Reposting for the new thread!

Things are heating up between Henry and Victoria... because the AC is busted. Whether the wind will blow favor their way or they get bogged down by the grit remains to be seen. Will Henry be able to overcome his past, or will he be bloody stumped in the end? Find out in Wandering Paw Prints through the Mulberry Buch, Chapter 7: Stilted Conversations, by Magonel!

Eh, it is always done for abloo abloo (at least story wise). I want to see it done as an actual fetish/something meant to get off to.
I can only think of one greentext, not even a fic!, that shows the scene of Judy cucking. It always skips that part, usually because Judy gets drunk. The only fic that comes to mind that ever came close was Consequences, and that fic was deleted when the author decided to turn their Fluent AU into a mass of rabbit tropes.

A little bit ago, are resident AngryCapper retired from /trash/ So to keep his dump alive, I will be doing weekly reposts (every 7-10days) of this at the start of whatever thread falls upon that day. I don't believe we have a set new capper since some green's have been capped after he left but I don't believe they had said they would stay with it. Either way. I will also leave you with his exact words here:

Hey thread.
This is AngryCapper (BunCapper), retiring.
Might unretire later, I dunno. Here's my archive anyways.
600 or so caps, everything should be in that zip.

Anybody but Remmy, Al and V.

Killing Remmy off would be the waste of the entire story. Where is the moral?
Remmy is on his journey of understanding and he should just be killed off?

I see a lot of people here act like Pack St. was a thug warzone, but it's not.
If the character does not meen an accident like car crash or commits suicide I do not see any realistic reason for any of them getting hurt.

I understant the whole theory about backlash against sheep but it would not fit to the spirit the movie ended on.

Zootopia ended with prey and predators having stronger bond and being more accepting of each other.
I can see the appeal of the dark side of things and that there was violence but again where is the lesson?
Prey hate predators because of what they are.
Predators will show they are better by beating innocent prey because of what they are, the same species as Bellweather.

And to Al and V.
I just really do not want to see any harm coming to them.

If Weaver decides to go with something like Remmy getting shanked and Al sacrificing himself to protect him, again I can see the appeal it would have for some people but the same thing as I said above. There is no reason it should happen.
And I am scared that this is an option seeing the hints like the whistle.

Man, what a 180. I remember when people were calling for a kickstarter to buy NW a scanner so we could read those scribbled comics better. I sort figured it would just go on permanent hiatus, never go off the rails like this. Fuck.

The cracks were showing at the end of the Wild Times segment, just after the first hiatus.

Despite people loving it, it was unabashed filler, and it's obvious that NW had more fun writing this than any of the following plot relevant updates.

During the hiatus, Comic came up with the first of two writings that I absolutely hated from him (like the guy, just hated these two things), where he tried to fill in the pieces based on what we had seen from the board. And it's sad that Honey being the villain simply because she's crazy made more narrative sense than what NW ACTUALLY wound up doing.

But what really killed any momentum that Zis had, was the Bunnyburrow update. Rather than split it into two parts, or even delay it for a few more days/a week, she posted that update with mediocre writing and worse art (due to making the otherwise okay artist rush to meet deadline).

After that, Zis became a joke, and people started seeing more that NW had feet of clay, such as the rant about bunny noses and this recent shit.

Indeed there is a lot that can be done with that theme: from early explorers to piracy to epic naval battles to modern day cruisers there is an entire world waiting to be explored.
The only piece that I remember that specifically required to be in ship was that green from Canidae for Halloween TT.
>>

My last word on the subject for now is that the IDEA of Zistopia is what makes it seem cool. The Manchas confrontation, Nick in Bunnyburrow, seeing Wild Times.

Those were individual moments that were appealing, interesting. But those moments were just that, and the moment connective tissue was needed to connect them together, things fell apart.

Much like Protopia: so many interesting ideas and concepts, but put together were a mess that wasn't thought all the way through.

I don't care if this is bait or not, because I'm gonna use it as a jumping-off point to discuss this angle which has been legitimately brought up before

I know I'm not a great artist and I've never pretended to be but it sure takes the wind out of your sails when you complete something you worked really hard on (in this case it was The Late Stake) and then one of the first comments you see was "oh man this was so well done, imagine if an actually good artist like ____ had drawn it!"

this was unironic and probably not meant as an insult
but man

man
>>
>>8280511

That was the thing though. Weaver constantly trolls so damn much to the point, that I wasn't sure what is bullshit and truth.

And at least for me, when I went through to try and read the context I understood it.

