I'm an American with the dream of leaving this horrible country. Which country is the best option for a poor college student?

Pic related is what peaks my interest. Of course this is for the far future.

I'd also like to know which has the best landscapes. That's important.

I'd obviously have to learn a new language so that'll be a hassle.

and just for some clarification, I'm a white looking fellow so I can fit right in, in terms of appearance.

I forgot to state that this is for a permanent relocation. Not a vacation.

you woulnt believe but im European and i came to ask the same quesion about USA.

Now, if you want really peaceful, docile country in EU , real answer would be Slovenia, not some viking state.
But,by seeing your question I think its not problem in country but in you(also me,im not judging here).
Any dountry can be hell or paradise, even downright shitholes of Earth.
>>
>>1168858
Well I don't plan on moving until I get a college degree. Then maybe a country can take me in and offer me something. I know life can be shitty but I think I can pull through.

I just absolutely hate America. I am in New York. It's nice but I think somewhere in Europe is best for me.
Canada/Netherlands/New Zealand were also options but meh.
>>
Its really easy to come to europe for studying and probably fairly easy to get government support for it, too, if you can convince them that youre worth it.
After that it gets a bit more difficult depending on what you study, because you need to find a job that requires your specific subject of study and cant be filled with a schengen resident, although that makes it sound more difficult than it really is.

Landscape wise there is no place that doesnt have any, so it entirely depends on what you want to do, and language wise dont worry: lots of lectures here in germany at least are english anyways, and with a basic course you should be able to learn any language quickly just from living there.

Swede here. The Nordic countries all obviously have their good and bad sides. As for nature the one in Norway is far superior, Sweden and Finland have a lot of beautiful forests, who everyone by law has to right to access. As for Denmark... Well if you dislike mountains it's perfect. I think their coasts are quite alright as well.

When it comes to things such as language I would suggest to not select Finland as the Scandinavian languages are similar to English and if I remember correctly they are among the easiest languages in the world to learn for native English speakers.

At my university there are plenty of master programs in English and we have a lot of foreign students here who all seem to get around very well with only English however. But when it comes to entering the labor market 99% of workplaces definitely requires you to speak Swedish. Which is why a lot of them move back to their countries afterwards (unless they get a Swedish spouse or something). Unless you find a small start up or a more international company the language barrier is definitely the biggest issue and perhaps this is more flexible in other European countries.

>>
>>1168936
It's the way the world is going. You'll just have to get used to it. In a few generations white people will be a very rare sight in Scandinavia, and probably in the US, too. But I think the taboo on interracial couples might be a bit more pronounced in the US, for historical reasons. Race-mixing has never been looked down upon here, and it is very common. I think everyone I know has been in an interracial couple at least once.
>>
>>1168938
Ah gee, well I'm curious.. Do you have a problem with race mixing?

Like I said, I will most likely be race mixing too and I have had interracial relationships but I think that's fine since I live in America. White dominant countries is a bit different to me.
>>
>>1168940
No. I'm actually mixed race, myself.
And I think most of the natives don't mind. I think the majority of them would welcome the replacement of the native population by islamists from the Middle East and Africa. I personally do not support that, but out of all my native friends, only one or two want less muslim immigration.
>>
I think all Nordic countries are very similar so it doesn't matter much which you would choose. Norway has by far the best sceneries though. Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are easy languages for an english speaker and also mutually inteligible, so after learning one you could comfortably work and live in any of the countries. Danish is probably the hardest out of the three because of their pronounciation. Finnish is difficult and also not mutually intelligible with the other languages, but parts of Finland are bilingual with Swedish.
>>
>>1168853
First, understand that moving to a different country is not like moving between states in the US -- in general, there is paperwork and permissions and such, especially if you are thinking is terms of staying.

Being a student is helpful it is easier to get a student visa than it would be for a self-described poor person to immigrate

Also, you will probably want to be a better student than your use of "peaks my interest" indicates.

