>Your eyes after looking around the room for something interesting to entertain yourself rest on Tomoko. She’s looking straight ahead, and a frown is planted on her face. Her eyes appear to be red.
>You decide not to say anything for now and turn your attention back to the teacher and wait for the period to end.
>Eventually the bell rings. You catch Brandon giving you a fed up look. He gives you a brief wave and then walks off briskly. As you watch him walk away, you hear the grunt of a chair beside you as Tomoko begins to walk off too, rather quickly.

What do you do?
1. Catch up to Brandon and talk to him.
2. Run over to Tomoko and ask what’s wrong
3. Do nothing, and walk home with Alyssa
4. Walk home by yourself.
5. Buy something for Tomoko and give it to her the next day.

I don't really know how these things work.

There were plenty of signs throughout the story that Alyssa had a thing for you and that Brandon was trying to get you together. You were told that shutting out your friends and blindly focusing on a girl you just met would lead to bad things.

Imagine finding out a girl that you like has no interest in you and is in love with your best friend. Even if she's not interested in you, she's still your friend though, and your best friend is obviously your best friend for a reason, so you're not a jerkass who'd be petty and try to ruin their chance at being happy. So you try to help them get together, only for your best friend to completely shut her down and make her feel like shit in favor of a girl that he met a few days ago and barely knows anything about. So not only are you not able to make the girl you like happy, but trying to set her up with the person who could've made her happy only made her feel even worse.

Imagine if Tomoko had no interest in you at all, but liked someone else. But then that someone else completely rejected her and she spent the next few days locked in her room crying. And in spite of that, she still liked the other guy who completely rejected her, and still had absolutely no interest in you, and was even helping the guy she liked get with somebody else because she at least wants him to be happy even if she can never be. And there was absolutely nothing you could do about any of it but watch it all happen.

I'd say that Brandon being upset is rather justified.

>After an afternoon of browsing the stores, you’re sitting down with Tomoko and Alyssa around a table, eating some WcDonalds. You watch Tomoko out of the corner of your eye, she hadn’t spoken in a while. Alyssa continues to have casual conversation with you.
>You intentionally create a gap in the conversation for Tomoko to say something, and you see her look at you and then immediately back at her food. All of a sudden, you hear a kid begin to whinge. His cries pierce the conversation you’re having with Alyssa, and at one point he interrupts you completely by screaming at the top of his lungs.
> “Jeez, he sure is cranky.” Alyssa mutters
> “Yeah…” Tomoko says “Don’t you just want to hit him in the head with a brick?”
>Alyssa stared blankly at her for a fraction and then laughed it off
> “Wow Tomoko, you’re so harsh!”. Tomoko began to laugh a little with her.
>Eventually, you decide to leave the food court and head home.
>Tomoko enquires about the route you’re going to take home, and mentions that her house is in a different direction.

What do you do?

1. Walk home by yourself
2. Tell Alyssa you want to walk Tomoko home and that you’ll speak to her later
3. Walk with Alyssa to accompany Tomoko home, and then go home with her after
4. Wave Tomoko off and walk home with Alyssa, and talk to Brandon afterwards

It's not even necessarily that. Our goal might be to get with Tomoko, but that doesn't mean that Tomoko's goal is to get with us. Rather, she would probably like to actually have friends instead of being alone, and we just keep pushing away everyone that she gets to talk to for more than 5 seconds. Tomoko got along with Alyssa pretty well, but we keep shoving her away so that she doesn't get in the way of our attempted romance, regardless of what Tomoko would actually want.

We are honestly a really shitty person to everyone we interact with.

Well i cant pin point it myself without beating around a bush but asuming the author TOLD us that our choices matter and seeing how this story could go anywhere on how light novels go we may get a bad ending
