Yeah before quite a lot of the existing LS plushies were made, and without checking I believe that's before both Agatrix and Neysa started doing them (at the time of commission). She was the only maker I found that would do a giant lewd one then, but I didn't have that google doc maker list I've seen posted here. It was a magical moment opening the box and I was very happy with how she turned out. She is bigger than me! Just like when you love a person or a friend even, you don't really see or mind the imperfections.

I have no problem with dropping 1k+ on a plush, but like you said, not for something of the quality BSP makes. The sewing is sloppy, the applique shit, uses markers when should be using applique, and the faces are fucked up as hell.

Will say though, I'm jealous as hell of how much they must rake in a year, cause they put no effort in to improving their pattern or construction, yet still have a shitload of people buying and can crank them out like a Chinese factory.

The only reason that anthro and human plushies get posted a lot is because there's actually a decent amount of content of them to post. If you contributed more of the type of plushie you want to see in the thread, that'd be more content of that type that other people would have to endlessly recycle in future threads.

I am having the hardest time learning to sew. I don't know where to start. Only thing I have succeeded in is scratching the surface on ladder stitching, I ladder stitched some holes closed on a plushie a lazy artist did not complete. I have a sewing machine but I am struggling to learn to use it. Time is a real problem. Stuck in a shit hole job, maintaining two houses, and other IRL crap. What little free time I have I spend playing games or sleeping with my life size plushies I already have.

I have been working on that LS anthro plush for over a year and I have a LS plush pattern on fabric that I haven't even started testing that one because of not having enough time

people nowadays have so many distractions and are very prone to them as well as procrastination

I love to go see movies, but that is at least 2 hours a week I could be working on my plush instead of sitting and doing nothing
I could do a few chores around the house a day instead of saving it all for the weekend when I have the most "free time" available

it's all about time management and while I understand this, I still sure as hell get distracted and know certain things come up that are out of my control and just have to roll with it best I can

as I mentioned earlier, the fear of failure is a big reason why I never finish my projects, and it's a damn habit that has been with me all my life and one that many of us have
I have been working on pushing through that fear for a while now, and even though it feels like a chore to do so right now, I'm glad to be doing it

the fact that I've been progressing (albeit slowly) and able to share that progress with these threads and even the little bit of encouragement that comes from you guys has been a huge help in keeping me moving forward
as they say, "The artist is their own worst critic"

This was what I was going to say this morning, I got rid of my video game consoles back in May because I found them to be too distracting. I also bought a small planner that I keep everything scheduled in, mostly just 8pm-6am "work" just having that written down keeps me in check and stops me from procrastinating.

I never really feared failure when it comes to plush making, because as I see it, it's just fabric until all the details are put together, so it can be taken apart and fixed if need be. What I fear most is making something and people not being interested in buying it.

I love seeing people's progress, it inspires me to push myself further.

not them, but to an extent they are generally right from what I know has been stated by plush makers
BSP has a below average quality considering how long they have been plush making
Their issue with BSP is mostly from barely improving their craft and the prices they charge for said quality
just by embroidering the eyes and CM (for ponies) would up their quality significantly

however, I still enjoy seeing new BSP plushies because it's a new plush and there is STILL a lot of work that goes into them
Tavi is a diamond in the rough and from what little I've seen of Vinyl, she seems to be pretty good quality, for a BSP plush that is

there is always room for improvement for an artist, but BSP doesn't seem to really do that unless the customer asks for something specifically

another reason why BSP is popular is because they turn out plushies relatively fast and aren't limited to ponies
BSP pretty much has the anthro plush market cornered
there are so few makers out there that do anthro because it's more complex (fingers, toes and humanoid faces)

BSP doesn't have the quality of work to justify the prices they charge

Not as much as I thought I would, like maybe 1cm off the middle where it meets the meet the neck. The breasts are one piece, but separate from the chest. Figuring is out was tricky as hell.

Commissioner wanted the leg design changed to a more feminine look with hooves, I plan to offer 3 leg styles though. She is also anatomically correct, you can really see it in the comparison shot of new to old body.

I would sew my nipples a little larger than their planned diameter.
