Because by that point it's canon, a thing that actually takes place in the real show.

And it opens some seriously lewd opportunities if the hypnotizer happens to have a dirty mind.

Hypnosis is only a small fetish of mine, but whenever it happens to a female character I always end up imagining how I could abuse it sexually.

It sucks there's no more good mind controllers in comics nowadays. Purple Man is just Rape Ape and Mandrill is too problematic to be used.

Well, it wasn't focused on women of course, but for a little while they were building to something like this with Hydra supposedly having brainwashed sleeper agents among the heroes.

Of course they did this just as the SHIELD tv show was doing plots about sleeper agents, and just sort of dropped it in favor of the next crossover event about as quickly.

It's because the feeling of forbidden taste in canon storytelling. You know the writers can explore further story that pretty much venture to M rating or even AO rating but they hold their reign tight.

The Kim possible mind control story for example is borderline sexual by turning both Kim and Shego as Drakken's servants. And the fact that the girls remember everything when they are hypnotized make it even hotter. Imagine Drakken fucking both girls while Shego mind went berserk while Kim got confused and scared because she's not experienced in sex.

What if there's superheroine that gained her power from hypnotization? Like she's just a normal woman but she got hypnotized by someone that make her believe that she got superpowers. The problem is the normal girl never know about her alter ego deeds but confused with mounting amount of injuries she got.
