South Island is best island. Try L&P (Lemon & Peroa) soda, you can find it next to Coke. The only decent fast food is Nando's chicken. The restaurants there suck and are overpriced.

Ignore this guy, the Fish & Chips is consistently amazing and it's not hard to find a decent pie. There is an abundance of fried food though.

Go and visit one of the bird park islands, there's a few and all are worth visiting.

As an Australian, the kiwis somehow do pies so much better then us.

Expect huge portions for things at restaurants
