Why is /trash/ such a pleasant board?
because it's unlisted
and it's getting worse over time as more fuckboys get linked here
>>5423671
people cum and go

CARLOS I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD
It lost its charm months ago.
Furfags tarnished any shine it had. Not surprising since they leave nothing but diapers and shitsmeared trails in their wake everywhere they go.
Get lost, faggot
>>5426201
It was furfag territory since day one, don't kid yourself.
>>5426201
It''s the furfags that make this such a pleasant place.

Easy, OP.
The internet was a place where social outcasts and weirdos could gather, because the world was overrun with normal people.
4chan was a place where social outcasts and weirdos could gather when normal people started using the internet.
/trash/ is a place where social outcasts and weirdos can gather now that normal people are starting to use 4chan.
"Normal" doesn't mean "bad." Normal just means average, unremarkable, ordinary in every meaningful way. Normal fitness, normal intelligence, normal behavior, normal interests, normal emotions. For some of us, normal just becomes boring. We want a place where we can do weird or taboo things without being judged for it.
A place where we can jack off to grown men in suits pretending to be animal women, without being criticized for being aroused by something other than consentual sex in the missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation. A place where we can can get excited about cartoons, without being told we need to grow up and watch the latest talent idol show or football match. A place where we can tell sexist, racist, or perverted jokes, without eaves-droppers assuming we actually support or encourage the things we find funny. A place where we can get invested in what a random stranger is going to do with a jar of cum once it gets full, without being reminded that we're sick fucks.
Because, at the end of the day, we're ARE sick fucks, and we're okay with that. We've been around long enough to learn that we're not normal, but also long enough to learn to live in harmony alongside normal people as long as we have our outlet and haven.
/trash/ gives us a happy medium between not having to pretend to be normal members of society, and not having to sift through the ocean of angsty, edgy shit of kids discovering /b/ for the first time.
TL;DR:
Any community that gets its laughs by pretending to be idiots will eventually be flooded by actual idiots who mistakenly believe they are in good company.

Also:
Is it any coincidence that "We Are Not Your Kind of People" was produced by a band called Garbage; and eventually we found ourselves, the misfits of the misfits of the internet, on a board called Trash?
>>5426201
/trash/ was /fur/ from day one
>>5426201
I'd rather deal with the furfags here than the niggers lovers on /gif/. May as well rename /gif/ to /nc/: niggers and cucks.
>>5426201
HG threads are the true cancer on /trash/

I think I love you. I feel the exact same way about 4chan and /trash/. I loved 4chan back when it was more about "abnormal" people. /trash/ attracted those kind of people once 4chan started becoming more mainstream and known, and it feels like this board here is like being back in those times. I come back to this board to be reminded that what kept me coming back to 4chan is still somewhere here.
>>5441511
You put too much value into being "abnormal" but in general you're probably right about 4chan being flooded by "normality".
I wouldn't call anyone a "normie", everyone is different in some way, there are no completely "normal" people, but when you accumulate some kind of critical mass of population, you get the definition of normal. Most thematic boards became really fucking useless because enthusiasts no longer make up the majority of their population. It's much harder to get a good advice on art in /ic/ or on technology in /g/ because the average user posting there is most likely only mildly interested in those topics…
Wait, I think I'm getting too deep in glorifying a furry porn board.
people trying to escape from overmoderation. there is a reason why a large portion of this board is /co/ 2.0, that was one of the heaviest hit boards when it comes to moralfag mods like inspector manletwood sterilizing the content of the board. some other boards like /d/ were hit hard as well.
a few mods do occasionally come here and ban people, but its fewer and far between, like that neighborhood that even cops wont go into.

Relatively low population of weeaboos.
