I've learned it's less about things being static and more about perspective. This might be because I've just recently gotten out of my depression stint, but having a positive outlook on life will change how you face your problems, instead of making them seem daunting and impossible to reach.

Of course you can't magically make that happen. You either have to try to push yourself out of the depression, seek help, or wait it out. It's painful, but it will go away, even if only temporarily. When it does though, make the most of it and get shit done!

said there are lots of different types of depression. I've experience what you have, and likely will again, and I'm clinically diagnosed.

I can't force you to change the way you feel, and all you can do is live with it or try to get out of it. Regardless, things will get better, even if you relapse. Hopefully if you do you'll be in a better place.

I have an exceptionally positive outlook on life! I'm pretty convinced my life is going to improve and the world isn't too bad. The parts of my situation I can't improve are my incurable brain problems. An abusive family and disability aren't helpful either.

I can't live independently. Or at least I don't have faith in myself, because disabled. My life is generally pretty easy, going to a nearby college and being coddled by my family. But that's it. I'm 21 and I can't stand alone in an arcade for 5 minutes. Or my family is convinced I'll be stabbed to death by blacks. In a rich area.

The core of this is not knowing how disabled I am. I was diagnosed, but not well. My family tends to underestimate my ability to do stuff, but they're not entirely wrong. I will never be as safe walking by myself as other people. All that fun stuff with going out places and getting in relationships can't happen. My life isn't set up for that, because it would take too much energy for my parents to feel okay with that. This isn't my life. It's theirs. I don't trust myself enough to take action, because they're not always incorrect.

The future could seriously be Ready Player One, and at least one of my parents does love me. I want to live. But wow, I am really fucking tired of this. It's not ending anytime soon.
