I think it's a mix, some people genuinely enjoy the comics. There isn't too many furry comics out there and the Katbox hosts alot of them so..

The thing with comics like Las Lindas or Rascals is - they aren't really trying to have a story with deep characters. It's just lame jokes over fanservice with a tiny sprinkling of "story".

The other webcomics there aren't as pandering as that - generally speaking.

The only comic on Katbox I can say that u genuinely enjoy so far is the eye of Ramalach. Uberquest is still a tad bit too soon for me to tell since it feels like the meat of the story hadn't been reached yet. It's a mix and you can't forget that people can care about both, one possibly leading into the other. The Eye of Ramalach doesn't have that much fanservice in the comic but a solid plot that people care about.

Uberquest has fanservice but shit like Sesame's Dream had gotten quite a few people's attention. It has yet to really get to the meat of the story but there's only so much you can do when you can only get one page a week out. People want to see lewds of them but they want them to develop at the same time.

Las Lindas and rascals have years of being nothing but fanservice. Las Lindas tries to care about its story but fails and Rascals never cared about the story. It was always "What sexy shenanigans can i put these characters into next?" and for some reason it's trying to have character development all of a sudden.


I sorta feel like people look at Las Lindas and suddenly hold all the Katbox comics to its level when that isn't really fair.

Las Lindas is ranked so low because it took ten or more years for chalo to actually attempt to move the story on. The only reason it's moving forward is because he wants to do something else. What can be said for the characters has already been said for the most part. Chalo's art is nice but that's the comic's main saving grace. And as for SK taking on all the blame because he's the main writer...

Yeah I know he's had his share of bad ideas, but Chalo could veto his choices. Like both of them share the blame because I'm sure some of the issues people have had with the comic idea wise came from chalo himself as well.

The second one isn't skidd's pic at all. Both have done full on porn commissions regarding Uberquest. Skidd just wont do the main 6 characters for money. The sesame and farron thing is a special occasion. Farron and the rabbit woman actually happened in the story.

Skidd has done porn commissions of Kylar's mom, The queen, Aradelle, Gwen, basically side characters for the most part.

Phuufy has done porn commissions of whoever gets asked regardless of how they actually swing in the comic.

Even then a vast majority of Skidd's commissions tend to be OCs or Jasmine and sometimes her mom. The flood of UQ pics we see in these threads didn't come all at once.

My concern with the future of Uberquest is that because the authors rely a lot on sommissions for quick cash, they won't be as ambitious as they would be for the plother since killing off a character or some scarring or physical alteration to someone wouldnt always sit well with people who want to commission those characters for whatever. Also I am personally one of those people who would be more than glad if the comics become black and white since coloring takes twice as much time and hopefully more comic pages van be made. I swear a lot of Web comics are color saturated to sell off their characters as sexy Bait for some people to pay commissions with them in it.

I hate to sound like a jackass, but I dont think one liners really count as being that memorable. I say this because Zero fucked those up and even ruined one of them.

I've seen some bitch when people say her telepathy does have a purpose, which I know it wasnt completely fleshed out, but if used the right way she could easily be that beneficial. If I also had to really stretch it, I mean if you ever looked at Bucky o Hare and noticed how almost everyone can be compared to them, she could be as motherly as Jenny is. Bit of a joke, but she also did baneposting before it was a thing, as if she knew.

But really, id rather not derail the thread into a Star Fox discussion. It's something to really save for when such a thread appears.
