I still play the game, RS3 that is. Honestly with both games I don't agree with a lot of recent updates, but RS3 has more quests that I personally enjoy compared to the prevalence of boss releases lately. And yeah, it does get tedious. I distract myself by looking at other stuff while skilling.

That was the original anti-bot strategy, but over time that's changed. Honestly I give Jagex where credit's due, the number of bots in RS3 is the least I've seen in any MMO. Sadly others don't practice the same high standard of gameplay and let world chat bots run rampant. Hell even gameplay bots that will level someone to max level in FFXIV exist. How those aren't detected I have no idea.

It an item that gives you the head of a dragon at the cost of sacrificing your helmet armor slot. It also allows you to breath fire, but the fire only reaches about half the length of your arm in front of you, so its basically pointless.

There is a body stone too, but thats where they botched it. They basically made the head, said good enough, then copy pasted a zombie body and colored it the head color.

I can't really complain though since I played Morrowind and then went to Skyrim. I liked all the other details you could get into though.

I only played skyrim for like 50 hours, but besides the occasional waterfall and streams there was no reason to really go swimming, unless you went looking for stuff off the northern coast. Unlike Oblivion and Morrowind, there weren't too many reasons to even consider under water breathing. I literally only remember one instance of it being extremely helpful, and that was because there was some half-flooded prison that had treasure maps, and other neat shit.

Functionally, a lack of underwater in Skyrim to make use of the free water-breathing seems to be more of a legacy holdover. I'm more referring to how they had fins and shit in past games but interestingly lack the option for them in this game.

I think they fucked up more chances to use underwater segments more because only Slaughterfish seem to be the only thing capable of attacking underwater in the entire fucking game. You and other NPCs can't even attack underwater anymore, and they can't chase you underwater. You need a mod for that, one that edits the race records as such.

At worst I'd expect them to be exclusively NPCs and any game featuring even a fraction of Black Marsh to have the province massively castrated in some form. Like having the majority of its NPCs being non-Argonians.

Seeing as it's their only original bone in their body, I'd imagine the devs at Beth probably like working on TES more than Fallout so maybe there's some hope of them not fucking up the playable race roster despite having a rather lazy work ethic. I don't think Argonians are exactly that uncommon of a race pick.

Honestly, i prefer Morrowind Argonians because of their deficiencies. Not all armor is made for them and they have a low personality stat, meaning most people dont think highly of them. Not surprising since they are commonly s;aves on the island of Vvardenfell, i think it makes the lore of the setting that much more interesting when it affects the gameplay as such

In Morrowind, Personality is the governing attribute of Speechcraft, mercantile, and Illusion. Argonians have the second lowest base Personality (Lowest is orc at M:30 F:25). From a purely physical standpoint, it is indicative of lower personal appeal to the natives to of the Island. When it comes to Illusion, that implies there is magic involved, which involves more than jsut personality alone, but Intelligence and wisdom as well. What this all means is that an argonian must put in more effort to be able to have good disposition. There could be more but I think it does reflect the lower class status of a beast race.

There are other methods of reflecting that as well, such as the inability to wear boots or full helmets. I dont think it would be too much of a stretch that there could exist armor that would fuit the more beast-like argonians of morrowind but its clear that the producers of armor on the island have no interest in filling in that niche.Why would the natives, whose culture treats slavery as an accepted and common practice, allow weapons that enslaved savages could use against them? There are slaves on plantations throughout the land and they are almost always an argonian or khajit.

The Argonians seem to get a lot of lore-love before skyrim. Ever since Morrowind I've played an Argonian named A Sad Lizard. Easily my favorite race and I lol'd hard when I read how shit went down for them during and after the Oblivion Crisis. I can't speak for conquest (though i've heard he is alright), he is definitely a good tank/support in the other modes for smite.

I like picking him in arena because, scaly aside, he is incredibly tanky but capable of dealing some decent damage, especially in dragon form. He also has a ranged stun, which helps set up gank kills tremendously.

I remember trying to go through a lewd playthrough and posted progress here, but got frustrated due to stability issues. Updating mods constantly is one thing, having to put up with all kinds of bullshit during the actual gameplay is another and it doesn't help that Sexlab and DD tax the scripting engine so much. Start combat in the wilderness, suddenly there's stutters fucking everywhere and a rape event happens because of it.

I swear there's something I'm missing about optimizing TES because there appears to be people running those, SD+, and even Frostfall at the same time among all the other fluff those mods are complimented with just fine apparently.

To be fair, the game without mods still ran fairly okay at launch. Mods complicate things a lot and unfortunately the Papyrus scripting engine proved to be rather fragile, and the very last update fucked over the heap size from what was probably a side-effect from Beth trying to make the PS3 port playable and so modders had to fix that so we don't get that fucking infinite loading screen.

