That particular render always bothers me though. Only 'cause her back is also pointy. They used a diamond-shape for the torso, and although she looks damn hot, her back isn't supposed to be pointy like that.
Sega aren't great at renders it seems. In her Shadow the hedgehog game render, part of her "noodle" leg shape blips through her shoe, and it's quite noticeable too.

I did notice that (not originally though, I did after I made some posts about this topic in a previous thread) but if there's *one* thing I'd like to imagine seeing that, is that she could of had Sonic's back spines as well, which, when you think of it, is a bit weird she never had some herself. All other hedgehogs had them, but not her. Maybe it's a male hedgehog thing in the end, but I wonder how that could look on Amy.

Still though, I still love SA2 Amy's model (despite the head shape a bit) but I'll still have a soft spot for Unleashed-Modern design, but since Unleashed for some reason the modern model doesn't have that "spark" it had in Unleashed to me. Don't know why. And that's why I want to make a model that combines Modern and SA2 into one nice package. If I actually make this model happen, cuz it's a painful process doing this...

For the official renders, they were going for a bit of realism, especially with skin texture and stuff. but the in-game engine is renderware, so everything looks like its made from plastic anyway.
Don't rush your model, just take your time, put some tunes on and enjoy the creation of something beautiful that peeps can enjoy.

I haven't done much looking around, but I haven't seen to much where he has "whined", but I've seen plenty of people whining ABOUT him, and about his work.

Like I said, I'm fairly new. But when it comes to drawfags, I usually give them the benefit out the doubt, because the big problem I've seen over the years is that someone can draw really well, but people just complain that they don't draw what they want. Like I previously posted, mostly I see people complain that he draws his own ocs too much.

I haven't seen anything that would make me thing he doesn't understand anatomy well enough to be drawing.

That's a good point with Tails, maybe Tails' Adventure happened during that time but idk... Some of the things in CD doesn't feel right to say it happened after 3K, it doesn't make much sense. I'm sure we can all say it happened after 1 for sure, but I'd only accept CD being before Sonic 2 or after it but before 3K. It couldn't of happened later since Mania (and even Sonic 4) made it clear they're supposed to happen after 3K and make it seem CD happened much earlier in time.

The Sonic and knuckles sprite seems like it was the odd one out in design. I personally feel like it was the best one out of the three. It was the peak performance of it's design. He had the absolute perfect shade of blue, it did not look faded or washed out looking. The shape of his shoes was better looking, no longer those flat clown feet he had going on. His face and expressions just look more vivid and lively. I wish they stuck with that for Mania but I do not hate them for going for the 1&2 design.

I mean I can't say I'm as good as the other arist mentioned in this thread and many more out there, but I keep drawing to improve and takes studies from time to time when I know I need more knowledge of something. I can say after visiting places like /ic/ has helped me improved myself since 2014, when all my shit back then is (to me) mediocre to shit. Maybe I'm being harsh on myself, but it is what it is.

But as some advice, you really don't need to draw well to make good models, you really need good 3D modeling knowledge to make a good 3D model. And I know that sounds daft, but I can safely say I wasn't doing a good job modeling before looking up proper tutorials to take the right steps, even though I'm still shaky with it doing this model as well.

Destiny does require a connection even to play solo. Too many games are like that. Not everyone has access to high enough speed internet to play games like that online. If I tried to, of be the guy that made everyone else's game lag, or I'd lose my connection on the middle of a raid or some shit.

See, thats one reason I like Marine so much. Theres a bunch of annoying as fuck Sonic characters (hello Charmy) that arent acknowledged in universe as annoying.

Except Marine. Marine annoys the fuck out of everyone. Its amusing. Chip is genuinely annoying, Marine is written that way for comedic effect.

Its sort of like that episode of Clone Wars where they partnered Jar Jar with C3po as a straight man. Suddenly Jar Jar was entertaining because you see Threepio sick of his shit and you connect with that.
