Val has said here that he wants to keep OOPS smut- and (mostly) fetish-free, and that if it was going to go the porn route he would have made that clear from the beginning. Explain this webcomic to me. I started reading it and all I got was "Some guy gets transformed into some retarded ugly ass furry thing", and I don't get the appeal.

The worldbuilding is pretty good. It also explores how different sapient races could interact with humans in a human-dominated society, and how a very newly-created race is struggling to find its place in the world.

I think the most interesting thing about it, for me, is how its showing the main character reacting and dealing with being transformed into a weird little creature. It's a theme I think isn't done very often, or when it is done it's not done very well. I suppose it's a subject I've spent a lot of time thinking about and I'm glad someone is finally doing it right, if that makes sense.

Anyway, that's my rambling explanation of why I like the comic. I'm sure other people have other reasons.

Like said before the worldbuilding and interspecies interactions are pretty good and are honestly what draw me to the comic in the first place

Also, i think the humor is a actually really good, I was surprised when I first ran into OOPS on /co/ before they banned it. I was expecting it to be really cringey like most webcomics but it acutally landed some really good punches

I think they're a lot of fun, if only because it lets me get a good idea of what subjects people are thinking about in the comic, and how they're perceiving the comic setting overall (both lewd and non). My favorite part is that they're pretty much all incredibly close to my own perception of the setting, so apparently I'm doing a not-horrible job of conveying that well.

When I write greens it feels like there's some very well-defined guidelines regarding where the story can go and what the characters can do. Even now, I can't quite pinpoint where this sense of structure came from, so I can only chalk it up to the way the story is told and how it's concepts are conveyed.
