Furries are irrefutably a part of every single culture in existence. Find one culture in which transformations of human to animal do not exist. There aren't. The fact that Ovid's Metamorphoses exists is a testament to the fact that it's at the heart of all European culture. If that's not enough, then the Romans also had their own before adopting many of the Greek myths, and as did the native Europeans who were ROMED.
