I'm disappointed we didn't get more that dove into Mae's mind. I know it's a little pretentious, but having like 5 dreams and only one of them say anything at all about the character was a lost opportunity.

I wonder if the stress of the party and drinking is what helped open Mae up to the influence of the eldritch shit in town by putting her back into complete breakdown mode again. The dream is basically a weird combination of what went on at college and what she did to the kid the first time she completely lost it.

it's cozy, and cute. the gameplay is rather simple, hanging out with your friends is fun, and there's a hidden mystery underlying all the weird shit going on in town.

the writing is it's weakest point, with some pieces of dialogue being cringeworthy and the actual mystery behind possum springs not being wrapped up in the neatest of ways, but if you want a game you can sink a good 12 hours in with character interaction and exploration and start to feel attached to some fictional animals, then it's good.
