I visited Vietnam this year and learned that Vietnamese are willing to pay foreigners 40k or more to get married.
Questions:
-What are your opinions/experiences regarding this?
-Where does one actually meet these people?
Post more info. Where did you hear this?
$40k to a viet is an insane amount of money.

I don't know much, this is why I'm posting here. Maybe more frequent travelers know more.
Surely it's the other way around.

No. There are a lot of requirements. It isn't easy. It's a lot of work- but you get paid. All I know from google.

This has been done by people of other countries for a long time now. I believe it's less popular these days because there are easier routes such as education visas to get into developed countries.
Basically you have to marry that person, bring them back to your country, and live(or pretend to) with them for however long it takes for them to get citizenship. The process isn't that complicated but you will face a lot of bullshit questions about whether it's a legit relationship from the government. I know a couple people who have gone this route but this is 10+ years ago.
$40k is a lot of money though, I heard of $10-20k before. I doubt they would pay that much because as I mentioned above there's better cheaper options these days.

What were their nationalities?
I family member of my Wife was just given $30,000.00 U.S.D to marry a Vietnamese on a Student Visa. He is from Vietnam but received his citizenship a few years back.
They're really risky. A large % get caught and deported, and he would face prison time + a fine.
I could understand if he needed the money but my Wife's family literally just bought a 3rd Bentley. Nuevo Rich Vietnamese are some really strange people.
