Thank fuck I won't. He's definitely not winning a second term after the Russia debacle, whether it's true or not it still casts a shadow on his reputation to the moderates who swung to his side because Clinton is a fucking cunt, and the fact that once people realize that the new healthcare plan is a fucking sham that only helps the rich the republicans will lose their Senate majority next year.

I mean shit, I honestly don't know why people keep sucking his dick other than for the memes, because he hasn't don't jack shit other than sign some ineffective executive orders, submit one budget that's likely to be rejected, and play golf.

I have to say, for all the bad fame Trump supporters got in the media and social networks, I have seen them be more critical of their candidate than Hillary supporters by a far margin. It was impressive seeing her blatantly steal the candidacy from Sanders, and then there were the e-mail leaks, and I didn't see a single one of her supporters have second thoughts. They either rationalized it away or just went "the ends justify the means".

I heard about how he mocked that reporter but I never saw it until now...that was just embarrassing.
>>
>>9486969
I'd like to agree with that, but it doesn't say much.
The only people I've seen become self-critical of Trump were anti-war voters after his attack on that one airbase, and even then they got singled out and just intimidated back into not publicly voicing out their opinion in a pro-Trump area.

Then again, what do I know? I'm just a pissed off liberal hoping the Democrat can make a populist shift to the left by 2020. If we don't get someone as inspiring and left-minded as Sanders up by 2020, we are doomed to lose to the right again. Although, I am kind of glad that Trump won. The alt-right's momentum is kind of floundering, and I'm okay with that.
>>

>>
>>9487632
I'm a social democrat, so I just agree with a lot of his viewpoints, but here's a few that made me wish for someone like him the most.

His work with veterans in the past has been great, and coming from a family with several loved ones in the army, I respect that.
He wants reform of the prison system and police, I'm totally okay with that, especially if it means doing away with private prisons.
He's pro net-neutrality.
He's good when it comes to civil rights, which I find important.
I don't understand why we shouldn't have universal healthcare, and I'd gladly pay more when it comes to taxes to support it.
His stance on drug policy makes a lot more sense than the people currently in office.
His stance on Israel/Palestine was a breath of fresh air, I'm tired of the US suckling at Israel's nuts.
And I think his plans for the economy honestly make sense, considering they've been put to success in the past both in the nation (when it comes to taxing the wealthy) and abroad (when it comes to supplementing the lower classes.)

He's better than Hillary in nearly every way, and Trump's politics are opposed to my own personal politics. So I'm on the side that Bernie would have been the best choice.

I agree with you entirely. All I can hope for though is that they don't go way too fucking far and end up pandering to tumblr.

Like I'm cool with however people choose to live their life as long as it doesn't harm others, I don't care about the circumstances of your birth as long as you aren't a dick, but Tumblr just takes it too far.

Like as much as they hate each other, /pol/ And Tumblr are very similar, they just hate different groups irrationally. Broadly generalizing because of the actions of the few.

I just want people to try and stop being massive dicks to each other, and I don't believe being a dick to people that are being dicks is a very effective method of stopping the dickitry. It just creates a cycle.

Like the alt right likes to spout shit about how whites are becoming a minority in America, but why try to suppress it? You can't stop the inevitable if it really is true. The best idea is to be nice to them and keep them happy so that if they do eventually overtake whites, they won't want to immediately be dicks in retribution for trying to suppress them. And in the case that they don't overtake whites, just don't be dicks on principle because sure they're still a minority, but you just pissed off a bunch of rational people that could have helped you get shit done that benefits everyone.

But that's just me being idealistic, I know that shit won't happen. The politicians will only want to care about themselves, getting more money to throw on the pile from the corporate fucks that will pay them off and damning the constituency because nobody investigates their congresspeople. That's part of the reason I liked Sanders, he seemed more genuine since most of his donations were from smaller organizations. But no, corporatocracy reined and Clinton got the nomination, and Trump is basically just cutting out the middleman of the regular politician, instead just putting an incompetent CEO in the position.

not gonna make excuses for Hillary's pathetic campaign, and I greatly preferred Sanders to her but she didn't steal anything. Political parties exist to support the favored candidate of like minded individuals. Party leadership wanted Clinton and that's what they got.