But I always came to the conclusion that the Buck did do this, thinking Judy wanted him, but when it turned out it was Nick instead, he enjoyed it in the end.

The gay bar thing makes a lot more sense.

>>8280560
Yes, Yes. I know that it was technically cuckolding. But usually in the context when it comes to these threads or when it is used in fic's. (And my own hate of it) Someone always come's out sad and shit, and that they didn't enjoy what happened.

Weaver's pic was missing the key aspect of cuckolding, and since Nick is saying that Judy is STILL better then the Buck that take's away the entire "Inferiority/They are better then me."

Which I believe is the POINT of cuckolding. Feeling weak/pathetic/not enough for your partner.

Shit, this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20312031/ is pretty much the strongest case of cuckolding I have read before.

>>
>>8280637
I'm gonna end up sounding like I'm on the asspat train, but the 'weaver is not a good artist thing' is something I never really got.

Comparing his work to the stuff he did a decade ago, the improvement is actually staggering. On top of that, it actually takes a lot of talent to convey emotion in a minimalist style. Someone who doesn't know how to draw could probably never do it.

It also may be because I'm an artist too, and I often feel like people who think Weaver's art is bad because it's simple drives me nuts. He's got good form, anatomy, and a great understanding of negative space. It's obvious he has an understanding of the fundamentals. He doesn't have to use them all (value, color) to show it.

How much detail you put into a piece isn't what makes it 'good'. It's how much feeling you convey in it, or the message being a piece.

I'm not saying Weaver is the best artist by any means, but he clearly knows what he's doing and it drives me crazy when people brush off his art for being minimalist in style.

Which I never felt was the point of your work. You told a story along with character interactions/growth, and it was the main part of it all. It was the reason I enjoyed your work
(Hell Late Stake is the REASON I got into Zootopia.)

So at least when it comes to Late Stake.
Nick and Judy masturbating to each other, then fellatio/cunnilingus? People wanted to see more of that, (which is what happened when that one artist did a single slide of it.)

I honestly wasn't fishing for compliments -- more trying to make a point about how people seem to feel the need to devalue one person's work in order to praise another's, or just generally being ingrates when they get something

Admittedly I should've worded it better to be clear this wasn't a "I NEED REASSURANCE!" post

Well Pack Street has this moral or phylosophical undertone. Or at least I see it that way.

There is a lot of life advices and moral lessons, Rex's phylosophy, showing things are often not as they seem, road to understanding and acceptance...
What Remmy learns or experiences gives us the readers something aswell (ouside a fun read).

Pack Street is a slice of a live story but it has wit and merit.
So I just feel like having it end in abloo abloo bad ending just because, would be kinda waste and a letdown.

okay uhhhhh
did I tell you guys this one already?
Cain isn't really my character, or at least not solely
It's been years so it's honestly kinda foggy but either a friend made him or we both collaboratively made him or something like that
he was originally made as a rambunctious bunny boy designed for /ss/
also he was called Cain because he had a striped dick like a candy cane
i don't know why, it was just a visual standout thing to draw attention to it
anyway his design is super vague so the Sunny Day version is basically just a bunny with line-eyes so it's not too important
I really didn't expect people to pick him out and think he's cute, especially with the other boys there who I felt got way more characterization

I actually belive they should not be compared because they are two different things.

The Sloshed fox is about emotions and heavy feelings. Both of them are scared to do it.
The Late stake is more about lust and youthful energy . Trying it.

Both of them end with them getting together or at least giving it a chance.
But they are very different. Like comedy and tragedy. You can like one more than the other but you cannot really compare them. Even if they have similar plot.

Well the comic is obviously not moment-to-moment. Judy goes in one panel from giggling at the lineup of pantsless boys to sitting on the floor showing off her foxhole. Given that Cain didn't take his boxers off, it's assumed he just pulled them down a bit for the "lineup" flash and then pulled them back up, then later started making out with and fingering Sharla.

>Skin blemish/Mole on FUR

Does Spin even know how that would make ANY sense!?

I mean that thing would have to be like a pillar rising up from that thing's skin.
Honestly though the chin isn't all that bad, it's not disgusting and unfitting like it was on Max.

Lionheart has a huge fucking chin, though.

No idea what the fuck she is doing with his nose though, it's like a house cat/rabbit or something not even close to an actual Lion. And they are pretty large, not small like you see here.

Also his ear's, lions have them on the top of their heads not the side.

Unless of course this is going to be another hybrid thing, then fuck me sideways.

