Last thread, someone asked who would be on the teams for a satyr version of Doom Patrol and X-Force. If this was a bigger world, neither of the satyrs in these groups would join their Justice League or Avengers.

The context is important for both teams. X-Force is pretty much the Black Ops team for X-men. They do shady shit that they don't want to be public to know like having to assassinate someone who is getting ready to attempt to commit genocide against the mutants or a child version of Apocalypse and such

Doom Patrol on the other hand is for the more weird and wild stuff the Justice League doesn't take care of. Their enemies are similar to old science fiction. One of the heroes in it has powers from getting so buff, that if he flexes a certain way, he warps reality. They also consist of characters who never had a "breakout" with the exception of Beast Boy. I can't think of a good Doom patrol, but here's X-Force

Dawn looks around to see the strange location she’s in. Everything has a metallic sheen to it with the exception of concrete floors. There are doors and hallways everywhere and includes a second floor as well. The lights shine bright, exposing any sort of darkness. She’s in her armor and keeps her sword in hand. She yells, “Is anyone here?”

All of a sudden, she hears a set of wings flapping toward her from different directions. They both stop once they meet her. Another satyr possibly. It’s a female with the Rainbow hair, and she wears a blue jacket with white lines representing wind and yellow pants. She also wears a pair of goggles to mask her face. She recognizes her, but she’s in costume, so she refrains to saying her persona. “Tempest?” she questions the two. “Princess Dawn! Was that you shouting?” Tempest asks her.

“Where are we,” The Princess asks her. Just as she asks her, they hear another pair of wings heading to them and sees another satyr. This one has the same rainbow hair. He wears a similar jacket and pants, but inverse to him. His jacket has a lightning bolt going across it. Instead of goggles, he wears a metal hat that has his symbol on it as well. “Storm Rider at your service Princess,” he says with a smile and bow. “Storm Rider, it’s so good to see you’re here too,” Tempest gives her brother a hug. He gives her a one arm hug, “Can say the same to you. What are you doing here?” he asks he. They then start speaking at speeds Dawn can barely understand and sound like a cassette tape about to break from the speed.

“Talk slowly,” Dawn ask the two. Dawn look at the two and ask, “Now let’s figure out why the three of us are here.” As they were about to start, they hear another voice. “Make it four,” the new voice says. They look to where the voice came from and its Prince Sirius. He wears his royal apparel but still has his mace in hand. “Nice to see you here cousin,” Dawn says with a smile. “Huh, so a prince is here too?” Tempest asks herself.

She wears a luchador outfit, including a mask that still shows her dark hair and a brown streak in it. She jumps down to the same level. “Mighty Mare? Didn’t think you would get stuck here.”

“Hello Mighty Mare,” Sirius looks at her, “It looks like we need to be cohesive and work as a team.” Mighty Mare gives him a smile, “Agreed. I think we should-“ she started before she gets interrupted by him. “Our most important priority is figure out where we are. Storm Rider, you and your protégé should-“ Dawn interrupts her cousin, “You’re the leader now?” she asks him questionably. He may have been his pupil, but he was never really a leader for a group. That was more her brother. He looks at her, “I’m second in line to the throne of Equestria. What’s wrong?”

“Well Mighty Mare is a good leader.”

Storm Rider and Tempest are glad they got the queue. Things seemed to about to get a little tense. “We’re on it.” Storm Rider says as both him and Tempest fly away and start their search. Once they get far enough, Storm Rider tells Tempest, “Sorry about Sirius’ ‘Protégé’ remark, Prism. I saw you wince-,” He notices that she isn’t paying attention. “Prism?” he asks her. Tempest than asks her brother, “Do you hear that? Guys! Follow us!” she yells toward everyone, following the noise.

Tempest looks through the door she heard the noise she was coming from. Both her and her brother see familiar faces. It’s Ivy and Thorn in their costumes as Toxic Oak and Forest Keeper. Ivy wears a dress made of leaves and a pink domino mask. Thorn wears the black sap suit that Uncle Discord gave to her. Prism and Icarus see what they were doing. Ivy was protecting a small Gizmo so he can grow and protect the two

The seven satyrs meet in the room, trying to figure out what’s happening. After realizing they can trust each other, one last shows up. “Well it’s nice to see some familiar faces,” the voice says outside the room. They all look to see who it is. Mighty Mare does recognize that voice. It’s her cousin in his costume. “Dark Horse,” she yells and runs up to give him a hug. All he asks them, “So what did I miss?”

