90 Golden Hour: Paulo hangs out on the beach with Rachel and her friends. Enter Madison, Jess' lesbian lucy replacement. Rach and Daisy have a talk on the phone about future studying plans. On the phone with Daisy, Paulo insults Abbey, and gets a verbal smackdown for bullying him. Daisy starts suspecting that Paulo is cross with her, they have a conversation at the lunch table, where truths are uncovered, and Abbey dumps Daisy. Lucy reunites with Augustus and brings him to meet her parents. Flashback to Lucy's suicide, where Augustus saves her life. Lucy's family is charmed, Augustus is her brother now.

96 Unspoken Rule: Now that Lucy is back, Rachel has to back off from Paulo. Paulo and Daisy reconciliate. Lucy spends her day avoiding Mike, who stalks her in an attempt to have closure so that he no longer feels guilty. Since he fails to remember anything he thinks he did wrong to Lucy, she judges that they have nothing to talk about. Paulo asks Lucy out to a carnival.

97 After You: Lucy and Paulo have a carnical date and recap everything that happened while Lucy was missing.

Id honestly prefer if he was flat out shown to have not cared for Rachel's feelings when Lucy was on the line if that was the case. His behaviour would suggest this was the case, but we are aware that Taeshi is too emotionally attached to Paulo to make him do that.

If you take away the shipping-romance aspects of BCB, what are you left with? Mundane slice of life that's barely funny....or well - anything?? The comic has extremely little substance and can't seemingly build relationships that are beyond romantic in nature that are worthwhile.

Also the comic was 'OK' and had some moments in it, but honestly the plot is just circular with ships constantly being reinstated - it feels like it goes NOWHERE. Also the creators are toxic and narcissistic as fuck, regularly shitting on fans. TL;DR Clusterfuck of drama that ultimately enjoys any slight redeeming qualities this comic may have had.

Augustus still is a pretty cool guy, even if he's severely under utilized and is a throw away character story-wise.Just a block in the romantic-interest mess, same with Abbey.

They talk about "the table" sometimes but we hardly ever see them all just hanging out together.

Even what seemed to be scenes of friendship between Paulo and Daisy have turned out to have been intended as foreshadowing for the clumsy railroad romance it's pushing now.

Tumblr is the worst of MySpace's customizing with none of the good bits.
Any kind of "server side" improvement always come at a cost of fucking something else up.

Hi. Board moderator here again. I should probably explain my actions in more detail.

After the taeshi images were posted, I encountered an ultimatum. I was free to choose what I wanted.

Apparently being part of the porn discord meant I could no longer be trusted, causing tension in the "normal" circles I hang out in. This meant I could either be part of the regular BCB community (candybooru/IRC/streams/etc.) or I could be part of the porn community.

I probably could have negotiated a better deal or chosen a less abrupt way to take things down but I was too tired. In the end I chose to leave the porn community and have the server redirect somewhere else. The data is still on the server, it's just not accessible; I don't believe in wiping content completely.

Believe me, I really want to be part of both communities. I've put some work into this server thing and actually paid a whopping THREE DOLLARS for the domain name for the image board. Sadly, as much as I want to, being part of both is not feasible.

As for the quest: nothing much has happened in it. The results were: Sue goes to see a movie, wearing a summer dress, in the cinema she sees David and Paulo in front of Amaya. I'm pretty sure the artist is planning on continuing the thing some place else right now.

I just read this whole thing.
Despite the confusing love heptagons and general vagueness, this was a pretty good comic. Too bad the only character I liked was Lucy and they ruined her. I don't mean TwoKinds Keith level of ruining, which just made him into a sappy mess. I mean they ruined her as a person, they ruined her dynamic, they ruined her dialogue, and they literally made her fuck off for 30 fucking chapters.

And it's all (indirectly) Sandy's fault.

Even if that suicide scene was weak as hell, that hit a spot for me, and hit it hard. I don't like Gus, he was a woman trainer piece of goth trash who tried to convince Daisy to be a slut. But now he's a misunderstood good guy? Because he did what any normal person would do in that situation?

Kissing a boy you like isn't being a slut. Mike was offended she even tried when he had a girlfriend but I can argue it's not even wrong in that case since he's free to reject her (which he did).

Augusts convinced to try her damnedest to get what she wanted instead of passively moping and when she failed he told her to hold on to the confidence and drive that it took to try. Because she's a spast (and Augustus stupidly decided to gloat about being right) she decided he was raping her. It was actually a conventional romance scene where the loser in a love triangle gets a new love interest but it twists at that point.

After Abbey "rescued" Daisy she regressed back into a selfish brat instead of growing (or maybe her characterization only changed into "selfish brat" later on? It's hard to keep track the changes in this sloppy comic). I'm not sure if this whole thing is intentional but it's a neat piece of dramatic irony anyway.

This is a much more serious problem. There cannot possibly be any dramatic tension here; it was already shown that Lucy eventually recovers from her suicide attempt and that she's deeply grateful to Augustus. In that context it's not possible that he turned her over to Alejandro, so teasing it to a page or two makes no sense. It's astoundingly sloppy.

This is aside from the fact that as soon as Augustus' second spate of appearances start he stopped being an anime villain and just turned into a sad cute boy instead. He's not credible as a potential threat.

My experience was endless fawning over pokemon, the posting of stupid memes, and then Suitcase coming in to fire up an Apple circlejerk now and then. Oh, and there was this one time one of the odd pre-Kickstarter threads made Taeshi show up all mopey and hostile in what was obviously a passive-aggressive pity party, while people tried to comfort her (utterly without success, of course). It all sounds very mild in text, but there's this strange quality that makes every waking moment spent there an insufferable hell. You can just leave the irc scrolling in the background and always know that even bothering to glance its way is a total waste of time. I knew there was something about what they did with Gus that bothered me, and this is probably it. His redemption doesn't seem particularly convincing, even though Lucy clearly bought into it (thus obliging the reader to do the same). Most of his good guy bits were added retroactively, right along with his sympathetic backstory. He didn't cause her to fail; she never really had a chance. But she couldn't know that for sure unless she tried. Once she's tried and failed it's time to let it go.
