As for a pose maybe having one foot on the ground with the other's being lifted up, just to show how tightly the flip-flop is wedged on there.
Expression is up to you, but I think it'd be fun if she were acting playful but somewhat embrassed about showing it off, with a QT blush and all that.

I use a binary/aliased brush, which means everything is either 100% opaque or 100% transparent, one or the other. Notice the pixels, It's basically the mspaint effect.