>>1168858
Very believable, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Does bring up a point worth stressing though, when contemplating moving away from how horrible everything is -- often, a lot of that is internal, and moves with you.

>>1168859
Reading this, moving is not the answer for you, the disillusionment might literally kill you. In school it is fun to be all edgy "Murka sucks hur," I know. Been there, done that.

Let me ask you a serious question -- have you traveled to any of these places that you are viewing as your potential Utopia? And I don't mean "visited for a week," though even that might help. I mean, go spend a month or two, get to know the place. Might be a good idea.

And don;t get stupid and renounce your US citizenship or burn your bridges.

>>1168865
Yeah, all attempts to take you seriously and help you just died. So yeah, move to Europe at once, renounce citizenship here, maybe dramatically burn your US Passport in from of the embassy or something.
>>
>>1168959
I'm aware of the paperwork. Also no I haven't been to any of these countries I listed. However, I will obviously visit there to see how it is and I also would do tons of research before making a final decision. This thread is just mere decision making.

>>1168859
American degrees are mostly a joke in Europe, even if the over-all quality of education is on a downward path everywhere.
In any case, Denmark would be the easier country for an American to move to as Denmark has always had the closer relationship to US, and I'm pretty sure certain agreements are in place in questions of passport or visa. As for landscapes, go to Norway if you want mountains, Denmark if you want coastlines and rolling hills, and Sweden if you like eating shit.
Bear in mind, though, that Norway and Sweden are both dictatorships with a monopoly on alcohol, meaning any joy has to be administered by the state in places that close early and are expensive as fuck.
Danish will be the hardest language to learn of the three, but you won't ever become so proficient that you don't stick out anyway, though even still you have to try if you don't want to get treated like an uninvited guest all your life.

No, you're recognised as having INCREDIBLY expensive universities. Apart from the elite few (Harvard, Stanford, MIT) no one regards an education from a 'Merican university as anything worthwhile.

>he wants to move to europe
KEK hop aboard the cuck train.
Western, Northern, and Southern Europe are as culturally "enriched" as coastal USA and great lakes. Eastern Europe is based, but still much less wealthier than rural USA which is equally based.
Move to Alaska or Montana. Beautiful scenery without shitskins, and a high standard of living.
Wyoming is also nice for nature, etc. (unless you're worried about yellowstone).

Depends on where. In Stockholm there's a lack of apartments centrally so you really need to know someone/have money. You can usually rent apartments/sublet apartment from someone else pretty easily in smaller cities however.
I don't really know about the other countries than Sweden but there's plenty of people living in Malmö (Sweden) and working in Denmark so I'm assuming that it's even more expensive there.

wouldn't really suggest sweden as a swede, it's cold and extremely boring and frigid. pubs close 01:00, alcohol monopoly, low wages though high welfare, high taxes, lots of immigrants and gypsies especially right now. norway and finland is mostly the same, denmark is pretty good though i'll have to admit.

OK, This exact same thread is already on here, the only difference is that it's a Mexican guy and he is saying the exact same things about how horrible America is. This is not a question for /trv/ because It's under the premises that America is some sort of intangible bad guy that everyone can scape goat on.

>" I'm only 19 and America sucks and is racist"

Jesus Christ you people really need to leave your parents basements and talk to people outside of your click, you only hate America because it's popular to hate America you fad following faggot. Be fucking original and post shit like this in /pol/.

I suggest you move someplace else in the States first. Finish your studies, work some years, see if you still want to do this in 5 years from now on.

The single reasons these countries are doing better compared to others in some ways, are simply the fact that the population is very low. Add another couple of millions, and they will all turn into shit pretty fast.

