Do you not have namesync?
>>9310833
Still have a messed up sleep schedule? Shouldn't you be asleep right now?
>>9310877
Yeah, I do
My sleep schedule is all over the place because I stay up longer than I should, I'll probably won't be sleeping anytime soon though
>>9310848
>>9310894
You should try not using electronic devices for 2 hours before bed time, those usually are to blame for keeping you awake.
>>9310995
But I have nothing to do outside of my electronics for those 2 hours

>>9311034
You could read a book. Do a bit of work out before bed. Take a walk, those are always nice. Meditate. Do a hobby you've been neglecting. Play with your pets
There's tons of stuff to do without the need for electronics
>>9311058
I never liked names on an anonymous board, but since everyone shilled for namesync, i downloaded it.
>>9311097
It's just kinda counter intuitive, you know. These threads were so great before i knew you people were name fagging, it was just a place to show up a bit, talk with strangers, save some cute ponies and argue politics. There's always Steam, Discord, Skype and similar programs to keep in touch and talk with specific people
>>9311097
>>9311107
>>9311121
._.
>>9311144
I suppose so
I've been too overly reliant on them for too long honestly
>>9311164
>>9311209
It's easy entertainment, so you get addicted easily.
Do you suffer from actual insomnia as well?
>>9311144
if you see the same specific people in a thread day in day out for six years it's just a given that they start being familiar to you by name.
i was an anon at first, then i took a name, then i gave it up for months and months, but everyone still knew who i was.
arguing with a name on is much more difficult because people can't use the traditional "that's not me, that's a different anon you're responding to" when they start to lose the argument.
>>9311241
I guess moving from 8c h a n (why is that word filtered?) where names are a default made you guys accustomed to names.
>>9311209
>>9311290
no, this has gone on since we were on 4chan /b/. names have always been a big part of these threads. when anon was forced on /b/ here, our people went to work and created the namesync solution.
and 8ch is filtered because it's a spam site, and people from there are desperate to get any trickle of activity.
nait
5 minutes for the Canadian leak of pony.
>>9311358
Aren't these threads from the 8 ch spinoff group?
I used to be more active in the old 4chan /b/ threads, but i never knew you guys had names back then.
Although, your name does ring a bell. You're the guy with the steam group? I didn't use that place much, but i remember a moderator being named S -something
>>9311410
Here's the stream for anyone interested.
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/otakubrawling
>>9311427
these threads started out on 4chan /b/ in 2011. i joined on febuary 25th 2011. the mods attacked almost immediately after. when /mlp/ was created, the group split. some went to /mlp/ and were subsequently banned. others like myself stayed behind on /b/ to fight the good fight, and were also banned.
and you might have me confused with someone else, i don't use steam much except during thread emergencies.
>>9311107
good to hear
>>9311144
Sorry, didn't mean it in a negative way, guess I'm just used to the names by now

new episode airing in a few minutes. worth watching even if you saw the leak because i hear the leaf episodes are censored.