>and then there were the e-mail leaks
I thought the whole email thing was ridiculously overblown, especially since Trump's administration started using a private email server within a month of taking office. After all that time chanting LOCK HER UP, you'd think they wouldn't then turn around and do the exact same thing...

I mean hell, there's a reason they haven't tried to actually lock her up, she didn't actually do anything.

Immigration is a serious issues that fucks almost everyone but large companies who benefit from cheap labor while our people live on the streets.
>He makes it a meme

>>
>>9488766
I have to admit that immigration is one issue where I disagree with the Democrats a lot, it always frustrates me to see people paint illegal immigration as a human rights issue. As if its a human right to be exploited to pick cabbage for $3 an hour.

The fact remains though that many of the people coming here from central america are doing so to escape gang violence, and what exactly do they have to return to? I'm really glad I don't have to be in their position to make that decision between staying home and getting fucked by criminals, or fleeing and becoming a criminal.

Really though, the best way to combat illegal immigration imo is to crack down on the companies that hire illegals, and I've seen no desire from Trump to do that. Additionally I think building a border wall would be a massive misuse of funds for something that wouldn't really be that effective. You can tunnel under a wall, you can get in a boat and go around it. Besides, the number 1 source of illegal immigrants (by a huge margin) is people coming to america legally then just not leaving when their visas expire, and continuing to work under the table. The wall would do nothing to stop that.

The thing that blows my mind is that Hillary should have been able to totally kick his ass. Even after the fiasco of Comey finding more emails on Anthony Weiner's computer, she should have been able to beat Trump.

I mean, Trump by all accounts disqualified himself numerous times throughout the general election campaign. He was Donald Trump in full, and it should have been a cakewalk to beat him.

Instead Hillary Clinton fucked up in a way that's even worse than George McGovern and Michael Dukakis. She has a giant "FUCKUP" stamp stamped onto her head for all eternity. She took an easy thing and she bungled it. It's incredible.

Third party voter here. You fucks really are arrogant, and if I had to just go by the supporters of candidates to base a decision on I'd probably have voted for Trump. That isn't saying much though because >>9495835 is absolutely right.

As far as taking action you had better pray that the population of American conservatives never decide to "take action" like that. It's not going to be a bunch of jackasses breaking windows, it's going to be a fucking war. I haven't seen any bleeding heart liberals at the range, I don't see you at SHOT Show, I don't see you at Big Sandy, and I sure as shit don't see you at matches or taking training classes. What I do see, without fail, is blubbering about how the "rightwing" are armed to the teeth and that frightens you.

Trump is NOT going to leave this country in better shape than he found it, so expect tensions to keep rising until something boils over.

I'm waiting for the day when antifa does something extra stupid, like tosses a brick through a car window and kills somebody. You think a few suburban shitheads getting their ankles crushed is bad? How about a grief-stricken father showing up to rack up one hell of a body count? Then when he's satisfied with the hit and run game he hops out and starts gunning motherfuckers down.

"Leftwingers" rioting and assaulting unarmed people with bike locks show that the regressive left is fucking oblivious. Completely fucking oblivious. The reason why they're taking that action is because their counterparts are less inclined to act like belligerent pieces of shit, but make no mistake, they have a large portion of the firepower.

Keep it up. I want you to think really, really hard about this. When people start getting shot for political street violence do you honestly think it's going to stop there?

So really, cut the shit. My advice: if you know anyone who likes to dress up in black and mace homeless people then I suggest you cut them out of your life ASAP.

Hahaha no, not by a long shot.

People care about privacy, being able to pay for healthcare, and not having their tax dollars pissed away on stupid foreign bullshit. Do you not remember the election? I do. I'm sure the fucking Democrats do too, to some extent, but I remember the song and dance Trump put on to catch your vote.