Whats the minimum required height for males to live in denmark?
>>
I don't know why you want to move, but as a poor college student I can't recommend Scandinavia (don't know about Finland).
Firstly, the people are very nice but circles are tight knit and making friends as a foreigner who doesn't speak the language is very difficult (Norwegian is the easiest to learn) . So moving to start again is going to be a bitch if you plan on having a social life.
Secondly, finding accommodation in a place which isn't in the middle of no where is also very difficult and also expensive,( in decent cities at least).
Thirdly, getting a job (in your field) with no experience, no second languages (I'm assuming), no connections and I assume no visa is also going to be fucked.
I've lived in bergen for a year and am now in my third year in copenhagen studying, if you're still in school, I'd probably try and get a student exchange and see what it's like.

The typical meme of hating your own country is apparent here eh.

If you like mountains and fjords you should go to Norway. However, Norway is also the least populated country despite its size, so if you like being around people you pretty much have to live in Oslo. Rural parts in Scandinavia are not easy for total foreigners. Norway is also extremely expensive for most parts.

Denmark has another kind of nature, beautiful in its own right. Think total flatlands with yellow cornfields and purple lavender. It's a magnificent sight to behold in the summertimes. As mentioned in the thread, the coastlines are very nice too with white sandy beaches, rolling hills and nice water with no shitty animals in it apart the occasional stingrays.
Living in around Copenhagen (or Aarhus) you'd have that "city-life" feel as well, with just enough people to make it feel vibrant and alive, but without ever seeming claustophoic like huge cities such as New York.
Oh, and also beer is super cheap in Denmark (which is the direct opposite in Norway) and getting drunk here is tons of fun, as Danes tend to open up when drunk and bonding is very easy.

Sweden. Eh... Well if you like political correctness, gender fluidity and feminism you should definitely go. It saddens me to say this, because Sweden was a cool place before this trend got out of hand - and I say this as an "arch-enemy" of those motherfuckers on the other side of Oresund.

The girls are very beautiful in all Scandinavian countries so don't worry about it. They tend to be pretty slutty too, but they're lowkey about it. If you're attractive and show confidence you'd be able to lay 'em. Especially Swedish girls because they seem tired of the passive males in their country.

t. a Dane.
>>
>>1169248
This. You'll never fit in here. Everyone speaks English, which means no one is going to listen to your pitiful attempts at Danish, which is why you'll never become good at it, and thus never fit in.

No one cares that you're white btw. You could be heart of Africa black, and if your danish was good, people would accept you more than average english speaking joe white.

What's generally considered a joke in Europe are American bachelor degrees. We got those too now thanks to the Bologna Process, but bachelors are still considered "halfway degrees" with most employers expecting at least a master's. Don't think anyone would snub a MSc or Phd from an American university, though.

> Scandinavian languages are similar to English and they are among the easiest languages in the world to learn
I don't fucking know about that, I'm studying in Denmark I can't fucking get it, the grammar, the way they put sentences is way different from English, I had learned more Italian and French from fellow international students then this thing I hear day by day.

Norway has the best landscape by far.
Norway is also not part of the EU.
The highest standard of living in the world.
They speak great English
but it is very very expensive to live there.

Sweden has some beautiful scenery.
It is part of the EU
It is absolutely cucked.
It is absolutely overwhelmed with (((refugees))) right now, who are also raping everyone left and right and blowing up cars. Political correctness has gone way too far.
Stay away from Sweden.

Finland has a lot of quaint forests and lakes.
Completely unrelated language to English, so it'll be very hard to learn, though many of them speak good English.
Part of EU, but not nearly as cucked as Sweden.
It's a lot poorer too.
And Finns are very autistic.

Denmark has no mountains and rarely any forests, but the towns are pretty cool, especially Copenhagen.
But you don't want to live in Denmark. The taxes are insane. The 'happiest country in the world' is bullshit, it's only because Danes have the highest percentage of antidepressant usage. It's not real happiness, just robotic. And they aren't very friendly. Everyone there keeps to themselves. You will be very lonely.
At least they are based and doesn't want to be cucked like Sweden.

Literally none of these countries are a good idea whatsoever. It's complete fantasy. There are no jobs. It's expensive as fuck.

But if I had to choose for you, probably Finland.