I'm not sure, I guess a major issue for me is that I can get too into something and end up staying up too long
>>9311506
How've you been?
>>9311331
>>9311504
I used these threads back in 2011 till like 2013 as well. Didn't post much, mostly just saved pictures because i like how they look. I don't even watch the show, i just find them pleasing to look at.
>i don't use steam much except during thread emergencies.
I did the same. It's entirely possible i did mistake you for someone else, but i distinctly remember there was a mod there with a similar sounding name to yours.
>>9311506
I'll be honest, it's much easier to tell people apart with these. I'd use one, but i'm bad at coming up with names. You did ask me about that the last time we spoke, but i don't think i got back to you on it.
>>9311584
Yes, it's called 'the internet'.
Common side effect.
>>9311625
i do have my share of imposters. probably someone's idea of a joke since they know how rarely i post outside of bread.
>>9311683
Maybe. I checked the steam page for the group, but it's all different people and i recognized almost none
>>9311625
Maybe you are thinking of Smock, the owner and creator of the group.
>>9311753
That's the one. Yep
>>9311717
i don't like steam because everyone changes their name on there to be cute and i never know who the hell anyone is.
>>9311753
that's gotta be it.
that's the guy, he runs the steam thing. or ran it, i don't even know if it's active now.
>>9311552
>worth watching even if you saw the leak because i hear the leaf episodes are censored.
Only cuss words, but there hasn't been any instances of censoring in any of the four episodes that have already aired.
>>9311584
Doin' good for now, just chillin
also nice Moon Dancer Sketches you found there!
>>9311625
Yea I ain't good with names either, mine.. It just came out as random lol
you've been with us in 8 c h as well right?
>>9311866
Occasionally. But very infrequently. I did lurk slightly more, but i mostly lost interest by that time.
I might need to figure out what name to use, but eh.
I see you like Lunas as well. I think one of these old folders is purely a Luna folder, let me see if i can dig it up
>>9311967
Oh I see!
hehe I'm sure you'll figure something out :P
Yep yep, I post different ponies from time to time, but Luna is my primary for now
Someone else who also used alot of Luna was Wezdor, you knew him right?
>>9312047
Yeah, i know Wez. You sent me an email few days ago when we talked, remember me?
Also, found the folder. It looks like screencaps only, tho
Lots of screencaps.
It's basically an episode in screenshots. Someone had too much time on their hands
>>9312098
Screencaps are also good
wait a second...that was you? hmm, did Wez share his Luna folder with you by any chance? or you used the "Direct download" option back in 8 c h when saving images?
>>9311427
>Aren't these threads from the 8 ch spinoff group?
I wouldn't call it a spinoff group.
The majority of the people who were still posting in 2014 all moved to 8ch and as a result, others who were unable to post before found they could post again due to hotwheels laidback moderation.
>>9311717
I managed that group for a good run, hardly anyone left or joined the group. The only thing that happened was some people stopped using steam since then.
I think your problem is probably not being active there at all so you never used the alias feature to keep track of people when they made namechanges so it just seems like unrecognizable people. I can recognize a good portion of them and how long they've been around.
>>9312280
i have a few different folders i downloaded from the PonAYY what'sapp group im in, i could check if Wez posted any of those, but i doubt it.
The biggest contains all the pics posted in the 8 ch cyclicals, someone had a bot download them all.
>or you used the "Direct download" option back in 8 c h when saving images?
What is that? Explain please.
>>9312332
Wait, this is the same people/thread from the original 2011 threads? Damn. That's like 6 years now.
And you're right, i never paid much mind to the names people used here. I knew a few only.
>this one is just legs
>go outside
>everyones sitting under the tree
>overhear them talking MAD SHIT about my lawn chair they're sitting on
>it's so uncomfortable :(
>it's literally the most comfortable lawn chair I have
who do some people find reclined chairs uncomfortable? they are the best what is wrong with you!
>>9312403
Give them the 3 leg tiny fishing chairs. Then they'll have something to complain about
>>9312382
if you were around in 2011-2012 mostly then most of the ppeople you would recognize are likely the ponychan users (actual spinoff) off this group. A lot of them stopped posting though.
Faggots like anonthony, tom the /fag/ bringer, aeris and too many others to point out but i guess those are the more notable ones.
>>9312426
I hate those things.. thank goodness I don't have any.
>>9312440
tom and aeris ring a bell. Tom was the frenchie, right? Posted Fluttershy?
>scroll to bottom of folder
>SPIDER.pngjpgavi
>>9312467
Yeah, he was one of those guys that was really into the idea of emulating the pony character he avatared so you'd frequently see him acting like an arbiter of the pony community along with Aeris. Fastforward 2012 he and his friend started this proxy mining thing cause mods were starting to ban people more frequently, I was a lurker and generally just a shitposter that occasionally posted vocaroos at the ponies and realized this guy was running that proxy thing, I noticed some people were hailing him as a savior because of his dedication to finding proxies for people, only problem was that he was issuing them around like some kind of crack dealer, only to people he really trusted so I made a program that automated it and people didn't need them for that anymnore and since then he had nothing but scathing reviews about my character and actions and then just abandoned the thread for mlpchan lmao
or, at least that's what people said was the reason why he was making claims that i singlehandedly did more damage than the all the mods combined or something
Is the randomware epidemic over?
Can I put my PC and router off panic mode and use the internet without a condom now?
>>9312556

