The most 60s thing about the show was Kitty's outfit, her concept art outfit looked even more like something a woman would wear in the 1960s. If everyone else dressed in 60s fashion it would have given the show some much needed uniformity.

Butch Hartman hastily pitched the show as "Get Smart with animals" so it makes you wonder why he didn't just make the show an all out parody of Get Smart and the 60s spy fiction genre.

As its been said before the show was a throwaway idea from '06 that Butch had to revive after Nick shot down his other series pitch and just so happened to like the sketch he set aside.
The reason why the concept art looks like it had more care and character is probably because the artists and writers thought the show was going to be the next big show for Nick. I imagine Butch shot that ambition down.
You'd think that they'd at least try to make the final episode something special though.
All the show has now is porn which isn't a bad thing but it's a little sad to see a show die before it even got off the ground.

honestly the entire idea is such a standard cliche that the fact alone that the show didn't go for that low hanging fruit makes it feel weird.

I'll say it's a 50/50 or a 45/55, since the daughter's height can come from her father's side and her father can be short for a man as well as the daughter having a diet that promotes tallness from birth to adulthood and vice versa for the mother.
