Souls have the potential to be endless sources of energy and power, it is just that when demons start burning them up and using them, they are not very efficient at doing so. The higher grade and more powerful the demon, the more power they can use from a single soul before it burns up.

I have to write up things about imps and other creatures that dwell in hell later on, but for now.
Imps are like some strange combination of consistent breeding that is constantly mutating into different things. They are as intelligent as any normal human being, but mostly cause mischief and laze around. They can be goaded into preforming tasks by a demon, determined human, or generally anything that is bigger and stronger then them. They make good familiars.

Demons: demons come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes from small to big and wide to thin. Sometimes even taking abstract forms.
Their powers are almost always unique and typically linked to a sin, sometimes multiple sins. An example would be a Demon of Gluttony being able to eat an infinite amount of anything they could fit in their mouth.
Demons and other demonic creatures are vastly more powerful in the underworld, but are weakened in the material world. If summoned into the material world, only the summoner can see them.
