Shrugging, Scootaloo replied, "Dunno, but if anypony, err, anyone here knows cute stuff, it's her."

Sweetie Belle wasn't gone for long, and she wasn't alone. A rectangular package floated in front of her, held by magic the only occasionally let it slip a moment. To her credit, she only walked into a tree once as she neared the clubhouse.

Dropping it onto the wooden floor with a plasticky thump, Sweetie smiled serenely and said, "If this doesn't make you look and feel cute, nothing will!"

As Scootaloo silently mouthed the words on the side of the package to herself, Applebloom ripped it open. "Wait a sec, Sweetie, these are-"

Actually no, the urine is coming out of the wrong place in the sketch, too, heh. Should come out from more towards the back. I guess if the diaper is very slow at absorbing and she peed all at once maybe, but not quite a satisfactory explanation. Should still be more wetting up to the tail.

Or maybe it's loose on the back so the pee just ran down her body? Or the stream was low pressure and dropped? I dunno.

In any case it's fantastic and I love to see stuff from Edrian and this is really, really hot, but it's just one detail it's easy to improve on so here's a reference for where the pee comes out.

It'd be kinda fun to see how absorption and transpiration happens in a diaper really clearly by seeing how much padding above the tail gets wet. Diapers transpire urine a lot.

Color looks fine to me, a bit too saturated maybe, but still leagues better than the vast majority of diaper art. I rate it a solid 8/10.
As we've discussed in these threads, wet diapers are hard to get the right color on ponies, as you have to balance between realism and cartoon style and find a compromise that works.

And yeah, if you piss a lot in a somewhat loose diaper it will run down your body like that. Realistically it'd leak if you piss that much though, and it wouldn't run so high up her front.
Obviously, the explanation is that Twilight pushed the puddle around a bit before it got absorbed.

Lifeless, unnatural expressions that fit neither character nor scenario, probably """borrowed""" directly from a single frame of a fluid, organic expression in the show. Protip: Expressions don't work that way.

Severely clashing styles, with the characters and background existing in one style making a poor attempt at mimicking the show, an unnatural blush that drastically clashes in another style, talcum powder and perfume clouds to hide the low amount of effort put in in yet another style, onomatopoeia and a copy-pasted "surprise" visual on Applejack, Trixie and Suri in another style, and the robotic arms existing in a strange 3d gradient style with fuckawful lighting.

Even the fucking conveyor-belt itself is in three styles, the belt in a fairly simplistic show-like style, while the thing with lightbulbs on is some weird gradient Lovecraftian monstrosity that doesn't adhere to the human understanding of perspective, and the sign that's been bolted on it at an odd angle is in a third style.

The "robotic nursery" trope works in that it robs a character of all agency.
A character can beg, plead and even reason with a nanny or caretaker, but the robotic nursery trope just Will Not React, essentially, it takes away a character's ability to even communicate, which is of course incredibly frustrating, humiliating and infantilizing.
It's an extension of the more bondage-y aspects, and works on the same principles. An extension from where character has already lost the right to decide what to wear, when to eat and sleep, and of course how to use the bathroom.

I agree that it's rather uninspired though, a caretaker that refuses to listen is harder to write or draw so it's often something of a copout, and you'd think that when it comes to MLP people would at LEAST have the creativity to justify a magical nursery or spell gone wrong or something.