He's also done fuck all to "drain the swamp" and he sure as shit hasn't done anything to put the Clintons on trial. They're "good people" though, according to him. Remember that next year when you vote in the midterms, (you are doing that, aren't you?) and keep a tally of promises he's delivered on.

Here's what I want to see happen:

>National reciprocity of carry permits
>Corporations who bleed the country dry stop getting a free pass
>Scale back the rampant militarism and accept we can't fix third world problems
>Go after visa abusers, including Trump
>Kick over the healthcare industry completely, lower the costs so we don't need Obama/Trump/whatevercare, plans that toss money at social vampires like insurance companies
>Term limits, big time
>Gutting of the intelligence gathering apparatus, especially surveillance of American citizens

I don't give a flying fuck about minorities. I don't give a fuck about how Trump "speaks his mind." Every dumb son of a bitch out there speaks his mind, minorities included, it doesn't mean what they have to say is any good. This election was fucking bullshit. Trump and the Republicans have every motherfucking thing they need to deliver on decades of promises, and so far I've seen jack shit besides rampant hypocrisy.

Get back to me when our 2nd Amendment rights get reclaimed in full and the red tape in the common guy's life gets removed, until then you're just a shill for a shitty president who licks Israel's ass and bows to Saudi goatfuckers.

lmao I knew that was coming!

What made me laugh when that whole thing came about was how piddly it was, and yet, his ardent supporters were prancing around like it was some incredible victory. It wasn't. Those jobs he "brought back" (they never left) aren't going to fix the underlying issue our society is and will continue to face: the devaluation of human labor.

Those jobs that are overseas are not going to come back. A factory that employs a thousand brown-skinned or slant-eyed workers isn't going to suddenly employ an equal amount of Americans, it's going to have a mostly robotic workforce because that is the next cheapest thing.

Nobody wants to employ Americans because Americans think their time and effort is worth a certain amount of money. You can't tell a blue collar worker in, oh, Ohio or something that you're going to pay him a buck an hour and expect it to fly.

You have to know it is more complicated than a high school intro to business sound bite.

I know this is /trash/ but I see so much of this shit where people are handing down this sort of "logic" to all the poor retards who just can't understand this plain as day all encompassing wisdom.

>flying machines can't be real they weigh more than air

>You have to know it is more complicated than a high school intro to business sound bite.
No, it really isn't. If you think the choice between cheap versus expensive is more complicated than that then you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

>I know this is /trash/ but I see so much of this shit where people are handing down this sort of "logic" to all the poor retards who just can't understand this plain as day all encompassing wisdom.

Pick one of these two:

>$0.15 dollars per hour of work per employee
>a few grand a year, total, for the labor laws to get ignored

Versus...

>$15.50 per hour of work per employee
>minimum OSHA compliance with inspections
>federal and state labor laws are enforced
>workers can and will unionize if you push them too hard
>unions will demand your wages will go up
>mandatory break periods, as per federal and state law
>mandatory first-aid and eyewash stations if dealing with anything that chips, dusts, splatters, fumes, or drips
>overtime pay laws are _strictly_ enforced
>provisions for smokers and disabled workers
>lengthy tax and payroll procedures, the IRS will not hesitate to rape you
>IMMEDIATE media backlash if you treat your employees wrong

Don't like those options? Let's add robots:

>depending on industry, the workforce can be almost entirely automated
>high up-front per unit cost
>have to pay industrial engineer or keep one on retainer
>robots require more electrical power to run
>however the cost can come out of the savings on the light and heating bill

Pick one of these three. You need to face the fucking fact that Americans are expensive, the blue collar American dream has pretty much evaporated and you and I will never, ever see it again. This won't get any better, robots were convoluted and stupid in the 70's, somewhat clunky in the 80's, required bare-minimum supervision in the 90's, and now certain industries have self-correcting, all-robot lines to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

It's a smoke and mirror marketing ploy that we saw in spades especially with Clinton and her doners not to mention the entire world rallying around her and the establishment.