I can't believe it, but I think that Anon was right. That she is trying to distance herself from Zoot canon. Just so she can have her furry men. She is actively shitting on Zoot and it's animal bases to get what she wants.
>>
>>8281605
ALSO, ALSO

>>
>>8281600

The only bad thing about that, is I feel that she would to to small for Nick. I mean we have already brought up how small Judy is, and how difficult it would be for them. and taking the average size of fox dicks?

Ya I feel she would not find it possible.

I don't think it's supposed to be animals anymore, really. Which is fine, she is entitled to write and draw her furry smut as much as people on e621 do. I just wish people wouldn't praise her so much for drawing average furry stuff with a disappointing plot, I get it back when Judy and Nick were interacting on Bunnyburrow (even with Judy panic, which she herself ruined after the reveal Max is both a hybrid and someone who Judy was interested before Nick). She did sidestep several cliches and made the story a bit more interesting, but right now she's making every cliche and writing Max on every page, her signature on every panel and her OCs becoming less likable. Max suffers hard from Creator's Pet and a character who originally stood off due to being the only one painted completely now became somewhat Scrappy of Interschminter.

>>8281699
I just remember when Judy panicked when they were on the train, all the way at the start and didn't want animals to talk about them. If they got near to each other.

Not even as a lover, just as friends. It bothered the fuck out of me, and it showed that Spin already wanted to play with fire ignoring character growth. But I still kept to it since I liked the art style and was starved for Zoot comics.

I wished I never read it.

There are works that manage to reach an high enough quality that is similar to the movie, but obviously only in some aspects.

Time travel is not easy to write, for the main reason that, except for really short works, the plot can become extremely convoluted.
Usually there are two choices: stable time loop (everything happened, and the time travel is accounted for in it) or progressive degeneracy of the timeline (like A sound of thunder).
Other than this I don't know how to help.

And now before i go to sleep and in case this is the actual last stream, i'd like to thank all of you for putting up with me, joining me on the stream and for all the fun.

i really had a blast with all of you, i will stick around the threads if you want to know, everyone stay comfy and i hoped you enjoyed the movies.

Goodnight.

from here this is just a repost of what's going on:

Now that Zootopia is done i'll take this post to let you guys know that this may be my last proper stream.

basicly i got a job and my new schedule will not allow me to stream at my usual times, it is entirely possible i'll be able to stream after coming from work but that still would be
about 1 am est, meaning i will probably need to reduce the number of movies and thats if i don't come home dead tired to stay awake for about 6 extra hours.

there is also the chance to stream in the morning but since most peps here are from america dunno how that would turn out.

in short i will need to figure out my working schedule and let you guys know.

The one I always remember is that one that had Bellwether, after having her plans ruined by Nick and Judy getting a machine to go back into the past. Where she nighthowlered a young Gideon so instead of clawing her during his attack, he went savaged and killed her.

You know, I don't really understand how so many people (ie trash) seem to hate this little story/art set.

I mean, I believe it was created during Halloween and other's liked it and wanted to see more of it.

And that's what we get a pretty good art set (granted his Judy always look's weird but I like the Nick.)
Which then where we can draw conclusion to what's happening. (Sadly it has stemmed like a dozen or so really shitty fanfic's, so points are also detracted there.

Yes I do think the one where Judy is researching why's to help Nick and what looks like him having a mental break down is pretty contrasting and awesome.

Yet the next one had "JUDY IS SHOT AND NICK IS IN SHOCK" was 0 to 100 really fucking fast. Way to much emotional whiplash.

I care and enjoy artist personal views. That is, of course, when they don't throw shitstorms on their feeds for it.

I wouldn't have hard feelings for anyone if they could just say "I like this/I dislike this" and leave it at that. But a lot of tumblr types LOVE picking fights on their feeds for literally no reason, every issue is worth 30 posts and snarky gifs, everything has to be "my way or the highway", you HAVE to shit on something else you'll get out "eye rolling gif" by the opposition or send your followers like drones to attack someone else, which already happened.

Like fucking Christ.

>You know, I don't really understand how so many people (ie trash) seem to hate this little story/art set.
I don't hate it, I just think it was a nice Halloween AU that tried to go too real and ended up being just the same stuff as always except now Nick is a cyborg. It just cashed out on "machines with blades and spikes" at the initial moment, then tried pushing it forward with more machines with blades and spikes, realized people were already unphased by it and went the obvious route where Judy/Nick get killed, then reverted back to the good old machines with blades and spike.

>>8282697
Dunno, fanart of fanart is pretty common in this fandom. If you consider all the AU/Side stuff, like Zist or Pack Street.