Little do the team of heroes know, he has ways to hear and see everything they do. He hides in a room they can never find, watching through many mirrors, and starts to talk to himself. The Minotaur with a broken horn and in full of his traditional talks to himself “I love surprises. The thrill of the unexpected. The shock of the unknown. The mystery behind a door. And to find the door, you need to find the way out of the Labyrinth of Minos.” He looks at the pictures of the eight he captured. They’re set to two sides. “I’ve picked these eight to work on. Experienced heroes and ones they passed their knowledge unto. Mentors and pupils. The symmetry of it all is very pleasing and obvious now looking back.”

He continues on, “The relations they have are complex and intimate. A Mentor can pick a part a pupil’s mind while an adept pupil can reveal the Mentor’s true colors.” He thinks about these heroes. Their minds are resilient. They’re practically bred to resist and fight back. He’ll need to stress them to they’re breaking point. It will be difficult, but they will break. All their secrets will come out, and he will win. He smiles thinking how difficult it will be for them, especially for a certain two.

The eight continue to search together. Gizmo has finally grown big enough for Ivy to ride as a mount again. Mighty Mare asks her cousin, “Did you find anything?” He shakes his head, “No. My mask only found the eight us here.” Sirius interjects and tells them, “Whatever it is it may be cloaked.” Sirius than raises his Mace and uses his magic on it to detect anything in any shadows and Ivy uses Gizmo to look for any plant life. Both find a whole lot of nothing. Tempest asks Forest Keeper, “So no plants around?” She then corrects her younger friend, telling her, “Even miles away, Gizmo can detect plant life, even someone’s stomach. This place is either sealed or miles away from a forest or anyone.”

Thorn points out, “This place is shielding us from telepaths too. Our team has a link with Rory, but I can’t reach him either. He would looking for us by now.”

“That’s if he knows we’re missing. Storm Rider, can you do a quick search?” Dark Horse ask him. There’s no way he looked through everything on his way to the others. Surely two speedsters can. “No problem Dark Horse,” he says with a smile. Sirius tells him to bring the girl with him so they can split the task. The two fly off together. As they fly away from the group, Prism points out, “Sure seems like the pecking order changes quite a bit.” Icarus just smiles and says, “That’s because your team works with one or two leaders. This happens all the time.”

Right before they split off, Icarus has something gnawing at the back of his head that’s been bothering him. “Stop a second,” he says to her. Icarus looks at her and says, “So far you’ve been called my protégé and ‘the girl’. I’m sorry some don’t see you and your team as grown ups.” Prism just giggles a bit and waves it off, “Forget about it.” He does want to make sure she gets it, “It’s important. I don’t see it like that. I’m a hero. You’re a hero. You’ve proven it to me that you’re not my protégé.” Prism tells him, “I am your equal though.” They then split off and fly to find out what this place is like.

Dawn and Sirius search themselves. She does notice something about their relationship though and she asks herself, ‘Has he always been this cold to her?’ She asks her cousin, “Am I being punished for something?” He doesn’t look at her and tells her, “It’s nothing. We can’t just trust each other.” Dawn puts her hands on her hips, “What’s that supposed to mean” Sirius looks back at her and calmly says, “If someone can abduct us, what else can they do. What can they look like?” Dawn thinks it can’t be just this. “We haven’t been close in a long time. I don’t understand why you’re so cold towards--“ Sirius then stops her and says he’s not.
“For all I know, everyone else in this room is an imposter. You just need to understand that.” He tells her and splits off from her. Mighty Mare and Dark Horse look at this, glad they trust each other still and that one of them should do something. Darcy tells her cousin, “Go ahead, you’re the detective.” Utah yells so everyone there can hear him. “Listen up. It’s not a big leap of logic to think that we’ve been abducted deliberately, but we still don’t know who they are and why though.” Everyone turns toward him as he continues, “But it’s clear that they’re trying to turn us against each other.”

Utah then points to Gizmo, “Gizmo is missing the mushroom that glows on top of his head if someone is lying.” Ivy looks at her mount and sees that it is in fact missing. The surprised look on her face confirms that it’s not there. Ivy then tells Darcy, “Your sidekick is smart.” Darcy just smiles and tells her that he isn’t her sidekick.

