I haven't even played the game due to me not being a filthy console peasent, but I'm deeply fascinated by Vicar Amelia. She looks like a decent/good Soulsborne boss from a mechanical perspective, but design-wise, there's something about her inhuman-yet-vaguely-human screams and human-yet-distorted limbs really "gets" to me.
She's monstrous, but at the same time seems... pure, I guess? Hideous, yet with a strange kind of beauty. I felt the same way about the crow demons in Dark Souls 1 & 2, but outside of the souls series I can't think of a single design that "gets" me in the same way. Xenomorphs are probably the closest, but they're not quite there.

The reason live action werewolves are so human-like is simply because they have human actors and a low budget.

Accuracy is often one of the first things that are sacrificed when you make a movie, and being accurate to mythology is of especially low priority for a werewolf flick.

When someone transforms into a werewolf, they always leave a Tell. Something that you can use to identify the individual and discern that the werewolf is not a regular wolf.

Lack of tail is a common one, but not universal. In many stories werewolves retain their human teeth as well (and a detail like a gold tooth is often used to identify the perpetrator, or a bitemark from a werewolf can be matched to a human), but depending on where you look it could be anything. A werewolf with a blond mane if the human is blonde, I've heard of wolves with human tongues, wolves with human eyes (especially if the human form has heterochromia. I don't get what all these people are saying about female werewolves don't have feminine features when if you look it up the majority of them do even when they don't have breasts or just a complete wolf transformation like most live action series seem to do now a days.
Basically what I've confirmed is that what >>10073783 and >>10087485 say about female werewolves in media is completely false although what >>10078144 says is more true then not. If a werewolf looks masculine that it's a safe bet to say that it's definitely male.

Which ones because there are many different portrayals of werewolves in live action be it the wolfman variant or the ones that transform into actual wolves. Every roleplaying game to date has werewolves able to take on a complete human form, complete wolf form, or a combination of the two so the later isn't that far off. Even if you say that roleplay games are also an inaccurate portrayal of werewolves we go back to the farthest werewolf depictions in history and you will see they are still shown as looking a lot like ordinary wolves so you are wrong either way about what werewolves are actually like except in your own headcanon.

I remember I had a dream where I was just at some random place at night time and I just spontaneously grew muscle and fur, and before I realized it I felt my body wasn't human anymore.