It's Monday... Have a Camping TT submission!
Inspired by gypsies, travelling circuses, and The Banner Saga. Plus a little greentext for some background:

>In days long past, when the world was young and fire still lit our cobblestone streets, a group of mammals roamed these lands.
>They were a motley crew:
>Entertainers, merchants, and crafts-persons of all kinds waking under one banner.
>The Banner of Outcasts
>Mammals that were shunned because of what they were or what they believed in.
>Mammals that were far from the norm:
>A kind and selfless fox
>A blind rabbit with a voice of gold
>A sweet-toothed-fortune-telling jackal
>A mongoose with a penchant for for knives and the arts
>And many others who wish to speak, write, and create as they see fit
>They roamed these lands, camping in forests and entertaining towns and cities with their skills.
>Never still, always moving.
>For they can't stay lest they wish to invoke the wrath of those that do not understand them.

Try and guess who's who while I finish the character infos

>“You had every right to hate me? What’s that supposed to mean?”

>“What, tricking me into spending money I couldn’t spare on a cause that wasn’t real, calling me cute, trying to ruin my only chance to be a cop, being a gigantic annoying jerk, and then threatening me with violence wasn’t enough?"

>“Okay, one, I didn’t threaten you. Ever. Two-”

>“That’s patently false. When we were at that stupid press conference, after I said those terrible things, you came at me. Claws out, teeth out, shouting at me. This handsome, funny mammal who’d proven invaluable, if kind of dickish, just turned on me. I’d known you for, what, three days? Three days, and all I really knew about you was that you were a professional liar, possibly a career criminal, and you maybe cared enough about doing the right thing – for whatever reasons – to stand up to Bogo for me, even though at the time I suspected you just wanted to give him lip for doubting your word because of your species. You told me a secret, and I thought you were…beginning to like me. But then instead of talking to me, you came at me. I know now that you were all words, but then? When I’d only had three days of utterly demeaning nicknames? Three days of doubt and disrespect? Is there any other way I could have interpreted that, other than a violent threat?”

More than hate I think (personal opinion gauging the reactions here) than many, me included, are disappointed.
The art is more than nice (especially in shadowing and reflections) but the premise was more than a little edgy. Yet we gave it a chance.
With the nice hospital drawing, the Weaselton one and the one with Judy going for research, even with all the hints that it could possibly become very edgy (e.g. the shadow in the Weaselton drawing), there was the hope that it could be something else.
Instead it is the usual trite story of [cyborg name] going on a superpowered evil side rampage after [person who cares for] is killed/put in a life-threatening situation.

UH, wow. I am intrigued with where that snippet is coming from. I have no idea when this conversation could ever come up, like after the Bridge scene or is it an AU?

Anyways, this totally feels like they are about to have a falling out or something.Ouch.

So in this artists words her nearly pulling the spray was not only warranted but to be expected? In that Nick had no right to run away after he did those things?

I really dislike this sentiment. You can use whatever platform you have to say something, or support someone. It sucks that singular political stances come loaded with assumptions, so a simple statement provokes all sorts of negativity. I saw a printed out picture of Trump on the counter of a barber shop I go to. I didn't support him as a presidential candidate, but I respected them for sticking their neck out like that. This idea of "you're a barber, shut up and cut my hair" didn't seem right, considering conversation is a traditional aspect of barbershops. If it made me too uncomfortable, I could go somewhere else or change the subject.

Yeah, I 100% agree: that sentiment (and that image) are fucking stupid.

If anything I think it's even moreso for celebrities.
If you were an actor or something, and you had the unique opportunity and privilege to get the attention of thousands across the nation, wouldn't you want to use that for something you believe in? To give back to the people who made you what you are, and try to enact a positive change?

Not all such people are well informed (as the amount of celebrity anti-vaxxers shows) but if you have the national stage, wanting to use it to help society and humanity seems way LESS selfish than going HEY LOOK AT ME TALK ABOUT ME LOVE ME I'M SO FAMOUS DON'T YOU LOVE MY MOVIES
>>
>>8282850
Nah, we already went over this time and time again. He had no business in helping her, she blackmailed him to help her under the threat of arresting him, made a promise she would hand back the evidence after every time he helped her while breaking it every time, up to tricking him, using him and calling him shifty because it served her purpose, then when she would get stuck (dmv, manchas, bogo, cameras) he bailed her out when he could simply stood still and let her waddle around. Nick isn't the kind of guy to pick fights, he knows foxes are taken as shifty, he had no reason to pick a fight with Bogo, he did because he empathized with Judy.

