I wanna study in Taiwan specifically Taipei. I found out Taiwan has a whole bunch of different dialects. I don't know which dialect is the majority spoken. So which is it?
Also it would helpful if I knew some dedicated resources, all I can find is mostly Mandarin and Yue.

I don't speak Mandarin.
There, I run rings around you, logically.
This is information you can find in literally 15 seconds on google, but since you can't even manage that, I've spelled it out in terms even a mouthbreathing retard should be able to wrap his head around.
Official languages of the Chinese-speaking world:
Cantonese - Hong Kong, Macao
Mandarin - EVERYWHERE ELSE
No one in Taiwan speaks Cantonese. Virtually everyone is fluent in Mandarin and many people especially in the north speak it exclusively. You do not need to learn any other variants of Chinese. If you're really intent on making a few old ladies cream their jeans, by all means learn a phrase or two in Min Nan as well.

Yeah, there a lot of different dialects though which can fuck you up if you expect them to all say things the same.
I found just learning characters pretty useful, since English writing isn't too common outside the cities, means you can get the basic meaning of shit in Japan too.
