How do you get one?

Using Tinder Plus a few days ahead of time has told me much more about cities than lonely planet ever has. Just say, "Hey! I'm from <country>, and I'm coming to <their city> in a few days for the first time. Any recommendations?"

You'll get loads of info and invitations to go with them to any events that are going on then. Start the conversation with a bunch of girls, let it die for a day, then see who re-starts the conversation with you later by saying hello. That's who you want to go for.

Best to have a folio or wallet type case on your phone. From here there are two methods

1. Have the camera on phone closed, thumb inside on the shutter button. Tjis one is good fo taking creep shots to the left or right of you or in dense areas where others can see your screen

3. Hold your folio phone like a book but at about chest level and vertical, or diagonal, angle. Act like you are using an app, but you are really taking pics. This is could for less dense surroundings and when your target is directly in front of you

you don't actually need to buy tinder plus. Just set fake location on your phone (look up howto, it's easy)

I have never used Tinder, but have found success with other social media and dating platforms, and language exchanges. Even forums, or old school meeting local women in bars

What's your country of origin? Do the legwork and fl her to you for a visit. Save money for the plane ticket while undergoing the visa process.

My girlfriend is from Ukraine and we traveled around there for a few weeks.
It was the best trip of my life and I felt like a local even though I could hardly speak to anybody.

I landed in Kyiv and only went south/east; Uman, Odesa, Lviv, etc..
I am also interested in visiting Mariupol but my girlfriend had no interest and I wouldn't want to go there alone.

Earlier this year (or maybe winter 2015?) some anon solo traveled around Ukraine and spent a lot of time in Mariupol.

If you search "Mariupol" in a /trv/ archive you'll most likely find his posts. They were really interesting.

Couchsurf also has meetups and hang-outs with other users, so it doesn't have to be limited to people who would consider banging you if it's mostly the local tour guide you're after. Sometimes it's just other couchsurfers that want to try new stuff together with someone but sometimes there are locals who don't mind doing something fun. I tried it once and it was fun to tourist in my own city while feeling big headed about explaining local stuff to a qt tourist (who is no my girlfriend)