>The biggest contains all the pics posted in the 8 ch cyclicals, someone had a bot download them all.
>someone had a bot download them all
welp..there goes my theory into the trash
>What is that? Explain please.
there used to be a feature there that saves the files as the original filename the poster posted, rather than the unix time stamp you'd normally save images
>>9312709
Were you a part of mlpg?
I'm guessing you were since you post those batponies
>Always update your windows, kids
d-don't patronize me... :(
I did have everything updated but i'm not willing to run any risks
>>9312748
>there used to be a feature there that saves the files as the original filename the poster posted, rather than the unix time stamp you'd normally save images
i remember when you thought it was broken and I told you you had to right click save as for it to work
>>9312748
I'm still not sure how your theory worked, but then again, i have no idea how these imageboards work in the background anyway.
And you'd have thought they'd let you download as original filename by default, instead of random numbers or letters.
>>9312765
I didn't save most of these pics myself. I have like 4 gigs of pics in folders i downloaded. I have them all listed, i scroll randomly down the list and click one i like and isn't explicit.
>>9312791
This doesn't sound right, right click save as does the weird number / letter name by default. At least it did for me, on Chrome.
>>9312820
i'm tlaking about on 8ch, i'm a webdeveloper so my thing is to know as many quirks and issues as possible and that was just one of the quirks i noticed there. i checked now and i see they actually fixed that now by appending the original filename to the download path and they didin't do that before so you had to save the image as the original filename because the site only instructed the browser what filename to use, but not prompt the download under that particular name etc
>>9312765
>tfw zero incidents in my country
feelsgoodman
>>9312791
Yea I remember that, but I also remember even with that back then it didn't work and it just saved the unix name, even on chrome, they fixed it now I guess, but back then one time it worked, one time it didn't
>>9312820
It was based off the filenames posted, you could search the archive and see who posted those files before, for instance now, with this pic you posted, the last person who posted it with this name was Scotchmalla back in 8 c h, but since you're saying some guy had a bot download all the images back then(assuming with their original names) then yeah, it doesn't help with indicating who is who anymore
>>9312885
Some of those words mean something to me!
>>9312900
Oh, these filenames link back to the post that first used them? I thought they were random
>>9312900
skitty needs some lebanese dick.
>>9312929
Here, you just gave me a golden example to demonstrate
>>9312929
a unix timestamp isn't random.
it's an integer that represents the current time since 1970
>>9312997
What am i looking at?
>>9311144
oh god no it even saved reece pictures
>>9313046
we have an archive of this thread from 2014-present time so all the pictures that have ever been posted here can be found there.
if you search a picture on it, you can typically tell who posted that picture
>>9313046
pretty much this >>9313095
also if you're wondering who's "⎞︵⎝‿⎠⎛⎝⎛⎛‐⎞" that was Wezdor
>>9313095
>>9313138
Cool. Didn't know you could search these imageboards like this.
It makes sense it finds a bunch of Wezdor posts for that one, since this is from his 'reactions' folder he gave me.
>>9313152
are you that person that was saying you mostly just used steam to talk to people from here?
kinda like wezdor
he never really posted in these threads until he decided to venture into the threads on 8ch and i had been around them for years on steam but he usually ignored me cause he said he thought i was bitter and autistic or something
>>9313234
No, i used steam to talk to specific people from the thread. But i never used either thread or Steam group as a means for conversation. I guess i didn't find the appeal back then.
>>9313288
>talking smack behind ppls back
>sharing secrit messages
all the appeal is there how could you not find this appealing
>>9313364
Because i don't need a sekrit sekrit club where i can talk smack about people from my sekrit club
>>9313417
i do
i'm t-talking smack about you there right now...
im kidding i hardly even get on
>>9313433
Don't make me come in there
>>9313454
lol
no one uses the steam group anymore
they use some discord server
there was a link to that discord server in the steam group page, but the discord group admins deleted it because some faggots in the group started saying i was linking it to people so they could raid them when they noticed my link was used to most to get into the group but what the conspiracytards there didn't realize was i was group admin of the steam thing and used my admin magic to link that discord server from the group so ofc it was going to be used more than others but instead they chose to believe i was just fucking with them for whatever reason.

I'd take it for the meme.
I know you wouldn't because people with actual autism naturally want to hide their autism until it ferments inside and develops into a full-blown mental illness.
He knows from experience.

Are you weeb enough to drop $95 on some jap whisky?
>>9318382
No but I would get it anyways. The Japanese love their whiskey and nowadays they make some of the finest around. Could you take some pictures of the mirror selection? I need one and the walmart is too far to warrant a trip without being sure.
>>9318524
Sorry already left

Voulez vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?
installing ubuntu alonside wangblows is turning out to be a lot harderthan i expected.. i have to re-install fucking WINDOWS now, and THEN try installing ubuntu again because windows was installed using a biose boot loader and I need it to be UEFI or some shit
I have Anonymous filtered so I never have to read their worthless posts.
>>9319516
Ubuntu can do BIOS shit too, you know...
>>9319529
And thus your are blocking mobile posters who cannot use namesync.
>>9319529
so you filtered you self?
>>9319560
I never did figure out what namesyncc is. Too drunk to bother with anything now but next time I am sober and posting here would love o know what you all are on about namesync wise.
>>9319560
didn't work for me, tried lots of different crap. and anyways I want to move onto the LTS be branch windows 10 enterprise so I chose to do a reinstall and use EFI mode
>>9317727
these are great cuz it lets anyone who was thinking of talking to a person know that they have no pride or self control. Its like a big banner that says "Hello world I cannot control myself enough to sit still for five fucking minutes, please sterilize me"
>>9319568

I'm not sure who I was going to be helping because I didn't have the requisite extension then, but is the person who I was going to help with the F-list profile still about? I haven't been contacted.
>>9320529
Oh, groceries and thnigs
You didn't have to pull all of those out
>>9320548
When you asked everything was still in the bags sitting on the floor.
>>9320529
you got nearly as much ketchup as iced tea?
>>9320578
You don't unbag your things and put them away the moment you come home?
So I quickly formatted my windows installation and totally forgot to save my chrome passwords/bookmarks/history/settings and was pretty worried since I have so mcuh crap I can't probably remember all of it.
Thankfully I remembered I was part of the Google botnet and just signed into chrome and it turns out I had sync enabled for all this and it's as if I had never even deleted my browser.
The botnet is dope desu
>>9320625
Only the stuff that needs to be refrigerated.
>>9320605
I have half as much ketchup as I have iced tea.
>>9320643
It really is nice and it syncs all devices too.
>>9320701
Those empty glasses.
I installed LTSB, should have done this much longer before.. This version of windows doesn't come with all that shitty bloat and store stuff.
>>9320702
I dopn't eat icecream often but if I do it's definitely vanilla.
