I like where the story is going from a dramatic standpoint. The situation with Trappy is important not for any potential snuff, but because of the tension and conflict it generates. Overcoming challenges give us a stronger sense that we've earned the reward, and thus we become more invested.
The internet is positively saturated in smut for every taste- but only rarely does one get to simultaneously indulge a fetish while enjoying emotional attachment to the characters involved.

Also, as for where to go afterwards, there has been a lot of interest in those bloated queen bugs. A lot of overlap between that fetish and the existing ones popular in the story. Who knows? Maybe we timeskip to when Verti want a family? Maybe a new anon with an obsessive stalker whose got the baby rabies? I'm not the one whose proven his skill at writing, so that's ultimately up to the author.