It's ironic to see Judy of all characters acting like that, she was the first one to think Nick as a shifty fox, going as far to enter the shop pulling her fox mace and call him "very articulate fella". Nick did call her a bunch of shit (pretend investigation, fake cop, etc), but she wanting to justify her as a saint is retarded. After going through manchas chase and the hospital, she offered him to be a cop just like her, and more importantly her FUCKING partner, then went on TV to call all him and all other predators violent, refused to back down from said view and when he gives her a play attack it turns out she reaches for her fucking spray, towards the mammal whose life she had on her hand and her her life on his hand? Hell, don't blame him of being angry when you've shown you'd be more than happy to use him and blackmailed him then feel thrown aside when you literally act like he's just a sniffing dog that needs to be put down.

If this is after bellwether even worse. This Judy doesn't seem to be the same that went under the bridge to redeem herself, so I assume this is an AU where she thinks very highly of herself while Nick will be abloo bloo bloo my bun :-(

>wouldn't you want to use that for something you believe in
well, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

on the other hand, we are not an entertainment industry. we are a varied collection of like-minded individuals who enjoy the world of Zootopia, with some of us happening to be artistically inclined. we do all these things and share new content because it's fun. it's fun to chat, it's fun to draw and our dos and don't are to be governed by the unwritten rules and acceptable norms which ensure this place remains fun.

that's all there is about it and we're better off just enjoying ourselves and trying to be the best members of the community we can possibly be.

This snippet is from "A Quiet Chaos" ( http://archiveofourown.org/works/9855623/chapters/22114985 ), which has the characters pretty OOC, or at least Judy. Time and stress has taken their toll on them, it has been a few years, and Judy has gained this sort of lack of empathy.
Also she goes to this woman who agrees to let Judy beat her, Judy has her stress relief and the woman...enjoys it I think?
The story itself is very dark, almost oppressively so.

>So in this artists words her nearly pulling the spray was not only warranted but to be expected? In that Nick had no right to run away after he did those things?

From the author themselves;
>That press conference scene and the subsequent apology scene piss me off so much. Nick wasn't wrong to feel hurt and betrayed after everything Judy said, but, well. "Forgiving" her was not the kind, magnanimous gesture it was supposed to be, and I explain why during their fight.

I think the idea here is that, yes, pulling the spray out when someone comes at you with claws and teeth should have been expected, and Nick should have either just left straight away or talked more instead of trying to make a point with a feint attack. Nick had every right to be hurt and such, but what is someone's natural response when someone, who is twice their size in this case, appears to be throwing a punch?
I don't completely agree with everything Judy said, especially since after the sky trams it was pretty obvious that Nick's entire previous attitude was based on him expecting prejudice towards him, and I would think Judy would be smart enough to realize that Nick doesn't really have it out for anyone. That doesn't excuse some of the things Nick did, like leaving her in wet cement, but it makes it understandable.

It's not someone, it's the guy who she said "You're so much more than that", "You'd do a great cop" and literally trusted her life to him and his to hers. She offered him a position that would require her to trust him completely, he felt like finally someone had actually trusted him. Turns out that's not the case, he's angry, he tells her why, she shrugs it off like it was nothing and then after all the dangers they went together she prepares to spray him.

Nick leaving without more words is literally the most understandable reaction, his refusal to speak to her even more so. He doesn't want a partner who doesn't trust her, he doesn't want the job, the only reason they were together (blackmailing pen) was already with him, they had no reason to continue there. She didn't have either, she was in the system now and the ZPD trusted her, she didn't need his help. She got what she wanted, he got what he wanted, both moved on.

Later after Judy gave up her badge and came back, she goes for him for help. Return to original 'fake investigation' Nick and prejudiced cop Judy, she tries to get his help and after he shrugs her off again says "It's OK for this to remain this way, I deserve it because I said something mean. I was wrong", which was what Nick wanted from the beginning.

That interpretation of the scene sounds like something off someone who, after both sides bury their hatchet, still clings to that for leverage and emotional blackmailing. Not pretty, not Judy, either.
>>
>>8282850
Not really. This greentext stinks
I few days ago I met a weird fan who claimed that Nick should've apologized for everything he did to Judy, completly ignoring everything Judy did to Nick.

This is a bullshit example of someone seeing something as scary that obviously shouldn't be it.

>Claws out, teeth out, shouting at me.

Nick neihter shouted, nor had his teeth out, maybe claws a bit, but he obouviously wasn'T preparing to attack.