Utah continues, “So they took the mushroom that can get us to trust everyone, but they left the rest of our equipment.” Thorn interjects, “To fight. It’s always fighting.” Utah nods his head and touches one of the walls, “But our weapons have other uses. Maybe we can figure out what’s behind these walls. I got a few explosives and me and Mighty Mare could probably hit it hard enough and long enough for it to puncture, but I’m not sure if that’ll do.” He then looks at Dawn and Sirius, “Your majesties?” The two walk to the wall, weapons in hand and glowing bright. Dawn asks her cousin, “On three?” He nods his head and gets his mace ready and says, “One. Two-“

Minos looks at what they’re doing. “Damn it. Too much cooperation.” He then looks at what he can do with all the options he can pick from. There is one that makes him smile and says to himself, “This will do.” He presses it and can’t wait to see what it will do.

As Sirius is about to yell three, he grabs his cousin and move her out of the way. A giant metal golem appears from the thin air, yelling, “TIME TO DIE!” Everyone moves out of the way from his fist landing on the ground. Dark Horse gets on the golems back and sees there’s an opening in his neck and torso. “DEAD! ALL OF YOU WILL DIE!” the golem yells. He sticks the explosive to the back of his neck. The Golem notices him and grabs him, throwing him across the room and yells, “Get off me!” The explosive goes off inside him, making him stop for a second, but doesn’t destroy him. Thorn takes advantage of this and makes one of her fists form into a series of spikes. She runs and punches the golem in the stomach with all her might, making the giant stop in its tracks. Dawn then jumps on the back of the golem with her sword in hand and starts slashing at the back of his neck.

The Golem focuses on Thorn and brings both fists to the ground, trying to squash this hero. Before it can, Mighty Mare grabs her and moves them both out of the way. Dawn continues to slash at the Golem’s neck, slowly cutting through it. It still doesn’t stop it. It looks toward Toxic Oak and Mighty Mare, and gets ready to slam upon them with his fists. Before he can make contact with either of them, Ivy uses Gizmo to stop it.

After many slashes, Dawn finally cuts the Golem’s head off. This doesn’t stop it though. “It’s still going,” Utah says. “Not for long,” Sirius says before land a blow against hits the golem so hard, it shatters the torso completely. As Sirius makes sure the body isn’t going anywhere, they hear, “Initiating Self Repair.” Dawn looks at the head, pointing a glowing hand at it. “I don’t think so,” she says as a stream of heat is released from her hand, melting the golem’s head before it can repair.

They recover and congratulate each other. As they do, Dark Horse tries to figure out who made this golem. No marks from any possible makers. Sirius then asks, “So the Golem isn’t behind this, I guess.” Mighty Mare looks at him and asks, “To capture us through without a problem and just fight us head on like that? The plan doesn’t make sense.” Sirius then tells her, “Being a villain doesn’t make someone immune to contradict themselves, Mighty Mare.” As Utah continues investigates and everyone is prepared in case it somehow comes back to life, they hear two sets of wings coming toward them. They see Storm Rider and Tempest flying back with them asking simultaneously, “What did we miss?” and he asks “Is that a golem?” Sirius tells them yes and ask them what did they find.

They both say at the same time, “Six square miles of chambers that look the same-,” they both stop. “Sorry,” says Tempest. Storm Rider looks at her and says, “No, you can go.” Sirius looks at them with a glare, “Stop being cute. So, everything is uniform? Are there any doors? Anything we can possibly use to get out?”

Minos continues to watch his subjects, seeing Toxic Oak asking where the Golem could have possibly come from. This is good for him. The paranoia seems to start to set it. He sits down back in his chair and relaxes. He sees that they’re starting to figure out that what he built is to hold them. Sure, he could end this with just brute force. Unlikely though, brute force is crude way of escaping. He always preferred finding a key for a door out. Doors have always opened for him, both literally and figuratively. The only door that he was never able to open and caused many to close was because of the two he wants crushed, so he wants to see the end of this. He touches his horn and looks at the cracks and dents of his armor, knowing they’re both at fault.

As Minos watches the ones he captured, far away and in Ponyville, two teams are trying to figure out where their friends are. “Couldn’t find anything on normal channels.” Pogo tells Hope. She then asks him, “What about energy detectors?” Pogo stretches his arm from where he sat to the other room to grab what he found. He pointed it at her and it showed nothing. Hope doesn’t understand. She’s working with Radiance and Selena, two Alicorn satyrs, and they’re drawing blanks. Sure, neither of their siblings are officially part of either team, but they should still be easy to find. Rory says he’s getting nothing psionically. Hope ponders about this because none of this makes sense. It’s like that they’re not in range, but actually just not there. All these satyrs just vanished in an instant.
While those five try to figure out, one of Utah’s friends in costume, Feather Heart, has an idea. “We need a stakeout.” Everyone looks toward her, waiting for her to continue. “Look, we’ve been actively searching for hours and so far, nothing. What we need to do is mount some surveillance any way we can. Communications, sensors, magic scanners, Rory’s mind. And just wait until we find something.”

