Some people dip into a martyr complex with it, and others wear it with an almost prideful levity. I know what you mean and don't think your anger is irrational. That said, people cope and fight it in different ways, and everyone's sweet spot is a little different--not to mention goals in talking about it. These threads are quite a potpourri.

Something tells me that Clem is a cheap light beer and malt liquor sort of beer drinker. Also where do you live that a six pack of fancy beer costs $30? The most expensive fancy craft beer around here runs like $10-$12 a six pack and even that's ridiculous when you can buy a ~30 pack of cheap garbage for like $20. Of course the average pack of smokes around here is also four or five dollars rather than the eight or ten people in major cities seem to have to spend.

So anons I've always had really intensely vivid dreams. Last night I had a dream that I transformed into a weird animalistic female creature. I fought for dominance amongst a tribe on planet that had great sand dunes and grass plains. It was beautiful but I had to fight to keep my sanity among the world that constantly wanted to fight for the toughest amongst the tribe. It ended with me retransforming back into my human form and sending my spirit back into my mind. I felt deeply moved by how connected I felt with this character from another world. I was saddened that I might never experience that presence again. I've had transformation dreams happen a couple times. Each time they were very intense experiences but this was the first time I felt emotionally connected to the creature I transformed into.

What does this dream mean anons?

Have you ever had a dream that left you emotional wrecked or exhausted?

What about my near constant awful dreams, when I even have them in the first place, including (but not limited to): Death in just about every imaginable way, horrible debilitating sickness, having kids, everyone I know and love leaving me, being some random guy in a town under siege in the middle ages (In sepia?), and talking to people?

Fun fact; I had a dream about being eaten alive by a giant mutated plant thing when I was six, in way more detail than should have been possible for me to think of at the time.

Which is probably why plants freak me out.

I'm into cars, and I know for damn sure I'll never ride with the big dogs, but then they're a bunch of elitist fucks and reading Doug DeMuro's wordvomit about how he dropped 50k into a Foxbody Mustang he hasn't turned a single bolt on fills me with ragebile.

So I guess find the one thing that throttles your anxiety, take joy in being perma-mediocre, find some friends who share your not-quite-a-passion, and chill.

Mediocrity only sucks if you're alone, and people who're the best in a given field are usually miserable motherfuckers.

it was the cruelest fucking shit, you know? like sometimes with cancer someone'll have a single good day, and you show up then or not at all because it's their day to say goodbye.

my mom woke up, she was talking to people, making jokes, eating soup and applesauce even with aphasia. I got to hug her, I told her everything was going fine, that everyone was rooting for her, and that I'd be back next week to see her

and three days later she has a second stroke and my brother, who used to be an EMT takes her off life support.

It also fills me with more depression since I still have both my parents but their beginning to rapidly fall apart. It makes me wish we could just understand each other and like each other a bit more so we don't have to die with lingering frustration towards one another.

I think I am going to go curl up into a ball for a bit and cry.

Do shit for your folks if you can.

Bake cakes. Make dinner. If either of them had stories you remember from being a kid, have them dictate them so you can write them down. Ask about stories you haven't heard before. If your mom does all the chores, take over as many as you can handle.

Talk to them each separately and find out if there's some problem you can settle as a go-between.

I...I asked my mom to tell me the stories she told me as a kid so I could write them down, and by the time she was ready to tell me I was pissed at a video game or some dumb shit and I asked her if we could do it later.

That was about two months before she died.

Sometimes "later" doesn't come. Just enjoy it while it lasts, and try to make it last as long as possible.

But if they really aren't good fits for each other, let them break up. Better to have two seperate, numb parents than two miserable parents together hating each other's guts.

My dad had a stroke in 1999 that was the catalyst for him and my mom breaking up, because she didn't want to be his nursemaid (he'd lost a lot of functionality, but could still talk and work, just was terrible at budgeting and Life Shit) and we had no idea that my dad's side of the family was willing to just step in to keep them together.

And please, hug your mom for me.
>>
>>11222956
Thank you. I tell hug them and tell them I love them alot. Its just that my family can't stand being around each other. We all love each other but we all have mental illness or serious past issues that were never resolved (ex. shit my parents had to deal growing up with their own parents). I don't live with them anymore and we keep our distance. Its for the best of all of our mental health but it still saddens me that it has to be this way.

