I mean maybe. There's a lot of shades involved rather than clean labels. It's clear that when he's "Martina" (if he's Martina) he's not presenting as Marty though, even if maybe just to Remmy. This could be because he fears persecution and mockery if he identified as Marty will cross-dressed or it could be he wants to fully adopt the Martina identity. Hard to say, especially with Remmy's extremely limited vantage point.

It's sort of a pity we didn't get to see any interaction with Marty in Transformation, Charlie's probably got as close to the full scoop as anyone. If there's more Charlie in the future (or maybe more one-shots in general) I hope we can get a second take on Marty/Martina.

I'll also add that I think if Remmy knew (or put 2 and 2 together) he'd be supportive, he'd probably just also be insensitive and fumbling so he'd end up sticking his foot in his mouth like usual. Maybe he'd be weirdly insulted Marty felt the need to hide it from him or in his usual self-absorbed manner assume the deception was all about him and fooling him rather than something Marty felt he had to do in general.

Realtalk? Sometimes the way Remmy thinks about race and the people around him, I imagine if his neighbours knew his true feelings they'd run him out of town on a rail.

Seriously, I get that people often have ulterior motives, or private judgements, or other shit they hold onto, but Remmy is full on thinking shit like "I may hate all these filthy preds but I gotta pretend to like 'em so a few will be on my side once the LA Riots start". Just constantly reassuring himself that everyone else are the Real Racists and weighing everything up in this zero-sum, covering his ass way.

Sure, maybe some of it is him rationalizing it to himself - things like intervening in the Betty-Al fight or checking out Marty's busted door, maybe he really does just want to help but has to talk himself into it with a cynical argument. That does make his actual good motivations pretty few and far between though, and sandwiched between long digressions where he weighs up which of his neighbours he could take in a fight or how best to shift the blame to someone else if something goes wrong.

Charlie's internal monologue was way nice since she saved most of her ugly thoughts for herself.