Trump isn't a saint, but the sooner we can purge the liberal elite and neocons from the house and senate the better off everyone will be.

So he's got a few saches guys, none of which I'm big on, but compared to the corporate armada backing the other candidate I'll have to compromise. The proposed tax cut is based on the premise that, if the tax code is easier to follow and fill in your tax sheet, more people will actually pay their due that what's happening now.
There are hundreds of billions of dollars missing from the budget each year, according to Mulvaney, due to tax evasion. It might just be that this tax cut will at least cover that hole, which is a damn good thing.

As for increasing spending, other areas are being cut and restructured. The government has been filled with fat for a long time, and it's long overdue for a trim.
>>
>>9572430
>my economic interests include: not subsidizing your health care
but you already pay for it, what do you think happens when people go to the emergency room then get a $40,000 bill for surgery they can't pay and simply don't?

Do you think the bill fairy just comes down from heaven and takes care of it? No the hospital gets its money back by charging more for everything else to cover its losses, so your healthcare premiums rise.

>not having employers pay for insurance for 26 year old children
what fucking employers are paying for their employees health insurance. You know nothing about this, health plans always have higher premiums for dependents.
>>
Thank god for Obamacare. Before I could just not have insurance and go about my way. Now I get penalized for it; so it would be stupid not to take it. Now I only have to spend about $50,000 in deductibles for any portion of it to start kicking in so by the time it's all said and done it's both cheaper and more useful to just not have it! But wait, my premiums would have been set to more than tripple! What a great plan!

Obamacare/ ACA was shit and I'm glad it's set to be replaced.

Ideally insurance companies who bloat medical costs the most would be long gone and the pharmaceutical market bitchslapped for upcharging hand over fist for $0.00002 pills, but it's a decent start I guess.
>>
>>9507025
I don't see the problem in that article: if you have 2 trillion dollaridoos, why can't you use them for multiple purposes? The article doesn't mention the value of the loss in federal tax money if the plan is implemented: if it's less than 2 trillion, Mulvaney is actually right.

Clinton says the second debate with Trump, during which he loomed menacingly behind her, was one of the hardest situations of the whole campaign. “Because what he was doing was so … uh …” — she pauses to search for words — “so personally invasive: following me, eyeing me.”
She considered confronting him, turning around and saying, “Get away from me!” But she figured that would just give him what he wanted. “I saw him destroy all of his Republican opposition who eventually tried to confront him on a debate stage, and he reacted with such contempt. He will gain points, and I will lose points.” Acknowledging how tight her grip on the microphone was during that debate, Clinton says, “Think of all the times where you are either mentally or physically gripping yourself, [willing yourself] not to respond, not to lash out, not to display the anger that you feel, because you know it will redound to your detriment. So you swallow it. You try to be honest with yourself, to know you’re feeling it but then say, ‘Okay, I’ve got a goal here and I’m not going to get knocked off-balance.’ ” Clinton maintained control. “So I ended up with another ‘win,’ ” she says. “But I also ended up with him really satisfying a lot of his potential voters. One of these guys, I can’t remember who” — it was Nigel Farage — “said, said, ‘Oh, he was the alpha male! He was the big gorilla in the …’ — whatever they call gorilla groups! I think that for people already committed to him, they loved it.”
But was she right that she couldn’t have expressed her anger in that debate? There are plenty of people who yearned for Clinton to get mad; during the campaign, an imagined litany of Clinton’s fury titled “Let Me Remind You Fuckers Who I Am” went viral. “Oh, I am [pissed],” she says. But as a woman in public life, “you can’t be angry for yourself. You just can’t."

>You think I don't know whether my own insurance has gotten both more expensive and shittier?

Absolutely. People who believe America will improve with 23 million uninsured people are that stupid.

And those cargo ships are a result of Americans wanting cheap things, which they need because they refuse to vote for higher wages and cheaper healthcare.