My parents are very traditional and probably should have broken up a long time ago but they stayed together for the kids and now their too old to separate even though they bicker and fight a lot.

I just am wondering and worrying what its going to be like when they both pass and all I have left is my brother. My brother resented my existence since I was born and didn't speak to me until I was 18. He used me as a punching bag for his autistic outbursts growing up and now we don't speak to each other at all.

Whats going to happen when I have to deal with him over something as emotional as losing one or both of our parents. I am an mental wreck and I worry about having to suddenly bear the family weight on my shitty shoulders.

Anons why am I such a pathetic shit?
>>
>>11223003
also they are in there mid to late 60s soon to be 70s and I am in my mid 20s. My brother is going to be 31 soon and is still a mental child whos getting married to an inbred mentally child-like woman with failing health and and a strong desire to populate the world with a million children .

I am the youngest and I am going to need to bear the brunt of my family at somepoint and it terrifies me. If I have to take care of my stupid brothers million kids in the future i am going to lose it
>>
>>11223026
Then break ties with him when your folks die.

Change your p/n and whatever emails he knows. Make sure aunts, uncles 'n shit know and also that he doesn't know. If he gets his shit together, he'll be able to find you-if he remains a dunghill, he'll find someone else's life to ruin.

If you can find a shrink who isn't shit, or a family counselor, take them. Leave your brother home.

My brother isn't quite as bad but we only get along now because we're all we have left.
>>
>>11223048
>we only get along now because we're all we have left
thats what I am afraid of

>family counselor
they refuse family therapy

>aunts and uncles
I don't have any relationships with my extended family. My family is the black sheep of my extended family. I am the black sheep of the black sheep family if then helps explain my situation.

>change you p/n emails
he doesn't talk to me anyway so doing that wouldn't really matter

I am supposed to be going to his inbred wedding this september. He reluctantly asked me to be a groomsmen at his wedding because he has no friends and my parents forced him to.

I am soon going to be a relative to a visibly inbred West Virginia super racist and deeply christian family that I want nothing to do with.

I really am dreading this fucking wedding. Is it in extremely bad taste for the brother of the groom to not make a speech at the wedding. I literally have nothing nice to say about my brother.

There. All technically true, vaguely approving-sounding, and a deep and intense burn if you think about it too hard. Just sound as earnest and understanding as possible and you should be able to pull it off.

Kept trying to keep him from an heroing with Everclear, didn't they?
>Though we never really got along, we recently began to speak to each other,
Exactly what it sounds like.
>and I'm glad to see he's found someone he loves
Because it means she's saddled with him instead of you.
>I wish him the best in his endeavors,
Faaar away from you.
>for after all, he is family
and you don't get to choose family.
>What else is there to say?
"This is literally all I can muster up to say about this stranger who came out of my mother's hoo-hah."

the other thing you want to do is, if they have a stroke, make sure they get a drain in their head as soon as fucking possible.

they waited like a day with my mom, on top of a two-hour helicopter ride down to a place with brain surgeons, and two hours to get her stable enough to go ON the helicopter. then they had to use fucking anticoagulants on her to get the blood that had solidified in her brain soft enough to remove.

I don't know if that made things worse, but it sure as hell didn't help, and I have a sneaking suspicion she had a half-healed stroke that got popped open by the anticoagulants, and that was the one that killed her.

hug your mom for me.

Figuring out what you want to do with your life is hell, and I only figured it out by sheer luck.

All I can offer is to try as many different things as possible, and maybe you'll find out what it is. In my case, driving made my anxiety shut up, and after I dropped $2k into a $500 car, I decided to learn how to fix cars, and fixing cars was fun.

>>
>>11229563
Welding isn't great but it's very good-paying work. You'll be able to afford moving to somewhere colder on the money.

Parlay your experience as a welder into an apprenticeship as a machinist. The metalworking trades are pretty close, and machining a gun is just fiddlier than making most other things.
>>
>>11229766
For example: I'd never live somewhere it snows, 'cuz in Clapistan we salt the roads and that means all cars rust from the ground up.

You wanna be cold? Move to Wisconsin. There's cheese, beer, and endless work for someone who can fix rust holes.

I wouldn't say that I was necessarily unwanted but I was definitely the least favorite. Both of my parents I don't think were emotionally stable enough to have children but they did anyway.