Supposedly the game does mirror textures into both the VRAM and RAM for some reason though, and that's no good. I'll still take it over Oblivion running on a mere one CPU core however.

ENB isn't really the grim reaper of FPS as it was made out to be in the early years. I guess you can run some more intense presets though.

Supposedly every plugin will need to be rebuilt for this Special Edition, on top of SKSE needing ported over. Something tells me modding could likely end up being fucked by another means and that the requirements will probably be a lot steeper for no good reason like with Gearbox's terrible DN3D re-release, but who knows.

Been there, done that. Don't get me wrong, the astora is a great weapon. I would rate it top ten for best weapons to invade with. However, in the dueling scene, where I hang out more (since 4man ganksquads get old) the astora falls apart against reactive players using fast weapons (carthus fag sword). At high skill levels, people wont try to trade with you, they only go for recovery punish or windup punish.

Ds3 pvp is shit because they made rolling op. You can roll 12 times in one stamina bar, where in ds2 you could only do it 4 times. You can cancel a roll animation with another roll, so chain rolls are actually immune for all but perhaps 1-2 frames and unpunishable since there is no forced recovery. Rolls in 3 at 69.9% capacity also have the same i-frames as the darkwood grain ring cartwheels in ds1 (which required a whole ringslot to even achieve, of which you had only two). That combined with no poise really cuts down the weapons into two categories of viability in pvp: ones that can rollcatch (straightswords and curved swords), and ones that can hypertrade the best (halberds, great axes, ultra greatswords, greathammers). The best setup is to run one in each hand, and utilize whichever punishes your opponent at that moment, either fast jab or a hypertrade. While you can still kill with other weapons, unlike in ds1-2, but any of the weapons not listed usually require somebody to make a mistake in order to kill them, rather than just playing well like in the previous games.

tldr; fuck ds3 roll mechanics

Bitching about poor design aside, the most fun I ever had was on a dragon oneshot build with the great club. I used morian blade and red tearstone combined with the dragon roar to oneshot people with a charged r2. Normally people just roll r2's, but a lot fail against the great club because it has a really weird delayed lunging sweep to it. I oneshotted two phantoms and a host all at once one time, because they all rushed me together.

That pic is one of the few rare fanmade artworks of the Age of Fire series. That's the Copper (RuGaard), and his first mate Halaflora. Brilliant work saving that anon. I would highly recommend those books to anyone, especially /scaly/.

A human working as a dragon dentist is an interesting scenario.
As much as possible would be done from outside the dragon's mouth, of course, but really big fangs would require stepping inside. He'd obviously have something strong keeping him tethered outside the dragon - even for the ones who have only good intentions, an accidental swallow is a terrible thing to have to survive. Also some sort of a strong thing to prop the dragons' mouths open, in case the dragon isn't confident in their ability to stay open or in case he has to poke around sensitive bits and doesn't want to deal with a bite reflex.
Probably pays pretty well.

In my opinion, yes, easily my favorite book series. I would probably have to say the writing style of the books trumps everything else. E.E. Knight does pacing and presentation very well.

>Actual content and storyline
The books follow a family of newborn hatchling dragons, starting right at the day that they hatch. There are six books in total, and the first three are dedicated to each sibling and their early adventures in life, and the latter are where all of their stories begin to intertwine and the world and plotlines the story was building start to culminate.

I found the first three books especially refreshing, because they dont follow the typical "the world is ending, Sauronitorix the master-wizard-emperor of the dark side is going to take over the middle Earth, we have to stop them" trope. They simply follow each hatchling in their adventures and woes as they pursue their short term goals in life after a rough start. Things get ugly shortly after they hatch, but I won't spoil it.

The overarching themes of the books are chiefly friendship, Brain over Brawn, and bravery. The books also heavily emphasize on dragon to human/elf/dwarf/(other races) interaction, since the dragon protagonists are all sentient and speak, and the politics between them end up being major plot points.

The setting is similar to LOTR, with humans, dwarves, and elves all living in the same world. The technology is about the same as well, warfare is sword and shields, crossbows and catapults.

I don't have a degree in literature and I'm a sucker for fantasy, so take my recommendation with a small grain of salt though.

I explored this theme sorta in this "game" I made for a jam

If you brushed his eyes or gums he ate the toothbrush, and if he ate all 3 (including your tiny backup) you lost.

The idea was that the dragon let you restrain him so he didn't get too uppity. I was originally going to have him eat you if you failed or something. A mouth gag/prop would have been a fun fetishy idea.
