Pretty safe to say that it's the same artist.
And it's not exactly that weird that an artist deletes old work, especially when we're talking about something of that quality.

Still it would be nice to see where all of the great ones have come from.
Too many of them have purged their ancient art.
I can understand it though.
Stuff I drew only few months ago makes me cringe hard when I look at it now.