My mother had like 7 or so miscarriages in total so she reminded me of that a lot (remember you could have not been born you should be thankful of etc etc etc) also telling me constantly that my dead brothers and sisters were watching me at all times gave me a lot of nightmares as a kid.

My brother was the first and was always the favorite. He was a yes man and quietly followed everything my parents told him to do without question because he never talked. I voiced my opinions and my parents didn't like that so they didn't really pay much attention to me and didn't let me do really anything they let my brother do. They thought I was going to turn to shit and that he was going to be great. That turned around when my brother hit his 20s and turned to shit. Now they see me as the semi stable one (ppphhhfftt) while my brother is a ticking time bomb but now subdued on a lot of pills and cigarettes.

If you have any questions about whether your the favorite or not just ask your parents about you and your siblings baby pictures. If they have a million of them and none of you then that will tell you something.

Also I am the spongeanon from further up

Stick with your GF until you have a legitimate reason to leave I'd say. It's kinda shitty to just leave someone just because a better deal pops up.
>>

I can't give you great advice but I can give you my empathy. I am too much of a loser KHV to be saying much but Id say go with what you hear tells you you need to do.

Are you sticking with gf just becuase or do you really love her?

You say you really love this dude and have known each other longer. IMO I would go with the dude unless you have deep love for gf.

It will be shitty to break up with gf but it will also be shitty breaking dudes heart because you feel obligated to stay with gf

I think you have more to lose hurting someone you've known and have deep feelings for a long time then someone else you may not have the same strong feelings for

Have you tried talking to gf about it and see if she understands your plight or do you think she would destroy you if she found out

Kinda sounds like it. Legal states are the best because you can get the dankest of weed and know exactly what strain it is and the exact percentages of the individual cannabinoids in the plant or extract. Street weed can be anything from oregano or synthetic 'spice' to mexican brick weed to the dopest dope you ever smoked.

Get a job at literally any fast food joint or restaurant.

They have the single highest rates of employed drug users out of any profession, and that includes shitty manual labor, wall street, and rock stars. Just act hip and chill and if they don't outright approach you asking if you smoke weed you can easily spot the ones that do. The same method applies to hard drugs but you'll never be approached about it, it's something to brought up in private once they're comfortable and familiar with you being a fellow druggie loser.

I'm a burger so I wouldn't have a clue but I imagine it's a fairly universal thing. Turns out working with food blows ass, the requirement to get those jobs are nothing whatsoever provided you look eager enough to work, and most of the employers know they would have an infinitely harder time keeping and hiring people if they actually drug tested. A local restaurant can't afford to care about it even more than a huge chain like McDonald's can which is why huge chains are more likely to test and in general just watch their employees like hawks and train cameras on them.

You could also potentially meet drug people at bars and concerts and the like but it's harder to gain their trust and strike up conversation than if you worked with them at some shit job.

>>
>>11261772
Being a fuck up at work just means they'll schedule you for five hours a week until you quit if you don't fuck up bad enough to get fired on the spot.

There's also no real guide to being cool, it heavily depends on location but it basically comes down to talking to people and being friendly and sometimes looking the part. If people like you all that needs to happen is just a completely serious 'man I wish I could smoke a fat joint after work, think you could help me out?' to the right person and they'd almost always be down to smoke with you if they're a stoner and have weed to smoke. Don't be a tool that tries to be all wink wink nudge nudge subtle about it or they'll probably think you're weird.

Traditionally yeah it's cool as hell. I honestly regret waiting with Discord on even though that time wouldn't have been spent well otherwise. In any case, time to go back to doing nothing.

>still feel like it's 2014 some days
>look at music from the era and notice it's been three years
>Feed Me is 6 years old
>it's been five years since I drew reliably
>it's been four years since I felt really passionate about a TV show

Stop time and let me catch up, you sons of bitches.

Honestly, you know what taught me basic math?

Minecraft and STALKER.

Giving a shit about what you're doing makes it a helluva lot easier. I learned multiplication beyond 5s, 10s, and 2s from figuring out how many stacks of things I'd need to make a given building, and how many rounds would make however many magazines I'd need to take with me on a raid.

There's a mantra I live by since I finally managed to make my brain stop shrieking at me whenever I didn't do perfectly the first time:
"If it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid."
