This is a good story. Not everyone in fluffyverse is a psycho, and some try to treat the fluffies as kindly as possible. Even when they have to kill them out of necessity. It makes the fluffies actual suffering seem more meaningful too.

I just got an idea for a comic/story if someone wants to do one:

Man walks into a fluffy shelter and sees an ugly, disfigured fluffy in one of the cages. He asks the worker how long the fluffy has been there, and hears that it's been months, as no one wants to adopt a fluffy that looks like it. The man agrees to adopt the fluffy, fills the paperwork, and walks out with the fluffy in his hands moved to tears from happiness. Outside the shelter, the fluffies happy babbling is cut off mid-sentence as the man snaps its neck, before gently laying the corpse into a trashcan. "Rest in peace little one, your troubles are now over." he says before walking away.

You know, thinking about all this, I wonder if a 'Sacrifices for the god' sort of story has been done before.

So, on one side, there are fluffies, obviously. They live out their lives in a lush environment, a shallow, clean pool of water to drink from that always seems to refill, plenty of grass and flowers and other plants to eat, warm days and nights, nothing too hot or too cold. They even have a place they can crap and not get sick from it. Basically, a sort of paradise for them.

The one caveat is that, once a month, or a couple months or whatever, they have to sacrifice a fluffy to the 'god' of the land. After the allotted time passes, they have to choose one fluffy that they will sacrifice to the god in order to keep in the god's favors, and stay living in such a paradise. So far, they've always had a sacrifice.

The other side, is the human who's garden/habitat/land/whatever they're living on. They don't know the human exists, thinking only of their mysterious benefactor as a 'god'. The human demands a sacrifice for whatever reason the human wants a sacrifice.

From there, the story essentially writes itself, especially with all the other possibilities that you get from classic movies and stories.

Trying to keep fluffy ponies alive in spite of themselves has always been an issue. One answer was to build a safe room designed to remove any possible hazard. the other answer was to amputate its legs and put it in a bowl.
Of the two, only the first one leaves the possibility for interesting stories.

I prefer the fluffy pony stupidity and macabre humor over abuse. Most abuse really just comes across as tryhard bullshit that misses the point of fluffy ponies entirely in favor of attempting to be edgy.

Hellgremlins. I love seeing innocent fluffies struggle through life with its ups and downs, but hellgremlins just make me hate them instead. Instead of enjoying the booru, more and more of its content was just making me angry instead. Pictures of fluffies I loved were getting rarer and rarer, gradually replaced by things I hate the most. Not just worse version of the fluffies, I mean things literally designed and fine-tuned to be as despicable and hate-inducing as imaginable.

Like the internet likes to advice, I tried to turn the tide by spending more of my time drawing the content I liked, but that did nothing when every good submission from me and any other old artists got buried under the flood of hellgremlins. There were still some good pics posted occasionally, but looking for them was not worth going through all the hellgremlin content pissing me off.

The fluffy fandom was taken over by its worst possible opposite, and new people who'd have liked the original fluffies turned away as the fandom looked like something they'd hate. Only now that the hellgremlin fandom has grown distinct enough from the oldschool fluffies to have their separate threads there's even hope of convincing people that fluffies can be something they'd enjoy rather than hate, and although I'm not too hopeful about it, I will start creating content that I won't post in Fluffybooru to help separate the good fandom from the hellgremlin one.
