In my experience holding onto a lucid dream is like trying to balance a pin. If you try to hard to influence the dream you wake up, but if you don't try hard enough you forget you're dreaming and it turns into just another dream. I've also had lucid dreams where I thought I had woken up and given up on influencing events, but it ends up I'm still dreaming. It's like my short-term memory is really fucked up while dreaming so I can barely form up a plan before I get distracted.

I've had this happen. I attempt to fug a grill and immediately lose control as some wierd dream shit happens like she starts floating away or something like that.
