Still, I think this thread is a bit hard on the guy. I think his problem is in part that this thread has lost it's luster over the years.

Skitter strikes me as the kind of artist that works best when he is collaborating with people that have simple and basic ideas that works with just about every diaperfag can get behind.

An oldfag like him is probably sick and tired of these threads and probably doesn't even want to try tried and true content.

Our best bet is probably just get behind any new artfag that has any potential. But, it would be really nice to see an old artfag or two pop up again and deliver .

I guess I don't have it saved on this computer, but Skitter has this very nice sequence where Big Mac is regressed into a baby and the CMC pawn him off on Cheerilee.

Skitter originally said there would be a part three, but then later in the thread said he couldn't come up with a finale and abandoned the idea. I still hold out hope that one day he'll finish it though.

I know I'm a minority but AR is my big personal weakness fetish and those images are great.

I think the image you're referring to was a style parody of Skitter, actually, and it was Cadence. Shining was in that picture but he was turned into a bottle. The deep irony of that is originally it caused almost an uproar and Skitter got upset because he was spammed with messages saying how horrible that was, and it only 'kind of' looked like his art. But wait, here's the payoff: later on he produces the now-infamous image where Twilight gets that treatment by Rainbow Dash.

So he came full circle. You might say that the original parody was prophetic.

I'm cool with bad ends when they come out of nowhere and have a really shocking effect on the reader. Skitter's problem is that he doesn't know how to draw them and they have become predictable.

Truth is that if you had asked me who did that 'style parody' when I made the post, I couldn't have even named lphooves because the guy is a literally who. And Skitter himself isn't that bad. He's just resistant to changing himself.

There's no reason to be hostile to the guy, just disappointed in him. He puts a lot of effort into producing whole comics of free work for everyone to enjoy but the writing is so bad and he doesn't understand why.

Well, to be fair to this anon, people have been pointing out exactly what is wrong with his executions, ideas and style for a few months now. Prior to that, people have been going well out of their way to point out obvious mistakes with his anatomy and faces and it took him over a year to figure that out, so it should be perfectly understandable why anons like to hate on him.

If what people have been saying here is true regarding him giving in to brown noser then it's probably likely that his clique are just a bunch of tumblrettes that refuse to point out his weak points, constantly tell him how great he is and are terrified to get on his bad side by hurting his feelings.

It's also possible that anons are just looking too much into this. Who knows, he might actually be taking the criticism to heart and is trying to fix it in his spare time. That latest AJ picture was actually quite good and he did some pretty good anon filly stuff not too long ago.

Well, I think he's gone back to his roots. He's using the visual medium to convey emotion rather than having the character announce: "Oh no I am shrinking" in a speech bubble.

Yeah, this was refreshing to see from him. It's almost like he is actually listening to critique.

My only two complaints here are the expressions he used could be tailored to fit the AR sequence rather than just have a generic expression. I also feel it would've helped if he zoomed in a bit for the last two sequences.
