paceville is a must, I also recommend "the funky monkey" in Gzira, even tho its not in paceville.
Maltese here.
You can take public transportation without much trouble but if you're 5 people, a rental car can serve you well. Lots of places to see and a lot of them are in areas with dogshit bus schedules. Be aware though, we drive like fucking maniacs and road laws are more like vague suggestions.
People are open-minded but not too much. You can be openly gay here, but don't expect to talk about your love of 3-way rimjob sessions without being looked at like a freakshow.
St Julians is the "hangout town", tons of clubs, and pubs. Sliema, Bugibba, Marsaskala also (though there's more restaurants there and it's the south, my backyard, it's fuckin' beautiful). Valletta also has a good few pubs for a nice nightlife but there's a lot of hipsters due to them being jazz-y bars.
Just waking up so I apologize for lack of post quality, but will be monitoring the thread. Happy to answer any questions you have. My payment is one of your qts (I'm kidding)
I went there in January. Imo mainland Malta is very densely populated save maybe the north and west island and they drive like absolute madmen.
I don't know if it's still like this but it was fucking cold and windy when I went and the hostels i stayed in didn't habe heating so it was horrible. Make sure you book a proper hotel which actually has heating otherwise you're going to freeze your ass off.
My favorite part was Gozo, loads of vegetation because winter and really comfy for wandering/hiking
