What's the best guide(s) in your guys' opinion?
There's actually so many fucking guides out there to read and they're all extremely long reads individually, and most of them cover the same shit, so I'm wondering what you guys consider the best ones. I don't really want to read all of them.

There are actually a few verbal guides on youtube. You could try searching tulpa and pick the ones that actually deal with the real phenomena instead of the ones about creepypasta. Other than that I can't really recommend a single guide desu. My personal take on it was to take bits and pieces of different guides and use the ones that seem to work the best for you. There are so many different avenues to approach this that using only one guide would be foolish in my opinion.

So this is kind of a weird deal.

I'd say it is a separate neural network in the sense that it works consistently and gives us different result as the network of our own personality does. However there are more overlaps than not. A tulpa can access the same memory, the same languages, they can see what we see, hear what we hear, experience what we experience. It doesn't really have to be a different personality. All it has to be is that you experience it as a different personality, and that delusion process has to be a "separate neural network" that represents your tulpa. Though I am happier with the "it's a whole different personality" approach. And my tupper too.

The right to pick any form they want.

Moral and peer pressure would be nice to enforce those rights, but ultimately, there is not much to do about it and everyone can do whatever in their minds.

Yes to the first two, and also assisted suicide. It really depends on the case. If the host just ignores the tulpa against their will, it is murder. If the tulpa somehow managed to kill themselves, it is suicide. If they both agree that it is best if the tulpa died, then it is still suicide, but assisted, if the host helps.

I don't think you can actually kill a tulpa, only deactivate them. Most people seem to view dissipation as akin to killing, so I think it says something when someone openly admits to having done it. With the deactivation perspective, I suppose it'd be more like a semi-permanent sleep.

Tulpa dissipation is something that I never want to find myself facing, however if she wanted to not exist and effectively die, I would let her. That situation would be assisted suicide. If I ignored her and she eventually faded completely from my mind, that would be murder by neglect. Active killing is when you physically and emotionally beat down your tulpa so bad that they want to die as a direct result of your actions, and manage to remove themselves from existence through their own means IMO.
I'd love to hear other peoples' input on these questions, they're pretty thought provoking

I struggle with visualization. I have this idea that I'm going to get a VR headset and then have a 3D model of a video game character I like, and then spend tens of hours just studying it's every detail. The theory is that the Tetris effect will make it very easy for me to visualize correctly. Does it sound like a good idea?

so i got to work forging my own tulpa.

It's been a year and a few months and we only have vocalization with mindvoice and she is sentient. Her form changes sometimes like her clothes/hair styles etcetera, but she doesn't do a lot when forcing.

You could say it is like empathy, but with a touch of reality. For example, if you see someone pour acid into their eyes, you involuntarily cringe and imagine just how horrible that must be feeling. My tulpa would, additionally, know exactly what it felt like without having experienced it first-hand, like the host did.
