The quasi bluth/didney style has visual appeal to other people or she wouldn't have become popular in the first place. It IS a fairly vanilla flavor though.

The packaged product feel is just what happens when the vast majority of an artist's output is no/simple background pin-ups. That kind of commission just has so little room to be different since there's typically very little for the character to interact with. I wish the incentive to do stuff that way wasn't so strong, but commissioners appear to favor the shotgun approach over paying a lot for a single piece. :/

So I looked it up and the owner of that shark is https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/artesia/ and from the looks of it they're the "doesn't draw, but displays all their commissions in their gallery and it's usually all focused on one character" type. Looking through their gallery I found that pic trinity drew. Now before anyone panics, the trinity pic says female, in fact, all of the art in their gallery labels her as female.
So I looked up the artist, "Mochi". As suspected a majority of their gallery is trapshit so either this went two ways

or

I haven't thought about personalities too much except that they're typical ditzy teens. As I draw more I'm sure more differences will arise, but the main ones are that Double is the most modest of the three, Blueberry is definitely the dumbest and most gullible, and Pink is actually a rich kid but she wears jeans she tore herself to fit in with the not-rich kids as best she can. They try to win over boys, but often get joked about because of their weight. If one does manage to get a date, she'll see if the other two have one, and if not, she'll dump the boy because she cares about her friends more. Unless a boy wants all three of them, that is.

Pretty much. People have things that they're into, and a lot of people have things that they decidedly are NOT into. When people try to force a "community" to be made out of a bunch of people who have to see things they don't like, they're likely to end up pissing everybody off.
