Kazerad, if you still read these threads; just go the patreon route already.
1. Set it to a per update payment option instead of monthly. So you're motivated to actually put out frequent updates/people don't think you're just scamming them for updates that may or may not come.
2. Tell people they can cap their payment (patreon collects payment at the end of the month) if you feel as if you'll be putting out too many updates. Even a dollar a month adds up.
3. Add no rewards for higher payments, they eat too much time and effort and don't justify the cash gained. Just have this strictly as a tip jar.
I know it sounds strange, but some people will give money to see someone do something they love. I say this as someone who contributed 100 bucks to your crowdfund. I didn't really care for the merchandise (tapestry poster is pretty neat though, Katia candy was probably the 2nd best thing). I just wanted to help you so you could stay afloat and continue the story.
4. Make updates.

Bam, cash flow and you're doing a thing you love for a living to boot. Plus you don't have to draw any more stupid commissions for furfags. And maybe your fan base will become less cancerous since there's actually something to discuss again instead of how they want to fug the kat.

And as far as the flash updates go; they're neat but they are no way worth the time and effort they take to make. Especially when you have hidden shit so I have to play ten times over to see everything.
Maybe set them off for side stories and not the main story.