The group of the eight captured satyrs look at the ceiling, all noticing that black clouds start covering it. “Now what?” Tempest asks. Suddenly, dozens of changelings come out of the black clouds. The eight are ready this time. “Changelings?” Dawn summons a shield with her magic and bashing one with it. Ivy uses Gizmo to summon parasprites and attacks one of the changelings with the swarm. “Is this some sort of test she asks everyone. Thorn uses the sap to turn her hands into several claws and cut several into pieces. “For what? To see if we can take care of jobbers?”

Utah uses his lasso to grab several at a time and swings them above his head. “Maybe it’s to see if we can work together.” After he says that, he releases the rope and throws the group he grabbed toward his cousin. She grabs the bundle and piledrives all of them at once. “You think it might be Chrysalis trying to return? I thought she’s been dead for years,” She says. Sirius bashes several with his mace and notices that none of them bleed. In fact, they’re made of the same material as the golem. “They’re convincing, but they’re not real. So, it can’t be her.”

Icarus and Prism flies through the sky, punching several at speeds that these faux changelings can barely track where they’re going. “So, someone is throwing lifelike copies of enemies against us? Why?” Icarus asks everyone. Utah interjects while slamming one on his leg, “Psychological maybe,” he suggests as it becomes clear that no matter the number, they’re taking care of them with little to no problem. Prism says, “That sounds right,” as she grabs one and throws one into a wall. Dawn continues to cut and bash her way through them and yells, “They may be physically dangerous, but we’re doing fine.” Thorn continues to mow more of them down, “There’s also that if they can make replicas of a golem and hordes of changelings, why not Tirek or even Uncle Discord?”

Utah takes his gun out and starts shooting several while Dawn uses her magic to melt them. “Yeah, it doesn’t seem like whoever has us wants to kill us, but mess with our heads,” he tells everyone. Gizmo crushes it by stomping on it with one of his front legs and Ivy asks, “Like what? Break us down?” Darcy uses a steel chair she grabbed from hammer space and takes out the last one with it. “It’s not going to work then. We trust each other enough.”

Sirius looks toward the rest of them and asks, “Do we?” Mighty Mare rolls her eyes and points at him, “Don’t start that again, prince.” Utah starts to search the changeling bodies, seeing if he can find anything. While this is going on, Sirius continues, “It’s still valid Mighty Mare. Even if we all are who we say we are. That still leaves several questions.” He looks at Toxic Oak and Forrest Keeper. “What, secret identities?” Thorn asks. Sirius tells them no, “It’s not that, it’s where you got your suit and treant from. I’m not saying Discord is bad, but can you trust them with how his magic works.” Ivy decides to cut him off, “I do and your mother does too. I think you’d better watch what you’re implying.”

Sirius gets a bit defensive, saying, “It’s just an example. If this guy is trying to either mess with us or get secrets, what are we hiding between all of us?” Tempest decides to cut in as well, “Toxic Oak and Dark Horse are my friends. And I know Dawn well enough to say she’s one too.”

As this goes on, Utah takes the eye out of one of the replicas and notices that it works like a machine. He messes with it further as everyone continues. “Mentors and Proteges. We know our counterpart better than anyone,” he comments. Dawn looks to her cousin, “Not all of us. Go on say it. I know you’re thinking it.” Sirius stays silence. “You know I’m right. We’re not as close as everyone else. The way you’re acting to everyone else. To me”

Sirius calmly tells his cousin as he starts to walk away, “It’s nothing but trust and the situation, leave it alone, Dawn.” Dawn refuses to though and continues to push, “No, the way you’re with me recently hurts. I never thought you’d treat me and the others-“ Prism and Thorn grabs her by the arm and try to calm her down. It doesn’t stop her from talking though.

Dawn looks at everyone, “You all have bonds. Storm Rider and Tempest. Mighty Mare and Dark Horse. Even Forrest Keeper and Toxic Oak despite how your powers seem to hate each other. It’s the way you treat on another. It may come off as distant and formal, but it seems warm compared the way he is with me.”

Dawn continues telling off her cousin, and Utah figures out something with the eye he’s been messing with. It starts to glow again. “You find something, Primo?” Mighty Mare asks him. “I think so. It looks like the changelings eyes uses something that recognizes anything organic. I think I got it working.” He shows his cousin that it’s detecting everyone in the room, even the rock parts of Gizmo. Storm Rider hears this and is more interested in it than Royal drama. “Can we use it to figure out where the guy who captured us is?” Utah continues to mess with it and tells him, “That’s what I’m hoping.”