>the real answer is that my standard of living is too high

>Tax cuts will bring in extra tax income because big business will want to pay them
That's not how it works. Corporations and the rich take every tax break and loophole they can have, regardless of the tax break. The idea that they will choose to give more money to the government following tax breaks is downright insane. You can not believe this in good faith.

>The government spends too much.

Yeah, there's always the elusive excessive spending to cut according to you guys. You don't know how or why the money is wasted, but you're 100% sure that it's being wasted and that your valiant republican politicians will find it and cut just that and only that, even though it never happens. It's just a baseless rethoric you convince yourself of to make yourself feel better about the government undercutting resources to schools, healthcare, welfare and vital business regulations.

>>9572512
>He should have fucking spent less
He was trying to fix the critical underfunding of schools and healthcare, problems which of course you think don't exist because they don't affect you personally.

>The idea that democrats are anti-big business is laughable
...Who said they were anti-big business? That wasn't part of my point at all. I'm not anti-big business, I'm pro tax-and-spend. There's no need to be a social divide there.

>Liberal elite, blah blah blah
Okay that's my cue to flip you off. You don't care about actual politics, just about whether politicians convince you that they're relatable. You're a tool.

No. People on the left normally see waste too, but I suppose bipartisan issues are too much for simpler folks.

>You don't know how or why the money is wasted

I don't have a line item for every fucking dime, but if you think the united states somehow pays more for everything, than every other country, but isn't wasting money, you are a retarded person. Why and how are simple, creeping bureaucracy that doesn't have to explain its-self.

>100% sure that it's being wasted and that your valiant republican will find it

Republicans love pork as much the next guy. It's a bipartisan problem. It happens to have been way fucking worse over Obama, but both sides love spending.

>the government undercutting resources to schools, healthcare, welfare and vital business regulations.

The united states is 5th in the world per student on education spending, yet the average college entrant reads at a 7th grade level. Thats the motherfuckers who go to college. And 5th in the world on education spending, yet teachers are buying supplies out of pocket, parents have to buy the kleenex for the classrooms.

Gee no possible way that more is being wasted in the education system.

Healthcare, again the united states government is spending more than almost every other country And private citizens have to personally pay more than in every other country. You think their isn't waste in the system? The whole fucking thing is a nightmare that needs scraped. Even after paying than everybody else in the world our results aren't any better.

How about the military? You don't think you have waste there? We spend more than the next 5 countries combined and thats not counting things like VA spending which is hidden elsewhere in the budget.

You really don't think we could spend less and get better results, if the people in charge of the purse strings gave a fuck about wastefulness? Or if they weren't taking bribes

There was no danger of him uncovering anything compromising for Trump if there was nothing compromising to find in the first place.

I get that there's such a thing as being too careful with regular citizens, but when you're the leader of the free world, you owe it to your citizens to be scrutinized.

The investigation could have ended in two ways: It would have gotten closed and more people would have rallied with Trump, or it would have uncovered some dark shit and people would have rallied, rightfully so, against Trump. In either case, the truth would have won. Now, it's obscurantism that won. And you're standing by it, you morally corrupt, intellectually dependent tool.

Implying the presidential role is anything more than a sham production for the public/etiquette benefit and Trump isn't in bed with the rest of the elite who do not actually care about anyone's personal problems. Implying the president even has the ability to fulfill elaborate promises. But if people wanna vote to validate their own beliefs while hoping for some gradual changes as consensus comes that's cool.

Like any stats it depends on who is looking at it, is your article including the worlds 6000 container ships and 85,000 commercial cargo ships?

http://www.enfos.com/blog/2015/06/23/behemoths-of-emission-how-a-container-ship-can-out-pollute-50-million-cars/

Your article also only counts CO2 which is certainly not the only pollution.

I think you have to realize that what industries can get away with in China is an entirely different league than what they can get away with in first world countries. And what makes you think Vegas is especially polluting? Lots of lighting I guess, but it's not like they have a warehouse district.
