The game is fun, it really depends on what you enjoy. It's a lot of exploration and dialogue between characters and not much in terms of actual gameplay. It's cozy, spooky, and a bit cringe-worthy at times since the dialogue isn't always perfect, but I'm enjoying it and loving the characters.

Threads on /v/ constantly devolve into shitposting because the game is not much of a game as it is an interactive story and because some of the people behind the game express views that not everyone on there agrees with. They mostly reference a really strawman-y video the lead artist/guy behind the game made back four years ago.

Putting that aside, the game is fun, the characters are cute when the writing isn't cringe-y, the music is great, and you might get feels/spooks from it. Don't know if it's worth twenty dollars to you, it was to me, but yeah.

Did anyone notice any missing pedestrians during the epilogue? After the cult got caved in I expected this big twist when you went on your final runthrough of the town where you'd see people just missing from the spot they'd been in all game and the implication would be that they ended up being part of the cult and were down there starving or jumping into the pit or whatever, but no one seemed to be gone or even notice that a ton of people just didn't come home last night

The only bad part of the game, the whole cult out nowhere thing seemed so out of place, the ending felt very "wrong" I guess? Don't know how to explain it, the last chapter is just a bunch of shit for no reason or explanation and Mae going from I'm dying to jumping all around after talking to a puddle between a loading screen.