The three pay attention to the eye until they hear Sirius starting to yell back. “You know what Dawn? You can be impossible to work with sometimes. I get the worst end of the stick all the time and no one cares, but mother forbid that if you ever get into trouble. It’s always you or Radiance, even if I’m the oldest out of all of us. It’s like being in the shadow because I don’t advertise myself! I do all this and no one cares, I don’t ever get any credit!”

Dawn looks at her cousin confused. “Sirius, we all care about you. You’re the one who helped me fight. Radiance needs you. Selena needs you. I need you. You’re the support that keeps us all going.” She tells him. Sirius calms down, “Do you really mean that?” She nods her head yes. The two hug it out.

Minos is disappointed, he was hoping someone would crack, but nothing happened. In fact, it made things worse for him. All the mirrors’ magic stopped working for a few seconds. All the power he had in this system stopped working.

“Everyone, when Sirius and Dawn got along, a power surge happened.” Utah points to a wall and yells, “There’s someone behind that wall!” Sirius and Dawn grab their weapons and break the wall down in a single hit. All eight satyrs follow through to figure out what in Equestria is causing all of this. They see the Minotaur with a broken horn. He grabs his Warhammer, believing he can still fight all of them. Only two of them recognize who he was. “Guess it’s time for brute force!” Minos yells.
Just as he was about to fight, a portal opens on the other side of the room. Out of it comes six other satyrs, all their friends that were looking for them. “If it has to be like that, I’m sure they won’t mind.”

Before anyone can react, he summons a black portal on the floor. As he jumps in, Storm Rider and Tempest try to catch him. Neither of him could grab him, letting him escape.

The two teams of satyrs are in Canterlot to figure out was going on. Utah is in Celestia’s garden. He is with Rory, Darcy, and Feather. Utah asks them, “So let me get this straight, we were in some weird bunker near the Crystal Empire?” Rory shrugs his shoulder, “I can’t explain why. Whoever that guy was, he was messing with some weird magic. Some sort of trans-dimension stuff. I can only guess he was working with someone. Minotaurs don’t have that kind of magic.”

“Who? The guy sure seemed to want to break us instead of kill us.” Darcy asks him. Rory continues, “I’m looking into it. I do have to ask you something Utah.” He looks at his friend, “What’s that?” Rory spits out the question, “Do you know anything about Minos?”

The two teams spend the rest of the night to just celebrate that the eight are alive and still kicking.

Somewhere unknown, Minos looks into his equipment. He was hoping that he would have been able to wipe those two and their friends away. It doesn’t matter. Next time, he’ll just figure out a way to get all of them at once.

Granted, I skimmed over most of it and didn't really read the end, but what I did read seemed like it wasn't my cup of team. The sentence structure is overly simplified and the dialogue isn't anything to write home about. There's very little description in scenes other than 'This happens. Then this happens. Fantasy shit, mostly non-lewd.

I just started the preliminary work to modern mystery staring a 600 year old swashbuckler who plays peacekeeper for the hidden immortal population in a fictional southwest US city.

This character though is from a series of short stories within a overly complicated setting. She like has a psionic link to her twin brother (main character of most of it) allowing her to pester him at any moment and see (also hear, taste, or tangere) what he does. She's kind of a perv, so she tries to get him to hook up with every character he interacts with, but they're both so antisocial that he fails constantly.

On the back burner is a romance set in a world were magic requires two people to perform, a not-digimon story where the characters are psychics and their 'mons are manifestations of their insanity (Excop with a knight who represents her rage, a Janitor with a cube that voices his self doubt, and a neet drawfag with a waifu), and a multiplayer choose your own adventure game in a dark fantasy world (still figuring it out).

My current main project is a card/board game, so all that is on hold.

Maybe some day I'll finish one of these things, but my crippling self doubt is likely to help me carry all of this to the grave.

It's a very basic dungeon fantasy fighty thing. Bad guys show up, you fight them, then you get loot, back to town for trading, and repeat a couple times before fighting a villain. Combat includes random event cards as the main uncertainty element.
I'm not yet to proof of concept so... who knows if it's worth a damn.

Pic related (sorry for wasting limit on this derail) is one of the playable Heroes and her Rival... her ability is to use defeated enemies as a one off special attack. If you run into her Rival (enemy cards that have special rules if someone's playing a specified hero) she can keep him around for the rest of the game.
