then I'll just say fuck that.
>>9150017
kek, sounds frustrating.
my friend does everything from home so I guess that's cool.
>>9150060
If you could do my job from home I'd never leave the house or stop working.
>>9150060
It can be frustrating, but for the most bizarre reasons.
Like, lying to customers about things, for instance.
I don't give my name over the phone unless its specifically asked for anymore because of it.
I've also learned how to word things to imply the truth instead of the lie.
You also have to do things that I really don't fucking agree with and won't speak on here, but I've been called up several times for them because I don't do them.
'You have to do this!'
'ok'
a month later, same thing.
Shits me off and I'm looking to get a job elsewhere.
There's one a mate linked me that might be decent but I'm not sure what its exactly for yet.
I'm gunna head to bed.
Have a good one /b/read.

I will use my ancient aztec magic to hack this thread back to LIFE
I didn't know you were ancestrally Mexican
>>9150930
Well you posted so does that mean my magic worked?
Yes, it did. It also means that your ancestors were in central mexico no later than the sixteen hundreds, likely much earlier

Don't get mad it's not my fault you outed yourself as coming from one of histories most late blooming and overrated empires

Someone gave my mom some cookies in the shape of carpenter tools and it looks like they really took a while to make them and she was just going to throw them all away wtf, how can you just throw away something that looks this cute. I fuckin ATE THEM
Don't be.
Do you not?
It's impossible not to think so, look at the timing of their civilisation and achievements compared to western culture or even the Egyptians. Oxford existed five hundred years before the Aztecs were even getting started.
How were the cookies? Why didn't you show them to me? Why does your mom hate tge best things?
hello /b/read
>>9151840
Well iirc aztecs were basically indigenous indians and I can't remember any relatives who were indigenous indians.
The cookies were pretty great. They were small, about quarter sized and just three of them so I gladly took them.
Idunno.. reminds me, I had an iguana once, I have a bunch of pics of it sitting on chairs, riding inside model cars I'd build and on an Eiffel tower, got it during summer cause I always wanted a lizard pet and when my mom took care of it the first week I had to go to school, I told her they needed to stay warm and I'd occasionally take it outside just to sunbathe and she left it on the hood of a car in a plastic container and I came back and found it cooked.

I kinda wanted to get into sublime text but jfc it's not started friendly so I went with VSCode.. mostly cause I've been using notepad++ for 2 years and I really like it but I accepted it's not as great at debugging stuff in nodejs or nwjs which is what I play with most now.. so I gave up on it and just use N++ as my whatever editor. I was looking at sublime again and remembered why I didn't like it.

Bloated, overcomplicated user interfaces. A pain in the ass if you need to change the way the program is built. Just give me an editor and a Makefile or CMakeLists.txt.
>>9153291
Oh come on, Sublime isn't like... Vim/Emacs hard. You can learn everything you need in a couple of minutes.
Also, editors are not for debugging. If you want a debugger for nodejs, use your terminal.

CMake is a cross platform tool for generating Makefiles.
Make is a build system based on rules and dependencies. For instance, main.o might depend on main.cpp, and have a rule of:
g++ -c $(CXXFLAGS) -o main.o main.cpp
When main.o needs to be built, that command or sequence of commands is run. If your executable depends on main.o, then it will run all of the commands to build main.o before itself.
An important thing to note is that if a rule is a file, it will not run the commands if that file is newer than it's dependencies. So if main.cpp was last edited on August 6th and main.o was last created on August 9th, it makes sense that main.o does not need to be rebuilt.

>>9153670

>>9153623

>>9153788
YES!

>>9153771
No, that's a skitty party.
>>9153803
I like to use a debugger that at leats tells you the value of variables when it hit a breakpoint in nwjs or nodejs, running the programs from a terminal doesn't allow for that level of inspection without adding "debugger;" keywords in the code.
>>9153857
Pretty sure there are commands you can execute in the debugger to print variables, watch for when they change, and more, without having to modify your own code. Have you never used a command line debugger before?
>>9153788
>>9153808
thanks >;3
>>9153930
No. I have not. I know nodejs has a command line debugger but it's not the best, in fact, it fucking sucks and the only REAL reason anybody would use that is because they're operating on a system where they can't install a fully featured debugger that makes the process easier or they just want to show their neckbeards autistic powerlevel. It's not veryy featured anyway. Also I like using nwjs which is basically nodejs + webkit + headless chromium minus the botnet and using the command line to debug your GUI apps that are built on this is very unconventional and it's just easier to use the SDK version and attach a fully featured debugger to it that lets you set breakpoints easily by just clicking things and also hovering over your variables in whatever file to see their value as you step through things.
It's pretty dead around here
Dead is good. Otherwise, there is too much to read.

>>9154148
>No. I have not.
If you had, you'd know they're pretty simple to use. It's basically a shell of its own for setting breakpoints, watchpoints, and running arbitrary functions.
And using a command line debugger means you can use a better editor. A text editor has one job: edit text. If it sacrifices features used for making editing text easier to add features for some other job, it's not a good editor. Vim and Emacs are arguably some of the most powerful editors, but they are not user friendly. You've got a learning curve in exchange for power. Sublime, by comparison, is easy as hell, but with a ton of features that make editing text easier (i.e. multiple cursors).
>>9154205
I could groom you, but I don't have a hairbrush on me.