Judy is a trained police officer, so yes, SHE SHOULD'VE SEEN THE SITUATION CLEARLY, but she did not.

You can protect Judy by saying things like
-She was thought to fear foxes by her parents.
-She had PTSD from Gideon's attack.

But here is the real deal:
-Judy knows the teachings are bullshit, she tells that to her parents.
-Despite her knowing it, deep down she has a small fear of foxes and takes the spray with herself. She knows it's not right, but she does it anyway, because she in in DENIAL. It's her fault, because she repressed her fear, lied to herself, that she isn't affraid istead of dealing with her fear.
-But the worst thing she did. She reaced for it. You may say "that's just a reflex" but the thing is, reflexes are learnt by doing something mutliple times, Judy had that spray for like 3 days and never had to use it. She reached for it regardless. It wasn't and subconscious reflex. No. It was a very counscious action by her. She hasn't forgot about it that she had that thing, she was counting on it to protect her, and that can only mean that she was expecting it to protect her from Nick. She did precieved Nick as a potential threat BEFORE he got mad at her at the conference.

Judy mades small barely noticable mistakes, that build up to a one big negative reaction.

->THAT'S why she would feel guilty and NOT blame Nick like in the green text above.
>>
>>8282850
Holy shit this is so fucking stupid and cringey.

This reads like the author just went over a fictional argument in their head in the shower and thought about WHAT *I* WOULD HAVE SAID IF *I* WERE JUDY HOPPS and missed the entire fucking point of the exchange and how it helped Judy become a better person in the end.
This is the kind of writing that comes from a person who thinks that if a retort is just worded well enough it'll cut through everything else and be scathing and insightful and you'll never actually have to change, because it's not as though Judy was at fault in any way!
>>
>>8282850
>>8283170

i was going to say something similar. Doesn't seem like Judy at all. Sounds like someone who is obsessed with her to the point of making her incapable of wrong doing, but if Judy doesn't have all these speciest moments, and it turns out nothing was her fault, she doesn't get to grow as a character by the end of the movie.

Let Judy grow as a character.
>>
>>8283153
That's my point exactly. A lot of us have very varied political opinions and you'd be surprised how diverse this place is (and the more magical it is how we generally manage to get along), but most of us adhere to unspoken rules of courtesy to keep the place neutral.
I really cannot imagine someone going full NW (no matter of their convictions), without getting shot down in an instant.

On non-political stuff, anons exchange ideas freely and for contributors what they create is an organic extension of their efforts as in if someone likes particular ship, they'll draw/write/compose as song about it, which is something everyone can enjoy or discuss, so the entire point of complaining someone hamfisting their views because they did X is kind of moot the way I see it.

>>8283225
It's a line. Cloven hooves have obvious "toes" that don't fit together like a regular hoof.
>>
>>8283215

How is this even remotely similar?

In one, you're talking about facial features, anatomy, hybridization, etc

In the other, the creator gave her horsehands so she could actually believably be a doctor.

You either have hoof hands, say there's cartoon logic with singular hooves that allows them to manipulate things, or you say they can't have cartoon logic OR hands.

But then you're basically saying horses simply can't work any job or do anything in Zootopia because they have zero manual dexterity, like someone who lost both arms to a car bomb.

But it really does not look like it. Horses have no line like that on hoofs, this looks closer to cow hoof. Even if the split is supposed to be light reflection it just seems confusing. This even in shape does not look like horse monohoof.

>>8283286

...which part of this ignores the movie?

I think the only horse I can remember holding something was holding a cellphone, like it was glued to his hoof. That's cartoon logic. I personally think that might be the better option, because then you can just gloss over how they operate things and just say that they do.

Get too into detail and you can't suspend disbelief anymore.
>>

But anon, Zootopia is social commentary about the White Patriarchy keeping women and people of color down.
By the way, did you know Judy is pansexual?
>>
>>8283308
I hate to break this to you but people don't think Max Midnight is stupid because he "breaks the rules the movie sets down".

They think he's stupid because his design is shit, he's got a yaranaika face, he's a typically badly-written mary sue with a MYSTERIOUS DARK PAST, canon characters fawn over him, and he's stolen the spotlight of the narrative he appears in.

Him being a half-breed in a setting that hasn't confirmed them isn't even in his top five problems.

