Since the game is really underfunded on Kickstarter right, I'm awfully tempted to upgrade my pledge to put a character in the game since there are still so many slots open for that and I am too ashamed of myself to own sexy a body pillow slipcover. If the game actually gets funded then I'll be $100 poorer, but at this point it's basically like placing a $100 bet on whether or not the game gets funded since its odds aren't looking so great right now.

If I actually go for it, the character I add will probably be one of the least autistic looking backer characters. She's actually a character from my own game project which I haven't announced (I'm bracing myself for /agdg/'s reaction when I've got enough progress to announce it though).

I actually like this idea. It sounds like he wants to have some actually gameplay elements instead of just being another visual novel. Most "dating sims" completely miss out on the sim part. As long as it doesn't reach The Sims level of agonizing micromanagement I am intrigued. The more sensible approach is to make one's interest known up front so that any further interaction will not be misinterpreted, and if rejection is coming it's best to get it out of the way before either party's time or money can be wasted further, and the person initiating can move on to their next prospect instead of getting heartbroken over a relationship that only existed in their imagination.

It's plausible deniability. In their head, many of them justify taking advantage of their orbiters by saying in their head "they should have said something up front" even if they know the orbiter is trying to buy their affection. Generally, the OCs that are Sergals are pretty cringey. Usually the backstory is some horrible edge fest about dead parents and how the character is very good at being a Final Fantasy Dragoon.

Depends on what you mean by previous project. How This All Happened actually has done pretty well by his own standards and the Patreon drip feed is going for him. It's certainly been more successful than WFP.

It's interesting actually, initially STDWL was going to be a movie and sequel to HTAH but it was going to be longer and with no porn. Apparently Kabangeh is a giant RomCom fan and he wanted to make a Rom Com movie. Perhaps he likes that tickling sensation in your chest with this stuff.

At that time Humble Bundle had a sale on Game Maker Studio and he decided to make the sequel movie into a game. It was actually abit more than a whim decision as he had experience in GM prior with work on the occasional gamejam and had helped certain popular furfaggots by making 3D models for their own game projects. Ultimately though he thought it would be cheaper.

I can understand why mocap data would be hard to get for a scene like that. Mocap works by reflecting IR light off of those little nubs on the mocap suits so that the IR cameras can see them. If you have a bunch of people in a big pile there's going to be a lot of reflectors that the cameras can't see. End result is a fairly anti-climactic scene with only one real pose.

Keep in mind he likely contacted at first through regular emails. Dragoneer and FA finally get to work two weeks after the ad was purchased. That's not too bad until you consider that means the Kickstarter is halfway over by this time. Also in the early versions of the demo the rat guy appears sometimes. Also of note the first few demos when 'Neil' is visible is more recycled assests from when the game was going to be a movie. As he developed it I think he ditched the poor rendered screens. He gets removed later as I think the dev wants the player's character to be more up to the player's imagination.

I think Kabangeh needs to work on what his male furries should look like. The obvious masculine traits of a bigger jaw and face, when put in this way, makes them look like mascots.

Of course, the current demo might not be canon at all so we don't really know, but assuming your character starts out unattached and you gradually build up relationships with the girls until you go for one of them, it wouldn't make sense for May to have a boyfriend at the start unless you actually have to swoop her away. That could be the case, although some might argue that getting a girl out of a relationship so that you can have her isn't gentleman-like. Either her and Neil are done / "on a break" at the start, or you will have to break them up if you want May.

If the character is Guy then that means Autumn will probably be the on-and-off ex (currently off) who you had a thing with in the past but it was very tepid and you never went official with it. She would basically be the one that got away, and your relationship would involve building things back up with her and trying to go all the way-- whatever the game's idea of all the way is (moving in? engagement? marriage?).

No idea what Arlene's relationship to the player character (assuming it's Guy) will be at the start, since her an Guy just hooked up as a one-night stand in the movie and she coincidentally was May's room mate. Lucia is an unknown quantity.

Like I said before the whole demo might not be canon so this is all pure speculation. For all I know maybe the player character in the final game is supposed to be Neil, although from the current demo I am led to believe that you're either meant to be controlling Guy or some new unidentified character whose history with the girls is vague.

My favorite scene was actually the Autumn bedroom scene. The 5 way was a disappointment and pretty terrible. Fair review overall.

I would have gladly traded the 5-way scene for a solo scene with May, since Autumn and Arlene each got one. Not sure what kind of scene it would be, though. Maybe playing video games while naked?

I think the Autumn bedroom scene could have used another position. Given how the five-way ends that scene it's like the movie was cut early.

Would be cool if he reached 20k because I liked the girls' voices in the movie. Especially Autumn, hot damn does she make me diamonds. Realistically speaking though I'll be happy if the game actually gets funded. It's going to need a big final stretch surge because it certainly didn't get one at the start.

Steam Greenlight doesn't give you any money, it just means your game can be sold on Steam. Without the Kickstarter he's going to have to slave away with funding and probably cut back on features / content, so hopefully it gets some attention before time runs out.
