yeah.... it was all really, really, really fucked. /trash/ has become my home board, though I was extremely hesitant about ever touching it upon its inception (or, my discovering its having been conceived) because I know how prone I am to being disappointed by furries more than most other humans, since I expect so much from them (read: something period, as opposed to the human which I have no faith in,) but they have in my experience never, ever delivered. I just touched the board reluctantly when looking to fap, one day, and I'm stuck here, now.

I tend to get bullied a lot, even when I try to fit in. It's why a lot of people become furries. Human beings, especially children, are horrible to each other, so the more sensitive ones turn to fantasy (books, cartoons, even anime sometimes) to replace the meaningful human contact that they're unable to receive in reality. Monsters and anthros become more real to them than actual people, because actual people just cause them pain and misery. This carries over into their sexuality when they hit puberty as well; they're more comfortable with fantasy creatures than other people, so they become sexually attracted to those creatures instead of other humans.

It happened to me too. I was a wreck of a person for my entire teenage life, 13-14 into my 20s, living in fantasy books and video games. Nowadays I can interact with other people well enough, but they will never replace dragons and Pokemon in my heart.

Objectively the only thing that could be considered wrong on that level that you've hinted at believing or said you believe is that you're opposed to humans continuing to perpetuate their species, but that's only because you are a human. every time I have a dream about humans, I only consider the evil things they've done to me, or do period. Whenever I want to flat-out rant to someone about any given topic, I first have to go through mountains of hypothetical scenarios of their being "human enough", as I define it, to first not even let me finish, to flat-out reject what I said, to not even comprehend what I said, to beating me for my saying what I said.... many times I just get tired of conceiving all this mountains of abuse, so I just beat the human back, or bind them and mute them, or make the whole scenario devolve to a fight. it is really annoying. After all: even if you fail, at least you tried. You tried to fix humanity and failed, so there's no issue with letting them rot and stew in their ignorance. But if you don't try, if you don't do your absolute best, then no progress can be made and you'll be left sitting there wishing you could have done what you always wanted to do when you still had the chance.

The other parent of mine that was still alive died, so I had to learn how to cooperate with and interact with people in order to get a job to support myself. Understanding people well enough to be seen as a normal person means becoming one for the most part, and seeing the world through someone else's eyes makes it more difficult to hate their very existence.
