Summer trip to Gold Coast, Australia

Asshole of this planet.
I hated every fucking minute I spent in in Gold Coast. Disgusting place.
I did get really high on pills with some english guys I met at bar where I was trying to pass the time because I was dumb enough to book my hostel for two nights.

Cesspool, unless you like surfing and in that case head down to the border, Rainbow Bay, snapper and dbah. Would not recommend spending more than 1 or 2 nights maximum

July is actually their winter. Nice beach and surfers paradise was nice. Good for a short trip

I spent a week there. I did the touristy stuff, went to the casino, wind surfing, parasailing, went out to a place where they make boomerangs. Fun stuff to pass time, but not very enriching. Certainly didn't hate it. The locals were not particularly friendly, but met some great people from New Zealand.

fags, I live here and you poofs are the most generic tourists we get. You do some drugs, swim a few times, hit the clubs and then act like you experienced the damn city.

OP, if you can get a car you should hit up Springbrook National Park. Mount Cougal has a beautiful swimming hole. The beaches are also fantastic and there's shopping in Pacific Fair.

also you could do drugs and get really drunk in clubs because we are a party town, after all.