Yes it was super poor. Almost to the point of retardation, As the original poster showed me that green is a snippet of their fight from "A Quiet Chaos" http://archiveofourown.org/works/9855623/chapters/22114985

It's a super "Dark Comedy" which jumps right after what you could ever consider what a Dark Comedy to be. And just becomes GrimDark, THEN becomes GrimDerp, like Death Becomes You are something like it.

Judy has killed like 19 people, she enjoys being beaten by other's as a form of stress relief. Mr. Big has corrupted her to the point that she is pretty much an enforcer and everyone is super fucking miserable.
And they are pretty much pushing each other away to get more "abloo abloo I am sad" Yet the author calls them a power couple and shit.

It's so laughable edgy, I am bleeding from my keyboard typing this out.

>>
>>8283033
As I mentioned here >>8283103 the author doesn't blame Nick for feeling angry and hurt during the press conference, but also thinks Nick's feint attack was unwarranted, as well as Nick's response to Judy's reaction.

>Nick did call her a bunch of shit (pretend investigation, fake cop, etc), but she wanting to justify her as a saint is retarded.

In the same chapter, Judy does admit that she was "a prejudiced piece of garbage", so it is less giving justification to her actions and more giving reasoning.

>>8283170
>>8283196
>Doesn't seem like Judy at all. Sounds like someone who is obsessed with her to the point of making her incapable of wrong doing, but if Judy doesn't have all these speciest moments, and it turns out nothing was her fault, she doesn't get to grow as a character by the end of the movie.

The author isn't trying to say that Judy did no wrong, that nothing was her own fault. They are trying to give reasoning to that specific moment where Judy prepares to pull out the spray.
Admittedly, they also ignore a lot of things too, pointed out by >>8283173 where her pulling it out was very conscious, even if she might have been seeing more Gideon than Nick at that very moment.

I thought I would bring up that snippet from the story because sometimes people get a little too into "Judy was completely at fault"- yes, she fucked up. She fucked up HARD in almost every single way at the press conference, and even pulling the spray was her fucking up. But Nick didn't help the situation at the end with the feint attack; it showed that Judy didn't completely trust Nick, and that is kind of the point of it. She didn't trust Nick, so it is understandable why Nick was hurt by everything Judy said and did, but it also gives reasoning that if Judy didn't trust Nick, that is why she was prepared to pull out the spray as well.

I will admit the story itself is meh, and the characters are very OOC, but that part struck out at me.
>>

Talking seriously here for a second: It bugs me that some people actually see it this way. The smartphones played such a small movie in the movie, but people get instantly triggered by incorporating contemporary culture and even tech into a movie because it seems like shallow pandering when that's just what life is now. Here we are on our smartphones on a meme board, but so many people here would hate to see characters on their smartphones on a meme board because, I don't know, something about normies.

>>8283173
This is 101% valid and reasonable comment.

The thing is, the actual living character/people never think rationally and our brains are wired in a way to alter memories to makes us feel better about ourselves, so Judy losing her temper and spewing out something like this isn't within the realm of impossibility - because as far as she's concerned, this is what she remembers.

That doesn't make her right, but the sentiment is still there. Likewise, Nick could retort with something as emotional and subjective and bam! we've got ourselves an argument.

Of course, it's clear after the bridge scene Judy's remorse and Nick's forgiveness was genuine, but if we consider a "bad end" AU you'll have to agree her tirade does sound very much in character.

But Nick had no reason to help the situation, she literally went on a pedestal to shit on him, then went to his face to say she wasn't wrong.

Why are you acting like Nick had any reason to want to work with Judy after that? She didn't say "You're right, I have to fix this.", she said "I'm just stating the facts" and "You're not like them". Nick also had just 3 days to trust her, and he did, this someone who already keeps away from others and lives by "don't let them see through you". 3 days of just doing paperwork is one thing, 3 days of trusting your life to the other is something else entirely.

I don't know what I'm getting wrong, I'm assuming people want WildeHopps hard from both sides and are putting responsibility on "Whose fault it was for Fox not smooching Bun?".

Also, don't bleed out anon. We need you.

>>8283419
>Why are you acting like Nick had any reason to want to work with Judy after that?

I am not saying that Nick had any reason to want to be even civil with Judy after all the shit she said, but just that pretending to lunge at her brought out her natural reaction.
Once again, Nick's anger and hurt are completely justified, I am not arguing that at all. Hell, his feint attack at her, "coming at her" with his claws to make a point is understandable, even if to a degree I think he should have just left after asking her if she was afraid of him, as it was clear she had no answer. But at the same time, Judy's reaction is understandable too, as she didn't trust Nick. She saw Nick as a threat, even if she might have seen more Gideon than Nick, because she still had that fear in her.

