In lieu of a game, please enjoy the following sad waifu with the palate of a c16 or something I think
>>7059945
On my cost.
As long as nobody tells me what exactly is wrong, I don't know what to fix. I came up with an analogy.
Imagine your buddy which has the same car as you calls you and says "My car doesn't work, fix it". Yeah you have the same car but it works just fine for you. You even know exactly how it works. But how are you supposed to know what is wrong with his car if he only says "it doesn't work"?
I'll quote you here
>Just doesn't function. The script ends up hitting a dam, welling up, crashing the script itself, and proceeds to crash the webpage, proceeding to crash windows.
Completely useless information. It could be anything from that description. And since I know how it works, I can only tell you that there's no reason the script would crash your computer, so it must be something unrelated to the script. Like maybe you have a broken leg and that's why the car doesn't work.
Sounds to me like you're trying to play it off now, but it's okay, I'll play along and there's no need for you to respond to this anymore.
>Mfw check the thread for the first time today before bed just in time to see Aikawa wrecking the technically challenged and illiterate

>>7059975
All I can really tell you mate for the TL:DR I got from it.
>I can't fix what I don't know is broken, you aren't helping by saying general things
It'll launch the screenshot tool, reach the end and then stop. The script wont, but the screenshot tool will. If you use the tool separate from the script it works fine. If you use it with the script it gives you the text "Capturing" and doesn't proceed. The script will then say it could not find the screenshot tool that it launched, and redirect you to download the screenshot tool.
If you tell it to screenshot again afterwards it won't respond at all.
That's all I can tell you.

alt, left, enter works for you?
Well Autocropper does in THIS case exactly the same. You can see in the picture that it emulates your keyboard and sends alt, left and enter. With a short delay between, just to make sure even old computers can keep up.
Now why does the add-on open a new tab if you hit the keys manually, when autocropper simulates the same and then it does not appear?
There are some more tests we can make to determine the cause, but it would require you to download additional files for testing purposes, and prefferably use teamviewer so I can see the results without hassle and determine the cause.
It says it couldn't find it, because it keeps checking every 100 milliseconds whether the new tab is open yet, but if after 20 seconds it's still not there, I made it cancel and display the message instead, telling you it couldn't be found.

A true lasting peace in the world is a world with much weed and very few responsibilities... and automated vehicles. That's a must.
>>7060284
So it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't? That would have been good to know from the beginning. That way we could conclude whether it's some kind of incompatibility (happens every time), or not. If it's not, it is usually influence from something else.
I'll tell you this, Autocropper will perform exactly the same every time you run it. It's not organic or a living being and it does not rewrite its own code, it will be the exact same bits every time you run it. There is no randomness involved, so it should always produce the same result. What is NOT always the same is the environment you run it in. That means if it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, there is a change, but the only thing that CAN change is the environment it runs in, your computer. Your browser, your other programs, your computer's performance, your language settings, your other program's versions, whatever else. The problem does not happen to me, ever, and we run the exact same program, so the problem can only be related to your computer.
And I do not possess your computer, so I can not test what's wrong.
It looks however that the add-on is not working correctly. I didn't make the add-on and don't know how it works. I merely press the button to activate it, and then wait until it's done. Autocropper should not interfere with the program.
Will you be willing to run an exe for a quick test and tell me the results?

That's odd, I'll tell you why,

>Works, tab found brought up each time.
This was exactly the same code as in the autocropper. Why does it work every time now?
>>Ctrl+2:
>Works
>>Ctrl+3:
>Did not work first attempt, work second and third.
Those were actually the exact same, so I guess it worked 5 out of 6 times. In this one I tried a different way to emulate the keystrokes.
>>Ctrl+4:
>Did not work until fifth attempt, have not gotten it to respond again.
This is the same as the code from the autocropper, just with the delay between the keys removed (they get hit instantly, right after each other) and without checking whether the new tab is there.
>>Ctrl+1:
>No response first two attemps, third attempt worked.
This is the same code as in autocropper, just without checking whether the new tab is there or not.
Conclusion:
It looks like the different sending method of keystrokes works better, but it's a small sample size. It also looks like the removal of delay between the keys had a very negative effect.
Based on the above I made a new exe with longer delays, please check Ctrl+1 up to Ctrl+4.

>Ctrl+1:
Worked each time, assuming you removed the delay between button presses to be simultaneously. .
>Ctrl+4:
Didn't work the first time repeating the same process as Ctrl+1, didn't work the second time pressing ctrl then 4 with a slight delay, worked the third time hitting ctrl then immediately afterwards 4, fourth attempt to test the difference between attempt 2 and 3 ended up a failure repeated 3 times until it worked again.

>>7060674
with Ctrl+1 up to Ctrl+4 I meant 2 and 3 too,
Just to make sure you don't misunderstand Ctrl+3 and ctrl+4: They are very slow. Half a second delay after each command. Just hit Ctrl+3/4 one time and then wait about 2 seconds.

Alright, so it works better for you if you use a higher delay. Why? I don't know because it shouldn't influence the add-on. You say the add-on gets started in any cases. Why does the add-on stop working when you hit the keys to start it too quickly?
The delay is usually used when your computer is very slow, but even in its current state it works fine on my 8 year old laptop on power saving mode (aka slow as fuck).
It makes no sense, but I can increase the delay anyways. From 10ms to 40ms is barely noticable for a user, and that is the change I did to Ctrl+1.
Try this Autocropper version with the above changes: https://s.put.re/XtJ9bUC.exe
