A good 90% of voreaphiles only enjoy the swallowing/belly parts. It's always idealized and made in a way that nobody gets hurt.

Almost nobody likes vore as something gruesome or painful.

Think of it like something more common: anal sex. For me it depends on the role of the pred. In the Last guardian video game, there is a part where the gryphon goes berzerk and eats the player, a little boy.
