What's the worst board on 4chan and why is it /co/?

simply because their autism gets the most outside-of-4chan attention, and thus, the entire website becomes infamous for /pol/, and people associate /pol/ with the entire website. (much like how /b/ was the most famous 4chan board back in the mid-2000s)

I have to agree with this. It's partially because of the content, but it's mostly because of how much damage they've done to the site. Too many new users flocking to /pol/ and then spilling over into other boards has really done a number on this site.

/mlp/ has the struggle of being a blue board last I recall. They used to keep their more degenerate threads to themselves until "Scruffy" fucked it up. That was years ago though I think, my sense of time is skewed and I rarely ever visit out of curiosity. It's sort of like peeking through the window to the classroom full of screaming disabled children by the study hall room.

Yep, it happened in 2013. The mods didn't really care what got posted in the early days of the board. Porn wasn't officially allowed, but the threads would still last a while. Everyone was just happy to have all the ponyfags off other boards. After Faust visited, everything went to shit.

Anime is just either sexual exploitation, edginess for the sake of edginess, nonsensical writing that doesn't even make sense for the creators themselves, or dumb over-the-top action.

/mlp/ is more /b/'s fault than /co/'s. The brony fandom was relatively self-contained and surprisingly inoffensive when the show was first getting noticed.

Then a few chucklefucks started spamming pony-related content on /b/. /b/ assumed it was some sort of meme, and proceeded to spam it across other corners of the internet, until bronies became infamous for rubbing their fandom in everyone's noses.

/co/ is shitty these days for a lot of the same reasons 4chan in general is shitty these days. It's filled with a bunch of whiny, insecure children that think the world is trying to infiltrate and destroy their hobby. /co/ threads specifically get easily derailed by lazy /pol/ trolls trying to make every fucking discussion about identity politics.

And yes, speaking of /pol/, they're likely most responsible for 4chan's more recent decline. The entire board is like a perpetual Chanology, attracting self-important ass-hats that think contrarianism is some kind of be-all-end-all intellectual virtue.

Finally, /v/ is filled with too much underageb&. And has basically become a loosely vidya-related extension of /pol/ at this point.

It's so fucked up to say that /trash/ is probably one of the better boards at the moment. But here we are.