>>8283472
Perhaps it is a big stretch to call it a feint but, from Judy's POV, it would seem like an actual attack when tensions start rising. She already had this fear of foxes, predators are going savage and she believes it is part of their biology, and Nick is slamming into her that he is just as much as a predator as the rest of them. Add in that the stance is very similar to Gideon, and her reaction is going to be to open the case to her spray.
This doesn't justify anything she did or said, and proves she didn't trust Nick, but I can understand why it happened. Even Judy knew she screwed up at that moment once she realized what she just did, though she didn't understand the extent of her prejudice at the time.
>>
>>8283517

I just laughed when I read that, that was the ONLY interaction Nick and Judy had in that entire piece. Everything else was just in passing talked about, like she wouldn't start to wonder why the fuck Nick doesn't want to be around her or anything?

Just felt like they really wanted Nick to be gay at the end of it, and wanted Nick to hurt and be miserable because of her.
And fucking "imprinting" reminds of that laughable bad fanfic about a Lesbian Judy and her girlfriend that was an absolute cunt to him, yet Judy was fine with staying with her even though the girl hated him to death.

I am so glad it finally died off. But the entire "imprinting" thing is so poorly done like he can't even do anything unless Judy tells him it's okay to? Really?

You've got an extremely simple style, but it's one you've completely mastered. You know how to wring the most emotional resonance out of minimalist lines.

It's only possible because of its unique optical image stabilization, ƒ/1.8 aperture, Quad-LED True Tone flash, And the 12MP camera captures high-resolution video up to 4K! okay, i may have been exagerating when i said 5 mins. but when the food's right in front of you and you just want to eat, it feels like that.

guess i'm just the type of person who doesn't like posing for pictures. candid shots are better, in my opinion

7/10, the screenshot is great, just need some ad slogans slapped on top of it and a catchy phrase.

"Never miss a beat"?

"Become the hunter - capture the moment"?

Its a lot of little things.
Seeing that you have a lot of followers on Instagram actually means a lot to people in the entertainment industry.
Usually you follow anyone you hire because its a direct means of contacting them, so seeing pictures they post, even if its food, puts you in their mind, and that brief moment of "Oh yeah, I need a dancer for X event, I guess I should contact him" could mean a gig.
People might go to where you had that food, and they'll be thinking of you. They might contact you and say "I ate there, it was good!" and that's a conversation starter that can lead to work.
As a dancer, you need to constantly be looking for work, accruing a fanbase, making connections, and keeping them. Taking a selfie with a hot dog takes less than a minute and has measurable net benefits.
Maybe not taking a selfie with a hot dog will make you seem less annoying and pretentious to people who think that matters, but you'd be a very, very rare asshole if you only hired dancers or entertainers for gigs based on whether you find their social media profiles palatable to your sensibilities.

Yeah, it is the usual "Oh abloo abloo fox can't have his bun", only add it the weirdly even more prejudice Judy. It is one thing not to be interested in that type of relationship, it is another to be digusted by it, and I would think Judy would have a more open mind than that. It would have been funny to have some type of conversation between them where Nick admits to dating other species, and if Judy shows disdain for it, Nick could just go "it is not directly affecting you, is it now?"

I've never like the whole "imprinting" thing, or the mate for life thing. It seems almost fantasy-like, as if it is this some magical bond between two people's souls when the universe is just a modern civilization of animals.

They are, but you feel like a creeper doing it candid. Still I love them and I'm still upset that I lost the one of myself along with so many others when I lost my phone. Just take pictures people.

I always assumed mates for life was something like constantly smelling/seeing/etc someone made you "bound" to them. Less of a psychological thing and more of a physiological thing.

That said I hate the idea aswell. There are a lot of things this fandom does and tries to put on Nick and Judy relationship that I feel cheapen it by a lot.

>I always assumed mates for life was something like constantly smelling/seeing/etc someone made you "bound" to them.

It was ever played like this, maybe it could be interesting, but it rarely is. It either just happens due to emotional attachment, or "well, we fucked, I am now bonded to you for the rest of my days."

Past that, the whole mates for life thing I feel just ruins the idea of a relationship to me. Perhaps, on some level, it is romantic to attach yourself to someone knowing you literally can't leave them. However, I think it is more romantic if you make the conscious effort of being loyal and staying with your partner without having this bond thing that makes it so you can't stop thinking about them, especially when they make it on Nick's side only and give Judy all the power. Hell, it is annoying when it is done when both of them have the condition.
