"Feared and hated" is a classic european depiction of dragons. Satan is compared to a dragon in the bible (Revelation 20:2 is one example) and you have the myth of Saint George (which can be interpreted in many ways, but none that are good for dragons). In Asian culture, dragons are shown as wise and strong. Just pulling something from Wikipedia:

So those two fictional versions of dragons are the most culturally established ones. Dragons are either good or evil. Monsters or wise nobles.

There are a few fictional properties that take a more nuanced view of dragons, but not many. D&D has both good, evil, and morally grey dragons - some of them are both evil and wise, or just disinterested in human affairs. Shadowrun, another tabletop game, has dragons as power brokers, politicians, and CEOs. Weirdly, the most famous dragon was both a politician and benevolent. Lots of modern fiction also tends to put dragons in shades of gray. They're rarely ever all good or all evil.

Making characters that are nuanced is hard, so going for either 1Dional happens. Especially with dragons, dragons that turn out to be evil were never good and were simply pretending, or turned evil.

DnD seems to be capable of having dragons that are a mix of both, with good and bad traits that don't go full chaotic evil (that is completely irrideemable and in no way conversable) or lawful good that at worst is a little cheeky with the heroes.

Even though this is /scaly/ we sometimes post things that don't have scales. Sharks are a good example, so are feathered dragons, because people like them. But we generally don't post scaled fish or monstergirls because nobody likes them. If 90% of the posters are okay with something, the other 10% don't need to complain about it.
If someone posts something that doesn't fit, call them out on it, and if they don't stop, ignore it and move on. Nobody ever stopped soing something because they were called an autist.

Might have been AWSW. The real time period is something like jan 13 - feb 13, so it lines up.

I have a database of most of the posts and images for scaly related threads in trash. Posts and relational information are stored in a MariaDB instance, and calculations were through a bunch of SQL queries, some python to do the averages, and good old fashioned disk usage queries.

The numbers are a bit rough, since I think there's one or two threads that need to be pruned. There's also some missing images, which I have been trying to get hold of to complete the database, so the disk usage for images has been extrapolated based on current trends.

Can't be arsed to start it now, but exactly same hair and face combo with blue skintone instead.

The game seems pretty good so far. Major gripes is that the dialogue trees seem pretty standardly broad-stroked in branching. I also tried to heal that one NPC in the tutorial with a spell to no effect, only to come back later on and have a cutscene-healing moment.

The combat is fun and the characters feel good. So glad I didn't pick Red Prince as player character as now I get to enjoy his royally smug antics.

Dragoneer is well known for incompetence in every angle, and the fact FurAffinity being broken or hilariously behind in so many ways.

It really is a shame Weasyl didn't end up being better. Tumblr and Twitter both have ways of seeing original resolution, but have the problems of being impossible to find art if you don't already know about it.

Thanks for reading! I'm glad you guys liked it. With this I was really trying to both have more characters (that also had names) and have more characters to juggle around with, both things I usually actively avoid if I can 'cause I'm not particularly good at writing them. I doubt there'll be a followup, but I'm not absolutely saying no. If I do write something again, it more than likely it'll not feature a dragon as a secondary MC like the first three.
(Also out of curiosity, if a character really doesn't have any significant impact to the plot (like the inside server or the cashier at the bed shop) I don't write them with a specific sex in mind, so what sex did you read them as?)

Well, Jeffery obviously sounded like a guy, and the other cashier seemed female.
But you do bring up a good point, you're focusing on the important aspects, yet leaving a little bit out to let readers interpret it in their own way.
That's actually a good thing.

But as for your third character, you have a lot of options.
I like how you wrote "Anon McChan" and Stacie, and I liked the humor you were going for between them, but you dropped a lot of subtle stuff that some readers might not catch on. I was sitting there giggling like an idiot whenever Anon and Stacie talked, because it's so relatable, but it also doesn't hurt to try experimenting with other personalities.

Other than that it was a pretty solid story.
You might want to replace *pauses* with phrases like "He hesitated, they stopped and stared, she gave him a funny look before continuing"

I don't recall exactly, but I do think there is some sort of override for the region issue.
If not, then there are usually ways to get any and all demo bonuses patched onto your cartridge.
Shit, I think freeshop even allows that, and if not, I'm sure some fags on /vg/ will have the file to let you patch it in though.

However, if you're going to patch this in, you need to make sure that you create the data for the game before you apply the patch.
You know when you put a new cartridge in and it says "intializing data blah blah blah"? Just make sure that happens first. Otherwise the game doesn't launch and you have to manually go in your settings and delete the content from the "downloadable content" section.

That's what I like about written fiction, it's not "choose your own adventure", but in the best of stories there's enough unnecessary detail that however I prefer to interpret it won't ever be quite the same way someone else will.
I was honestly kinda worried about Stacey, I didn't feel as though she was as fleshed out personality wise as the MC and sister, and was really only there to have Sarah have someone to bounce off of.
Having things other than *pauses* admittedly probably reads better, but I feel like it draws too much attention to the moment when I'm literally trying to insert a blank space of time. ... works better for that, but that also gets repetitive. What to do.

I think stress comes mostly from uncertainty, which can overcome by applying a methodology to the thing that feels most unpredictable. So if it's a job, learn how to schedule and know your rights so you know exactly what can be demanded from you and what not.
